Abstract

The community partnership program aims to assist the Fisherman's Children Care Community (IDADA) in implementing out-of-school mentoring and teaching in the concept of religious literacy by emphasizing The Nine Golden Habits, using the 9LTE technique: Educational Capture Literacy Movement with the help of hand puppets to children in Kampung Pelangi Belawan. The Nine Golden Habits with the help of hand puppets aims to help children know and apply Islamic etiquette, the concept of morals towards oneself, morals towards Allah SWT, and morals towards fellow human beings. The team used hand puppet media combined with 9 LTE ??animation, as an intermediary tool for the 9LTE Gymnastic practice (Educational Capture Literacy Movement) emphasizing The Nine Golden Habits, which is a guideline for implementing Islamic practices which contains nine basic habits in order to realize a Muslim personality. the truth. The nine golden habits are the habit of praying, the habit of fasting, the habit of giving zakat, the habit of reading the Koran, the habit of reading books/scriptures, the habit of Islamic civility in every activity carried out, the habit of reciting the Koran and being in a community of pious people, the habit of social organization. and social, habits of positive thinking and smiling, assisted by hand puppets combined with 9 LTE ??animations aimed at making it easier for children to receive material and introduce religious literacy in everyday life.

Abstract

The process of learning English in Thailand faces several challenges. One of the aim problems is the lack of opportunities for student to practice speaking English in real situations. This study examines investing EFL students’ experiences with ELSA as digital tool for speaking practice. 20 three-grade in junior high school in Muslim Suksa School. The data collected through speaking test and interview.The result show many students agree about ELSA speak application because the application its effectiveness for them because can use everywhere. ELSA speak make the student more confidently. They can also find out how good their English-speaking skills are.The study concludes that students in Thailand enjoy using the Elsa application and they also have experience using the Elsa application.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the types of illocutionary hate speech acts in social media comments. Qualitative design is conducted in this research. The technique of data collection are free listening techniques (Simak Bebas Libat Cakap) and recording techniques. Data analysis techniques in this study used metode padan and metode agih. The types of illocutionary was assertive that were boasting, complaining, stating, and suggesting, expressive that was blaming, and declaration that was excommunicating. The most common language was found to be more dominant in assertive speech acts. The number was more found, namely 32 assertive speech act quotes about boasting, complaining, stating and suggesting. Expressive speech acts are found only in the blame part. In detail, the expressive part of blaming can be explained, there are 17 quotes. The speech act of the declaration of the excommunication section has 6 quotations.Keywords: Hate speech acts; speech acts; social media

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the types of politeness strategies and how politeness strategies are realized by Joe Biden’s speech act when delivering the content of his speech. This research used descriptive qualitative.The data an Source of the data was done collect from https://youtu.be/J5j7OR_IdfM. The data of the research of qualitative method consisted of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The approach for analyzing the politeness strategies is based on Brown and Levinson’s Theory of Politeness. There are four politeness strategies that are mentioned by Brown and Levinson, they are Bald on Record, Positive Politeness, Negative Politeness and Off Record. The data of politeness strategies utterances that have been analyzed are 24 utterances which are politeness strategies used in Joe Biden’s speech. The politeness strategies contained in Joe Biden’s speech consist of 4 Bald on Record utterances, 10 Positive Politeness utterances, 8 Negative Politeness utterances, and 2 Off Record utterances.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam kegiatan ini adalah membantu komunitas IDADA (Komunitas Peduli Anak Nelayan) dalam memberikan pendampingan dan pengajaran di luar sekolah kepada anak-anak di Kampung Pelangi dalam proses belajar membaca dan menulis dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif berupa Pop up Book merupakan buku yang berisi catatan bergambar tiga dimensi yang mengandung unsur interaktif dan memberikan visualisasi yang lebih menarik. Komunitas IDADA merupakan komunitas peduli anak nelayan Kampung Pelangi, merupakan komunitas yang dibentuk dan dikelolah oleh mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara dalam program kreativitas mahasiswa (PKM) Kemdikbudristek tahun 2021. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan oleh komunitas IDADA salah satunya sebagai wadah anak-anak Kampung Pelangi memperoleh pengetahuan tambahan di luar sekolah. Metode pelaksanaan dalam program penerapan pembelajaran media interaktif  Pop-Up Book upaya pemberantasan CALIS (Penguasaan Baca, dan Tulis) bagi anak 3T Kampung Pelangi Belawan memiliki tahapan pekerjaan program pelaksanaan secara kolaboratif. Hasil capaian program pengabdian mengacu pada indikator keberhasilan jangka pendek, selama pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada mitra yang dapat dilihat dari kesesuaian jenis dan jumlah luaran yang telah dihasilkan serta persentase hasil terhadap keseluruhan target kegiatan dapat terlihat pada grafik kebehasilan mencapai 90%. Selain itu juga, anak-anak Sekolah Dasar Kelas I dan 3 di Kampung Pelangi dalam penguasaan membaca dan menulis sudah dinyatakan mahir dikarenakan media pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar sangat menarik.
