Abstract

Os Femur radiography with suspected distal 1/3 fracture to show the fracture and abnormalities found in the Os Femur. The femur has the function of supporting and supporting the body, as a place of attachment for large muscles, and as a place for the production of red blood cells in the bone marrow. Fractures of the Os Femur are more often caused by forced injuries which often occur in traffic accidents where the patient experiences decreased consciousness and active bleeding occurs. At this writing, the examination projections used are Antero-Posterior and Lateral projections. The aircraft used by General X-Ray uses 200 mA. Image recording using Computed Radiography (CR). This research was conducted at the Haji Medan General Hospital with qualitative and descriptive research. Data collection was carried out by interviews, documentation and direct photography in the field. The conclusion from the results of the X-ray examination of the femur is a diaphyseal fracture of the distal 1/3 of the femur in the contrast position, the alignment is not good, which is shown using Antero-Posterior and Lateral projections and using Computed Radiography (CR) film processing so as to provide clear image results. optimal for diagnosing diseases and disorders.

Abstract

The esophagus (esophagus) is a muscular tube-shaped channel 20-25 cm long, starting from the pharynx to the cardiac entrance to the stomach. Located behind the trachea and in front of the spine. After passing through the thoracic cavity, it penetrates the aphragm, then enters the abdomen and connects to the stomach. Radiographic examination of the esophagus is a radiographic examination using positive and negative contrast media to reveal the anatomy, function and abnormalities that occur in the esophagus. To get this diagnostic picture, a radiological examination is carried out using X-rays. With the help of X-rays we can find out if there are abnormalities in the esophagus and changes in its structure and its effect on the surrounding organs. The projections carried out include Antero Posterior Projection using contrast media, and Lateral Projection. This research uses descriptive and qualitative research methods. The research was carried out in February 2022 at the Radiology Installation at the Haji General Hospital in Medan using a General Pur-pose X-Ray (GPX) X-ray aircraft with a capacity of 500mA, and using a shadow recording process with Computer Radiography (CR). Data collection techniques include observation, documentation and interviews. Then the collected data is processed and connect

Abstract

The ossa pedis is part of the lower extremity which consists of the femur, ossa pedis. The lower limbs are divided into several parts including the ossa pedis (leg bones), which consists of 26 bones and is divided into 3 parts. Dislocation is the movement of the touching surface of the bone which makes up the joint or what is usually called the joint head coming out of the cup, so that the bones that form the joint are no longer connected automatically. Radiography of the ossa pedis with suspected dislocation of the proximal digit II interphalangeal is a radiographic examination to show the anatomy and abnormalities of the ossa pedis by using x-rays. This study aims to obtain an image of the fracture of the ossa pedis from the Dorso-Plantar and Oblique projections, with optimal sharpness and detail so that it can show the bone structure and abnormalities that occur in the ossa pedis. This researcher used a qualitative type of method, using a General X-ray Unit x-ray aircraft with image processing using computed radiography (CR). Data was collected through literature studies, observations, interviews and documentation. The research results were obtained from a radiographic examination of the ossa pedis with the suspicion of proximal digit II interphalangeal dislocation with the doctor's interpretation: visible proximal digit II interphalangeal dislocation.

Abstract

Urethral stricture is a narrowing of the urethra caused by scar tissue ( fibrosis) which leads to obstruction of the urinary tract with potentially serious consequences for the urinary tract. Urethral stricture can cause symptoms of urinary obstruction and irritation that ultimately damage the kidneys. In this writing, the projections used are Anteroposterior (AP) and Right Posterior Oblique (RPO). This research was conducted at RSU Haji Adam Malik Medan in April – July 2021. The type of research used was descriptive qualitative research. Descriptive research is a search for facts with appropriate interpretation . The results of diagnostic examinations provide information about abnormalities in the urinary tract using Digital Radiography (DR) as film processing and Uretrocystography with suspected urethral stricture using a General x-ray unit with a capacity of 300 mA.

Abstract

Abdominal radiography with suspected swallowed foreign body can be defined as an abdominal examination for a sudden condition in the form of a foreign object in the abdominal cavity that requires immediate action. Foreign body is a common cause of emergency unit visits and can enter the human body through various methods, namely by swallowing, inhalation, and intentional insertion. Foreign body can occur at all ages, especially children because they often put objects into their mouths. This study aims to find out how to perform an abdominal examination with suspected foreign body where the patient is a child. The projections used are Antero-Posterior Erect and Lateral, which can show the anatomy and location of the foreign body in the abdominal cavity. The type of research carried out is a qualitative research method, with data collection techniques based on observation results. The results of the study obtained abdominal radiographic examination with suspected foreign body with film processing carried out using Digital Radiography (DR).

Abstract

The vertebral column is the main pillar of the body's bones that supports the head, upper extremities, and chest cavity. One of the abnormalities in the thoracolumbar vertebrae is Scoliosis. Scoliosis is a deformity of the spine to the lateral side that is excessive in the vertebrae. The effects of Scoliosis will be clearly visible if this disease attacks the lumbar region and causes the pelvis to tilt which impacts the lower extremities so that the patient limps or cannot balance when walking. Scoliosis examination is carried out using several projections, namely Anteroposterior (AP) for supine patients or Posteroanterior (PA) for erect patients is more recommended, Lateral with an erect position, and (AP) bending right and left. This examination was carried out at Bhayangkara TK II Medan in May 2025 with observation and interviews, through image processing using Computer Radiography (CR). The X-ray machine used in the implementation of Lumbar Vertebrae column radiography with suspected Scoliosis is a type of machine with a capacity of 500 mA, but researchers chose a large focus of 200 mA to obtain optimal image sharpness. Because the object being examined is relatively large, it is best to use a grid for image contrast (200 mA).

Abstract

Elbow Joint is the joint between the radius-ulna and the humerus. The Elbow Joint examination technique is a radiological examination to see clinical or disease around the elbow joint. In the clinical there is a disease called Arthritis which is inflammation of the joints, especially in the elbow joint. The purpose of this study was to determine the Elbow Joint examination technique and the results of the Elbow Joint radiograph image with clinical arthritis at the Radiology Installation of Medan Haji General Hospital in May 2025, using an x-ray machine with a capacity of 500 mA, but the author only used 100 mA to obtain optimal image sharpness. This study uses a qualitative method, data collection is carried out through observation techniques, and consultations with radiology specialists, and discussions with radiographers, as well as documentation and library studies. The collected data are then analyzed to obtain conclusions. The results of the study show that the Elbow Joint examination technique in clinical arthritis uses two projections, namely Antero posterior and Lateral. through image processing using Computer Radiography (CR). In the lateral projection, the object position is not correct due to the patient's stiff condition. However, the radiograph results produced show a fairly clear anatomical image, so they can help establish a diagnosis.
