Abstract

PT. XZ is a company engaged in the manufacture of flip-flops. One of the sandal products produced is Screen-printed flip flops. However, in every production process failure is inseparable in the form of defective products in the production process. The purpose of this research is to minimize defects in Screen printing products. To reduce these defects, it is necessary to analyze the production process using the Statistical Process Control method. The analysis was carried out by using Seven Tools and 5W+1H tools. The results of the analysis show that the types of defects that occur in Screen printing products are the color of the paint is uneven, the paint is smeared and peeled off, and the Screen printing is not precise. Based on the three types of defects, the most dominant defect is uneven paint color with a percentage of 41,8%. Screen printing product defects are caused by human, machine, material, and method. Improvement efforts made to minimize the occurrence of uneven/fading paint color defects, namely conducting briefings and conducting supervision and checking on Screen printing results, checking on the Screen before printing is done, checking paint before printing, and providing training on rework standardization to employees and conducting regular performance evalutions. Abstract

PT GMK is a company in the chocolate industry, with its main product being Collata chocolate blocks. Despite being one of the leading producers, the company faces significant challenges in maintaining product quality, especially regarding color, aroma, and weight, which do not meet specifications and could potentially reduce consumer trust. This study aims to identify the root causes of product defects and offer corrective solutions using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method and Fishbone Diagram analysis. Based on data from observations and interviews with the production and quality control teams, three main defects were identified with the highest Risk Priority Numbers (RPN): color deviation (RPN 540), aroma deviation (RPN 245), and weight deviation (RPN 120). The Fishbone analysis reveals that human, machine, environment, and method factors significantly contribute to these defects. Proposed corrective actions include retraining operators to improve process understanding, periodic calibration of weighing machines, and improving production environment conditions by adding adequate ventilation. Implementing these improvements is expected to reduce defect rates and enhance the consistency of chocolate bar quality at PT GMK. Additionally, it will strengthen the company’s competitiveness in the market by ensuring higher consumer satisfaction and loyalty

Abstract

Mc.Donald’s merupakan salah satu restoran cepat saji yang berada di kawasan perumahan elit Karawaci namun adanya pelayanan pesan antar yang lambat maka menimbulkan tingkat keluhan pelanggan masih tinggi. Maka penulis melakukan analisa peningkatan kualitas layanan kepada konsumen menggunakan metode Service Quality yang bertujuan untuk menentukan kualitas pelayanan di McDonald ST’MARK Karawaci dengan menggunakan 5 (lima) dimensi Service Quality yaitu ada tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance dan emphaty. Dilanjutkan dengan metode KANO yang tujuannya untuk mendiagnosis atribut-atribut yang didasarkan pada kepentingan masing-masing apakah pelayanan tersebut berkinerja buruk atau berkinerja berlebih. Dari hasil nilai gap antara kualitas pelayanan tiap dimensi menunjukkan kualitas pelayanan yang kurang baik. Adapun hasil dimensinya, Tangible 0,978, Reability 0,962, Responsiveness 0,981, Assurance 0,971, Emphaty 0,966. Atribut yang perlu ditingkatkan dalam pelayanan di McDonald ST’MARK Karawaci yaitu seluruh atribut layanan, dan seluruh atribut masuk ke dalam kategori Kano Reverse. Hal ini berarti bahwa seluruh atribut layanan harus diperbaiki karena masih banyak konsumen yang kurang puas terhadap layanan di McDonald St.Mark Karawaci. Hal ini lah yang menyebabkan turunnya jumlah konsumen di McDonald St.Mark Karawaci. Dari hasil penilaian kualitas pelayanan tiap dimensi menunjukkan kualitas.

Abstract

DRA Component Persada is a manufacturing company that produces various types of bolts. The main problem faced by companies is unstable fluctuations in demand, so that sometimes there is a buildup of stock or a shortage of inventory in the warehouse. The aim of this research is to analyze forecasting demand and supply of bolt products at PT. Dra Component Persada. To overcome this, this research uses the Time Series forecasting method which includes Moving Average, Weight Moving Average, and Exponential Smoothing to determine future demand and the Safety Stock method to overcome demand instability. From the results of calculations carried out by the author, the Exponential Smoothing model with a = 0.2 is the optimal forecasting model with the smallest error level, namely with a Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) of 1,218,085, a Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 1,886,215,000,000 , and the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) is 2.74%. The forecast for the coming period is predicted to be 4,440,637 pcs, while the safety stock required is 393,215 pcs with a service level of 95%. It is hoped that the application of forecasting and safety stock methods can increase stock management efficiency and better meet customer needs.

Abstract

PT Sicer Indonesia is a ceramic manufacturer company which is produce various types of products such as Glaze, Engobe and Medium. Observations were made on the Titanium Frit (Glaze) production section and Quality Control results. This research aims to determine the factors that cause defects in products, determine corrective actions and reduce the number of product defects. Defects that often occur in Titanium Frit are Less White, Pinhole, Blackspot and Yellowish. Where the largest percentage of defects was in February at 43.2%. Therefore, effective quality control efforts are needed. In this research, the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) methods were used to identify and analyze defects that occurred. FMEA is used to determine and multiply the severity level, occurrence level and detection level, to obtain a Risk Priority Number (RPN) value which can determine the priority of defects that must be prioritized for repair. The highest RPN defect value is the Pinhole defect with RPN 448.. FTA is used to find out the root cause of the defect that occurs. The main factors causing defects in the Titanium Frit production process consist of 4 factors, human factors are caused by workers who do not work according to SOP, lack of machine maintenance, unstable material quality, and environmental contamination. The results or quality improvement actions taken are carrying out consistent supervision to ensure that workers have worked according to the SOP and carrying out maintenance on materials and machines as a whole regularly before use.
