Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of the level of understanding of Chartered Accountant (CA), motivation to obtain a Chartered Accountant (CA) and attitudes regarding Chartered Accountant (CA) on the interest of students to take up the profession Chartered Accountant (CA) at Private Islamic Universities in Medan City. This research uses the associative quantitative research. This study uses primary data where data is collected using a questionnaire. This research was conducted on the seventh semester students of class 2015 at the Private Islamic University in Medan City with a population of 747 students and a sample of 261 respondents. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive statistics, classic assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing and coeficient of determination tests. The results of the analysis show that the level of understanding of Chartered Accountant (CA) affects the interest of students to take the chartered accountant profession. Motivation to get a Chartered Accountant (CA) affects the interest of students to take the chartered accountant profession. The attitude about Chartered Accountant (CA) affects the interest of students to take the chartered accountant profession. The results of the analysis prove that simultaneously the Level of Understanding of Chartered Accountant (CA), motivation to get a Chartered Accountant (CA) and attitudes regarding Chartered Accountant (CA) influence the interest of students to take the chartered accountant profession.

Abstract

Breast cancer is the most common cancer suffered by women in the world, 15-20% is a subtype of triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). TNBC is a subtype of breast cancer that does not express genes for estrogen receptors (ER), progesterone receptors (PR) and HER2 overexpression, which is clinically more aggressive and unresponsive to standard therapy, thus it can worsen the prognosis. It suggests that TNBC is associated with BRCA-1 gene mutation, moreover in African-Americans. So this study aims to determine the association of TNBC with BRCA-1 gene mutation and ethnicity. International journal literature review. BRCA-1 gene mutations increased 45%-85% of the risk of breast cancer growth and 15% -25% of TNBC have BRCA-1 gene mutations which resulted in activation inefficiencies of the HR DNA repair pathway. TNBC occurred in 60% of the black race, disproportionate incidence of TNBC greater in African ethnicity compared to other ethnic groups in the world and has the worst prognosis among all races. There is asignificant association between TNBC with BRCA-1 gene mutations and ethnicity especially in African-Americans.

Abstract

Abstrak. Latar belakang penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya sumber daya manusia (SDM) dalam industri pelayaran, khususnya terkait dengan kepatuhan terhadap ketentuan safe manning. Safe manning merupakan persyaratan yang dikeluarkan oleh Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Laut, yang mewajibkan perusahaan pelayaran untuk memastikan kru kapal memiliki kompetensi sesuai standar nasional dan internasional. PT. Taraka Samudra Sejahtera, sebagai perusahaan pelayaran, bertanggung jawab dalam merekrut dan mengelola kru kapal sesuai dengan ketentuan ini. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi perusahaan adalah ketidakpatuhan terhadap mekanisme pergantian kru kapal yang sesuai dengan standar safe manning, yang dapat mempengaruhi operasional kapal dan keselamatan kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis mekanisme pergantian kru kapal di PT. Taraka Samudra Sejahtera serta dampaknya terhadap kepatuhan pada ketentuan safe manning. Kerangka konsep yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melibatkan analisis kebijakan manajemen SDM, faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal yang mempengaruhi pergantian kru, serta kepatuhan terhadap regulasi safe manning. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pergantian kru kapal di PT. Taraka Samudra Sejahtera sering mengalami hambatan, seperti kurangnya kru pengganti yang kompeten, posisi jabatan yang tidak sesuai, dan kendala administratif. Untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut, perusahaan telah mengambil beberapa langkah, termasuk merekrut kembali kru lama yang berkinerja baik, menyiapkan cadangan kru, dan memberlakukan sanksi untuk pelanggaran aturan. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun upaya telah dilakukan untuk mematuhi ketentuan safe manning, masih terdapat beberapa area yang memerlukan perbaikan untuk memastikan operasional kapal yang aman dan efisien.
