Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survey eksplanasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan angket (kuesioner) dengan model skala likert. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan responden adalah siswa salah satu Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan di Kota Cimahi sebanyak 264 orang didapat dari teknik pengambilan sampel jenis sampel acak sederhana (random sampling). Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kecerdasan emosional memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa. Adapun pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa sebesar 21,85%. Dengan demikian kemandirian belajar siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui peningkatan kecerdasan emosional.Kata Kunci: kecerdasan emosional, kemandirian belajarTHE ROLE OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AS A FACTOR IN  AFFECTING STUDENT INDEPENDENCE LEARNINGThe purpose of this study was to analyze influence emotional intelligence to independent learning. This research used explanatory survey method. Data collection techniques used interviews and question form with likert scale model. This study used a quantitative approach, the respondents were students of Vocational High School in Cimahi as many as 264 people obtained from random sampling. The analysis technique was simple regression. The result of the study revealed that emotional intelligence has a positive effect and it has significant impact on student learning independence. The contribution of emotional intelligence to independent learning were students is 21,85%. Thus the independent learning can be improved through increased emotional intelligent.Keywords: emotional intelligence, independence learning

Abstract

This research was conducted in three State Vocational High Schools at Indramayu sub-district and Sindang sub-district. The issue became a study in this research is not optimal teacher job satisfaction including the working conditions and conditions that do not match expectations, comfort in work and relationships with superiors. Focused directed at factors that influenced teacher job satisfaction. Principles of leadership function and organizational climate are the factors that thought to have influence on the teachers job satisfaction. Therefore the study examines three variables, namely the principles of leadership function (X1), organizational climate (X2) and teachers job satisfaction (Y). This research used descriptive and verification methods. Data collection techniques used question form. The respondents were civil servants of The State Vocational High School 1 Indramayu, State Vocational High School 2 Indramayu and State Vocational High School 1 Sindang as many as 87 people. The data technique analyzed using the regression. The result of the data analysis revealed that the principles of leadership function included in very good category, organizational climate in very good category, meanwhile teachers job satisfaction at The State Vocational High School 1 Indramayu, State Vocational High School 2 Indramayu and State Vocational High School 1 Sindang included in very good category. Based on the analyzed of regression, the result revealed that the principles of leadership function and organizational climate are both partially and simultaneously, has a positive and significant influence toward teacher job satisfaction.
