Abstract

Dystopia is a literary genre that tells a story of a place where everything is very bad. Dystopia has several characteristics such as dehumanization and totalitarianism. Dystopia provides another perspective in dealing with various social phenomena or problems. This is called defamiliarization so it is considered important to be raised into a work. The stages of the process of creating this Final Assignment work are based on David Campbell's creative method formulation, namely, 1.) Preparation, 2.) Concentration, 3.) Incubation, 4.) Illumination (AHA!), 5.) Verification/Production. The technique used to realize the work is the printing technique in etching-aquatint with the form of landscape imagery. These works are a response to the author's experience in the form of reading activities and watching films which resulted in a series of graphic art works which are a series of dystopian stories that are intended to be conveyed to the public so that they can think critically and are expected to provide a new perspective in dealing with social phenomena related to dystopia.

Abstract

Traditional market in Surakarta is still preserved and being part of economic activity of the society,despite the increasing number of supermarkets. The revitalization of these markets is one of the medium-term development plans of Surakarta because compared to the other sources, traditional markets make the biggest contribution to the local government revenue. One of these markets is thewestern part of Pasar Gedhe Hardjonagoro whose commodities are fresh fruits. Unfortunately, therehabilitation and renovation programs are only focused on the main building. The inside area wherethe trade activities between sellers and buyers happen is excluded from the rehabilitation program.Considering Pasar Gedhe as a tourist destination, the needs of market management especially fordisplaying the product is essential to attract the consumers and tourists. This article is the result of anapplied research in interior design about the design of display system of fruit sellers in the westernpart of Pasar Gedhe Hardjonagoro in Surakarta. This applied research is a qualitative descriptiveanalysis with case study approach. The work employs functional, ergonomic, thematic, and stylishapproaches for the design solution. The result acquired from the interior design research is a zoningwhich is divided into selling, circulation and service, outdoor zone, and managing the circulation andtwo-side services, and creating the interior theme. While the result on the display design is the designneeds to be able to functionally support the trade activities, easy to maintenance, solid, long-lasting,safe, the display system represents the locality, and how the commodities can be an interesting visualattraction. The display system is designed to be an open layout system so that it creates a sociocultural interaction for the people within the market.Keywords: Pasar Gedhe rehabilitation, zoning, display system, functionality, visual attraction.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research was conducted on the basis of there are at least three reasons why the first is,  there has been no mapping to the printmaking community in Yogyakarta and their activity. Second, raise awareness college students to forming a community as a receptacle for learning, working, and do the movement of together in independent to develop printmaking. Third, the results of the study to  determine  the  learning methods  that  continued  as  an  effort  to  increasing  the  quality  of  the artworks of  the students are, created  the atmosphere at work,  to providing  the socialization about printmaking  to  the  people.  Qualitative  descriptive  study  is  used  in  analyzing  the  results  of observations  are  done  continuously  thus  obtaining  a  complete  mapping  concerning  the phenomenon of the growth of the printmaking communities following the influence of existence of them  in  the  development  of  printmaking  in  Yogyakarta,  and  positive  values  to  be  adopted  or developed further as learning materials for graphic art students the Indonesia Institute of The Arts  Surakarta. The result of research conducted in the form of mapping the art community graphic in yogyakarta and recommendations on one method learning with a system of the formation of groups small  in  the  class  in  the process of  the achievement  of  the  creation  for  students, and a growing spirit to introduce printmaking to the people of Surakarta to become a branches of art popular.  Keywords: mapping , community , printmaking, popular.

Abstract

Research covered titled visualize prayer road crosses by adopting the Wayang Beber style used a woodcut technique of the printmaking is the artistic research (the creation of art) that is carried out based on the art of printing graphic especially a woodcut which is initially be used as a tool to increase religious manuscripts , book illustrations , and then used as propaganda media can be printed because she is the presence of many unique visual and character .Pengkarya use uniqueness in the graphic arts this as an element that reinforce the value estetik and artistic work in visual. This research which was conducted with us is to conduct a study on the degree to which the prayers of devotion road crosses was influential on the strengthening of the value of the true faith admit this catholics in general. The study on Wayang Beber show some years previously had broken also needs to be undertaken of the aspect of visual and if they used these tools as a means of second to disseminate the rudimentary and elemental teachings religious and the good aspects it has done. Through a process go brainstorm and the review of visual artworks in with the theme of or illustration the story of poor reduced to such misery in its course the cross of Jesus Christ was one of those which is borne by their stations of a place of rest the way of a cross in religious place then enacted into a the theme of the creation of the aertwork. Abstract

The research entitled “Rempah Nusantara dalam Seni Lukis pada Media Talenan dengan Teknik 3D” is applied research based on the development of painting which functions as a medium of information about the natural wealth of the archipelago. Aside from spices and medicineherbscesis  are also very suitable to be used as a source of ideas in the creation of works of art. Because spices have various and unique shapesattarstractive colors. Using applied research methods with various stags, including: observation of objects or observations, contemplation, experimentation, fo,rmation, work and presentation. This research is focused on creating innovative works of art with the theme of Indonesian spices on cutting boards techniques technique, so that the spices look as real as they are on a cutting board. The purpose of this research is to reintroduce native Indonesian spices to the wider community with the medium of painting, as well as to explore new possibilities in terms of developing techniques that are more innovative and have an economic impact.
