Abstract

Cases of illegal drugs and drug abuse in the elementary school community in Indonesia is increasingly massive and alarming. An innovation to protect elementary school students from that situation is through the colaboration of academics from Bandung Institute of Technology with FDA in Palu in the form education of anti-drug abuse for elementary school students through quartet card media. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of the education on anti-drug abuse knowledge in fifth grade students in Palu City. The research method used pre-experimental design with the design of one group pretest-posttest on three elementary schools which were representatives of three ranks namely; good, quite good and not good based on the results of the Smart-Accurate Quiz FDA in Palu for elementary school level in 2017. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Observation of knowledge of elementary students using questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability had been carried out. The pretest and posttest were conducted before and after education. The comparison of pretest and posttest data in each elementary school was analyzed using paired T test whereas for all elementary school data analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with hypotheses. There was an influence of anti-drug abuse education through quartet card media on anti-drug abuse knowledge in fifth grade students in Palu City. The results showed that there was an influence of education on anti-drug abuse knowledge in fifth grade students from elementary school representatives “good and quite good ranking” with p values of 0.005 and p ≤ 0.001, while in elementary schools representatives “not good ranking”, the education did not influence their knowledge with a p value of 0.149. Analysis of the Wilcoxon test in all elementary schools showed a p value p ≤ 0,001, which meant that education had an influence on the knowledge of fifth grade students in elementary schools in Palu City.

Abstract

Perundungan berdampak pada kesehatan mental siswa yang menjadi korban. Penelitian-penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan korelasi pola asuh dengan perundungan. Telaah lebih lanjut menunjukkan adanya perbedaan hasil antara penelitian-penelitian tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian metaanalisis ini untuk menguji asosiasi pola asuh (demokratis, permisif, dan ototriter) dengan perundungan berdasarkan hasil-hasil korelasional antara pola asuh dan perundungan yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti. Laporan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian yang terbit antara 2010 sampai dengan 2019 dari data base Taylor and Francis, ProQuest, ScienceDirect, dan Portal Garuda. Berdasarkan diagram PRISMA, dari 233 penelitian diperoleh 18 data sekunder dengan karakteristik sampel yaitu siswa dan mahasiswa. Pola asuh demokratis dengan perilaku perundungan ditemukan tidak berkorelasi (Zr= -0,0970 dengan CI: -0,204 – 0,01; p>0,05) dan menunjukkan bias publikasi yang tinggi (fail-safe N= 16), sedangkan pola asuh otoriter dan perundungan berkorelasi positif (Zr= 0,280 dengan CI:0,195 – 0,365; p < 0,01) dan menunjukkan bias publikasi yang rendah (fail-safe N= 1536). Pola asuh permisif dengan perundungan juga menunjukkan korelasi positif (Zr= 0,223 dengan CI: 0,060 – 0,387; p < 0,01) dan menunjukkan bias publikasi yang rendah (fail-safe N= 171). Tingkat pendidikan sebagai variabel moderator bagi pola asuh demokratis dengan perundungan.

Abstract

Hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) is widely used as an oxidizing agent in hair cosmetic products, requiring reliable and validated analytical methods to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance. This study investigated the effect of column temperature and validated a high-performance liquid chromatography–photodiode array (HPLC–PDA) method for H₂O₂ determination in hair cosmetic formulations using triphenylphosphine (TPP) derivatization under tropical laboratory conditions. The triphenylphosphine oxide (TPPO) derivative exhibited a stable maximum absorbance at 222 nm within the concentration range of 20–120 ppm, which was selected as the detection wavelength. System suitability was evaluated at ambient temperature, 35, 40, 45, and 50 °C. Column temperatures between 40 and 50 °C fulfilled all system suitability and validation criteria, demonstrating acceptable efficiency, peak symmetry, retention time stability, and reproducibility. Among these conditions, 40 °C was selected as the optimum column temperature based on overall analytical performance and practical considerations. Method validation showed excellent linearity (correlation coefficient r ≥ 0.995; residual variance Vxo ≤ 5%), acceptable precision (%RSD ≤ 2%), and adequate sensitivity, expressed as limits of detection (LOD) and limits of quantification (LOQ). Accuracy evaluation using matrix-spiked samples yielded recoveries within the AOAC acceptance range (90–107%). Overall, the validated HPLC–PDA method at 40 °C with detection at 222 nm is robust and suitable for routine determination of H₂O₂ in hair cosmetic products under tropical conditions.
