Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop Atwood machine propswith sensor-based PIR (Passive Infrared) to determine the acceleration value of earth gravity. This type of research is an experiment conducted in the physics laboratory of Universitas Indraprasta PGRI. Atwood machine was developed by using PIR (Passive Infrared) sensors to detect the movement of the objects used. Based on the trialof the result of the data analysis experiment tool, the acceleration of gravity was obtained (9.87 ± 0.08) m/s2. Whereas the value of acceleration of gravity in the literature is 9,80665 m/s2. The obtained results shows that the acceleration of gravity obtained in this research is not much different from the acceleration value of gravity  found in the literature so that Atwood machine tool that is developed by using PIR sensor is recommended to be one alternative tool in determining the acceleration of earth gravity.

Abstract

Radioactive decay is one of the material to be learned students in the study of physics. However, until now students only learn concepts through existing teaching materials. This is because, the level of danger is very high if students have to deal with radioactive elements. So, it does not allow students to experiment with decay directly. Through an illustration board of radioactive decay, students can learn radioactive decay events by illustrating radioactive decay by capacitor filling and emptying methods. In addition, through this props, students can determine the value of the decay constant and the half-life of a radioactive substance. Based on the results of experiments using capacitors (C) of 4700 μF and resistors (R) of 56 kΩ, the percentage of theoretical experimental data deviation is 2.63% for decay constants, and 3.06% for half-life. This illustrates that there is no significant difference from the theoretical experimental data. So, it can be concluded that the illustration board of radioactive decay is suitable to be used as an illustration tool for radioactive decay events and determine the value of the characteristics of radioactive decay (decay constant and half-life).Keywords: Props, Radioactive Decay, Half-Life, Decay ConstantPeluruhan radioaktif merupakan salah satu materi yang harus dipelajari siswa dalam bidang studi fisika. Namun, sampai saat ini siswa hanya mempelajari konsep melalui bahan ajar yang ada. Hal tersebut dikarenakan, tingkat bahaya yang sangat tinggi jika siswa harus berhadapan dengan unsur radioaktif. Sehingga, tidak memungkinkan siswa melakukan percobaan peluruhan secara langsung. Melalui alat illustration board of radioactive decay, maka siswa dapat mempelajari peristiwa peluruhan radioaktif melalui pengilustrasian peluruhan radioaktif dengan metode pengisian dan pengosongan kapasitor. Selain itu, melalui alat peraga ini siswa dapat menentukan nilai konstanta peluruhan dan waktu paruh dari suatu zat radioaktif. Berdasarkan hasil percobaan dengan menggunakan kapasitor (C) sebesar 4700 μF dan resistor (R) sebesar 56 kΩ, diperoleh persentase penyimpangan data percobaan dengan teoritis sebesar 2,63% untuk konstanta peluruhan, dan 3,06% untuk waktu paruh. Hal tersebut menggambarkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dari data hasil percobaan dengan teoritis. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat illustration board of radioactive decay cocok untuk dijadikan alat ilustrasi peristiwa peluruhan radioaktif dan menentukan nilai karakteristik peluruhan radioaktif (konstanta peluruhan dan waktu paruh).Kata kunci: Alat Peraga, Peluruhan Radioaktif, Waktu Paruh, Konstanta Peluruhan

Abstract

Alternatif pembelajaran fisika terus dikembangkan agar mahasiswa dapat lebih mudah dan tertarik pada pembelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat simulasi besaran fisis dan grafik pada rangkaian RLC seri dengan memanfaatkan program GUI MATLAB. Tahapan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur, pembuatan desain aplikasi, penulisan kode program dan uji coba aplikasi. Dari hasil uji coba perhitungan didapatkan bahwa perhitungan menggunakan simulasi rangkaian RLC seri sudah benar dan sesuai dengan teori dan hitungan manual menggunakan persamaan-persamaan rangkaian RLC seri. Selain penghitungan hasil besaran fisisnya, simulasi ini juga memiliki pendefinisian sifat rangkaian dan visualisasi grafik yang dihasilkan. Dengan adanya simulasi ini diharapkan dapat lebih menggambarkan rangkaian RLC seri yang diuji dan menjadi salah satu alternatif media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Berdasarkan data dari Sistem Informasi Pengelolaan Sampah Nasional (SIPSN), sumber sampah terbesar berasal dari sampah rumah tangga yang merupakan masalah utama yang sering dihadapi masyarakat. Masalah-masalah ini meliputi kurangnya sistem pengelolaan sampah yang terorganisir, jumlah besar sampah plastik yang persisten, kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat tentang pembuangan sampah yang tepat, dan kesulitan dalam mengakses tempat pembuangan sampah yang sesuai. Banyak studi yang menemukan bahwa mayoritas orang masih tidak peduli terhadap pengelompokan sampah, dengan alasan bahwa hal tersebut terlalu rumit dan tidak tersedia tempat untuk mengelompokkan sampah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan cara mengelompokkan sampah organik dan non-organik, mulai dari mengenali sampah yang dapat didaur ulang atau yang tidak dapat didaur ulang, sehingga penduduk dapat menerapkannya di rumah. Sosialisasi dilakukan secara langsung kepada penduduk Perumahan Panorama Putra Mandiri, Bulak Timur, Cipayung, Depok, dalam 3 tahap: tahap persiapan, tahap implementasi, dan tahap evaluasi. Berdasarkan evaluasi dari pengamatan yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat telah berhasil, jika dibandingkan dengan kondisi sebelum dilakukannya kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan mengenai pengelompokkan sampah organik dan non-organik.

Abstract

Community service activities have been carried out for PKK mothers in RT.008 RW.04, Kebagusan, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, with the aim of utilizing vegetable waste and fruit peels into Eco Enzyme that can be used as multifunctional liquids, such as dishwashing soap and organic fertilizers. Activities include socialization and training on the importance of Eco Enzyme, how to make them, and their use. Organic waste that is often wasted has the potential to pollute the environment if it rots. In this training, participants are taught to process vegetable waste and become useful Eco Enzyme. The results of questionnaire respondents showed an increase in knowledge and skills from 68% to 93% as shown by participants who understood the material well and were enthusiastic about practicing it, because the materials are easy to obtain and the manufacturing process is simple.

Abstract

Performing experimental activities in a laboratory using the available equipment is not as straightforward as it may seem. In practice, conducting experiments can be challenging, and various factors can contribute to erroneous measurement results. One such factor is systematic errors, which occur due to inaccuracies in the measurement tools used. Additionally, error sources from external factors can also influence the measurement results. It is important to be aware of these potential errors and take appropriate measures to minimize their impact during experimental procedures. Tracker software is a valuable tool that can enhance the accuracy of experimental activities conducted in laboratories. This software assists in generating more precise data by tracking and analyzing various elements of the experiment. By utilizing tracker software, researchers can closely monitor the movement and behavior of objects, making it easier to measure and record data accurately. This technology plays a significant role in improving the reliability and efficiency of experimental procedures in the laboratory setting. From the study's objectives, it can be deduced that the restitution coefficient values obtained through manual data collection for the bekel ball are 𝑒 = 0.5136 ± 0.004214, and for the ping pong ball, it is 𝑒 = 0.4566 ± 0.01736. On the other hand, when using tracker software for data collection, the restitution coefficient value for the bekel ball is 𝑒 = 0.5397 ± 0.0008731, and for the ping pong ball, it is 𝑒 = 0.5115 ± 0.001154.
