Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran yang berbasis komputer dengan perangkat lunak PowerPoint yang diimplementasikan pada peserta didik kelas X program keahlian Teknik Surveying, dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan ketuntasan belajar Bahasa Inggris peserta didik pada materi Pronoun. Dari data pada siklus I menunjukkan : peserta didik memperoleh nilai kurang dari 75 sebanyak 15 peserta didik (40,54 %)dan rentang nilai lebih dari 75 sebanyak 22 peserta didik (59,46%). Daya serap peserta didik mencapai 75,5 %. Aktifitas peserta didik dari 37 orang terdapat 21 peserta didik (56,76%) termasuk sangat aktif dan aktif, dan 16 peserta didik (43,24 %) tergolong kategori kurang aktif dan tidak aktif. Pada siklus II dari 37 peserta didik diperoleh data nilai kurang dari 75 sebanyak 2 peserta didik (5,41 %) dan rentang nilai lebih dari 75 sebanyak 35 peserta didik (94,59 %). Daya serap peserta didik mencapai 81,49 %. Aktifitas peserta didik dari 37 orang terdapat 29 peserta didik (78,38 %) termasuk sangat aktif dan aktif , dan 8 peserta didik (21,62%) termasuk kategori cukup aktif dan kurang aktif. Data pemanfaatan media dalam proses pembelajaran diperoleh bahwa semua peserta didik sangat tertarik dengan penggunaan media power point. Hal ini dapat dilihat bahwa 100 % peserta didik menyatakan menyenangkan, 89,19 % menyatakan menerima pelajaran dengan mudah, 86,49 % peserta didik menjadi lebih aktif, peserta didik sangat termotivasi sebanyak 75,68 % dan 83,78 % peserta didik menyatakan paham, peserta didik yang menyatakan jenuh dalam menerima pelajaran tidak ada, tetapi yang menyatakan tidak merasa bosan sebanyak 33 peserta didik (89,19 %). Tingkat kesungguhan peserta didik dalam memperhatikan materi pelajaran yang disampaikan dengan media pembelajaran sangat besar yaitu 75,68 %, dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar peserta didik yang menyatakan nilainya menjadi lebih bagus sebanyak 29 peserta didik (78,38 %), meningkatkan semangat dalam belajar peserta didik menyatakan lebih giat belajar sebanyak 35 peserta didik (94,59 %). Dari data tersebut diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran dengan media perangkat lunak power point secara signifikan lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional yang selama ini dilakukan

Abstract

The objective of this research is to enlarge the teaching and learning tools which is basedon PowerPoint software of computer and will be applied to the X grade students of Surveying. Hopefully, by using this media the students can enlarge their learning in English especially in Pronoun. The data of first circle shows that the students who get score less than 75 % is 15 students (40,54 %). Students mastery learning is 75,5 %. Students who are active is 21 students and not active is 16. In the second circle there are 2 students who get score 75 (5,41 %). Students mastery learning is 81,49%. Students who are active is 29 students (78,38%) and 8 students who are not active (21,62%). The data of using media in teaching and learning process shows that all the students are very interesting with the media of PowerPoint software of computer. This is shows that 100 % of the students are exciting, 89,19 % students said that they are easy going to learn, 86,49 % os the students are more active, 75,68 % of the students are motivated to learn, 83,78 % of the students said that they are understand and 0% of students are boring and 89,19 % of students are happy tu study. The student’s motivation in learning material of Pronoun is great, it is about 75,68%. In same case, there are 29 students (78,38%) who said that their English score is betterr. there are 35 students (94,59%) said that they are more motivated in learning. Form those data above can be concluded that teaching and learning process by using PowerPoint software of computer is more significant than the conventional one.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh media sosial dan citra institusi terhadap minat calon mahasiswa dalam keputusan memilih kuliah pada Jurusan Perjalanan di Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar. Metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan teknik analisis SEM-PLS digunakan untuk mengumpulkan dan menganalisis data dari mahasiswa di Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial dan citra institusi berpengaruh positif terhadap minat dan keputusan memilih kuliah. Penggunaan efektif media sosial oleh Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar, termasuk promosi, interaksi, dan kemudahan mencari informasi, mendapat penilaian positif dari responden. Citra institusi juga dinilai sangat baik, menunjukkan persepsi positif terhadap kualitas dan eksistensi institusi. Analisis jalur (SEM-PLS) menunjukkan bahwa citra institusi memiliki pengaruh langsung yang signifikan terhadap keputusan memilih, dan juga memengaruhi keputusan memilih melalui mediator minat. Demikian pula, media sosial memengaruhi keputusan memilih baik secara langsung maupun melalui pengaruhnya terhadap minat. Kesimpulannya, penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya citra institusi dan aktivitas media sosial dalam membentuk minat dan keputusan mahasiswa untuk memilih kuliah. Rekomendasi untuk institusi mencakup upaya meningkatkan citra, memperkuat kehadiran media sosial, dan mengoptimalkan strategi pemasaran untuk menarik lebih banyak mahasiswa ke program studi perjalanan. This research aims to investigate the influence of social media and institutional image on prospective students' interest in the decision to choose to study in the Travel Department at the Makassar Tourism Polytechnic. Quantitative methods with a descriptive approach and SEM-PLS analysis techniques were used to collect and analyze data from students at the Makassar Tourism Polytechnic. The research results show that social media and institutional image have a positive influence on interest and decisions to choose college. The effective use of social media by the Makassar Tourism Polytechnic, including promotion, interaction and ease of finding information, received positive assessments from respondents. The image of the institution is also considered very good, showing a positive perception of the quality and existence of the institution. Path analysis (SEM-PLS) shows that institutional image has a significant direct influence on voting decisions, and also influences voting decisions through the mediator of interest. Likewise, social media influences voting decisions both directly and through its influence on interests. In conclusion, this research highlights the importance of institutional image and social media activity in shaping students' interest and decision to choose college. Recommendations for institutions include efforts to improve their image, strengthen their social media presence, and optimize marketing strategies to attract more students to travel studies programs.

Abstract

This study focuses on the influence of travel motivation on travel experiences at marine tourism destinations in South Sulawesi. In the context of tourism development, particularly marine tourism, understanding travel motivations is crucial for enhancing the quality of destinations and tourist or travel experiences. The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between tourists' travel motivations and their experiences at marine tourism destinations. This research employs a quantitative approach, with data collected through a questionnaire survey distributed to 220 respondents who have visited marine tourism destinations in South Sulawesi. The data analysis was conducted using a simple linear regression test to examine the relationship between travel motivation and travel experiences. The results of the study indicate that travel motivation has a positive and significant influence on travel experiences. Every increase in travel motivation contributes to an improvement in the unforgettable travel experience. The study also identifies several key motivational factors, including beach-based activities, natural beauty, and togetherness with family and friends. The conclusion of this study is that travel motivation is a crucial factor in shaping travel experiences at marine tourism destinations. The implications of this study emphasize the importance for destination managers to pay attention to and enhance tourists' travel motivational factors in order to create higher quality and more tourism experiences.

Abstract

This study examines the entrepreneurial intentions and readiness of students enrolled in the Culinary Arts Diploma Program at Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar. The research employed a qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews with 37 students from different cohorts (2022-2024) to explore their perspectives on starting culinary businesses, their perceived readiness, and the support they need. The findings reveal a strong entrepreneurial interest, with 78% of students eager to start businesses, especially restaurants or cafés. Additionally, 60% of students have prior culinary work experience, demonstrating a solid foundation for entrepreneurship. However, while 59.46% feel moderately prepared, 21.62% report feeling underprepared to face business challenges. The study identifies critical gaps, including the need for enhanced entrepreneurship training, greater access to financial resources, and increased industry exposure through internships. In conclusion, to fully support students' entrepreneurial aspirations, Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar must address these gaps, equipping students with the necessary skills to succeed in the competitive culinary industry.
