Abstract

The importance of this research is to provide a new development in the form of the development of the addition of L-shaped pipe accessories added to the pipe in each tank from previous studies, Implementation of previous research has not been maximized when used in the kitchen of Makassar Tourism Polytechnic so that modifications are made, because it is not there is a difference in waste from each tank, furthermore this research uses research and development research methods with the development of existing models by not build the new construction from scratch, while the development of this research is to add pipes in the form (L) or L-shaped pipe attached to the tank number one (1) as the first tank for waste that is disposed of often containing foam soap, fat and heavy sediments, then in the second tank (2) which already does not contain foam, grease, and heavy sediments, reattach the L pipe to reduce the content is what if it still exists, then add sand material, and gravel, as the dissolved material Chemical Oxygen Demands (COD) dissolved in the third tank (3) before being channeled into the public sewer. This research recommends that before disposal of liquid waste from processed food, it is better to do the separation of the sediment contained in the liquid waste and then to develop it further to get more perfect results, especially the criteria for Wastewater Clarity.

Abstract

The literature on branding of educational institutions is still under development, so far there has been no research showing university branding. Research that has quantitative variations that have branding with other variables in the context of business organizations. This study aims to explore the formation of branding in vocational higher education institutions in the tourism sector.  Data were taken using Focus Group Discussion and interviews from tourism stakeholders.  This study uses thematic analysis, namely open coding and axial coding.  The results show that there are main attributes in the formation of branding, namely identity, alumni, management aspects, quality of human resources and products and competitiveness.  With the formation of these branding attributes, this research contributes to the measurement of tourism vocational education branding

Abstract

Wakatobi regency has been chosen as a ten-top priority tourism destination in Indonesia. It provides the opportunity for the local community to obtain benefits through tourism. The aims of this research are 1) to study the expectation of the community related to the management of homestay as accommodation business; 2) to analyse challenges and provide recommendations concerning how to implement community-based tourism on the perspective of community as the organiser of the homestay. Qualitative research conducted in March 2018 by visiting Wakatobi for participant observation and interviews three community members or homestay managers, two tour guides and two people from the tourism industry (accommodation). The research indicates that tourism has encouraged the local community to manage homestay, although there are members of the community require motivation and support to understand the significances of managing homestay and tourism. The management of homestay by the local community links to the implementation of community-based tourism and to optimise the management of homestay; it is necessary to provide sustainable training for the local community as well as to empower people through local tourism organisation. Key attractors such as activities and alternative attractions for the visitors are essential for the management of homestay. Limited numbers of tourists who choose homestay to become the challenge for homestay management, thus, the local community expects that the increasing number of tourists as well as a willingness by tourists to choose homestay as their accommodation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada kemampuan literasi media mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran ilmu hadis khususnya di prodi Ilmu Perpustakaan UIN Alauddin Makassar. Menurut peneliti, hal ini penting untuk diteliti untuk mengetahui berapa tinggi kemampuan literasi informasi mahasiswa Ilmu Perpustakaan UIN Alauddin Makassar dalam upaya meningkatkan wawasan mereka terhadap ilmu hadis dan seberapa siap mereka dalam mengaplikasikan ilmu yang mereka peroleh di tengah masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner/angket dengan bantuan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa minat mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran ilmu hadis jika dirata-ratakan berada pada kisaran angka 65,25% yang berarti ada pada kategori tinggi. Angka tersebut masih belum sampai pada level sangat tinggi. Olehnya itu dibutuhkan motivasi, dan metode mengajar yang lebih efektif dan menyenangkan bagi mahasiswa agar minat mereka bisa bertambah. Sedangkan untuk tingkat kemampuan literasi media, secara rata-rata berada pada kisaran angka 78,76 % yang berarti ada pada kategori tinggi. Secara rata-rata, mereka telah mampu memanfaatkan media informasi sebagai suatu sumber belajar secara mandiri. Mereka telah menerapkan bagian dari model literasi informasi yakni identifikasi kebutuhan sebelum melakukan penelusuran. Mengenai literatur yang menjadi pilihan mereka dalam akses informasi cenderung lebih menyukai akses informasi yang instan yakni dari internet sedangkan minat terhadap buku cetak sangat rendah. Olehnya itu, dibutuhkan pemahaman yang baik bagi mereka dan edukasi tentang cara menelusuri infomasi yang valid melalui berbagai media informasi yang relevan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penunjang\pendorong kesuksesan pengelolaan Desa Wisata Nglanggeran; 2) untuk menguraikan langkah atau upaya praktis yang dilakukan oleh pengelola Desa Wisata Desa Wisata Nglanggeran dalam mewujudkan pariwisata berbasis masyarakat (community-based tourism). Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni tahun 2018 dengan tujuan mendapatkan gambaran mengenai aktivitas kepariwisataan yang terjadi di lokasi penelitian. Penulis memanfaatkan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam kepada pengurus atau pengelola Desa Wisata Nglanggeran serta observasi partisipatif sebagai wisatawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesuksesan pengelolaan Desa Wisata Nglanggeran adalah karena kemampuan generasi muda yang juga merupakan masyarakat asli yang mendiami desa tersebut untuk bekerja dan berinovasi membuat dan menciptakan paket wisata untuk wisatawan. Kesadaran kolektif masyarakatnya juga menjadi kunci kesuksesan tersebut. Peran Pokdarwis Nglanggeran dalam pemberian edukasi dan atau sosialisasi kepada masyarakat mampu mewujudkan pariwisata berbasis masyarakat.

Abstract

This research aims at 1) analyzing the tourism potential of Kampung Nelayan (Majene Regency) as tourism village; 2) recommending steps or mechanisms to implement Kampung Nelayan as tourism village. This paper employs a qualitative approach to answer research questions through research visit in July and September 2019. The authors collected research data through in-depth interviews and direct observation. The research reveals that Kampung Nelayan has the potential for tourism village based on community empowerment principles. Kampung Nelayan has potential of marine tourism and cultural tourism. The steps to implement Kampung Nelayan as tourism village including 1) identification of members of community under the categories of internal and external community groups; 2) involving the community members in tourism programs and 3) follow up of community collaboration by the internal and external groups of community.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the preparation of the lesson plans for English teachers at SMP Negeri 26 Makassar (2) to describe the constraints for English teachers at SMP Negeri 26 Makassar in preparing the lesson plans and their efforts, and (3) describe the suitability of the components of the lesson plans for English teachers in SMP Negeri 26 Makassar. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subject of this study was an English teacher at SMP 26 Makassar consisting of 3 English teachers. The object of this research is the learning implementation plan that has been made by the teacher. Data obtained through interviews and documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of the data analysis were then concluded according to the research problem.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 telah mengubah paradigma wisatawan dalam mencari pengalaman liburan yang aman dan nyaman. Salah satu alternatif populer yang muncul adalah staycation di hotel, di mana wisatawan dapat menikmati pengalaman berbeda di dalam kota tempat tinggal mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi implementasi staycation sebagai strategi inovasi produk pada industri perhotelan di Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat, dengan perspektif manajemen pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan melakukan wawancara terhadap manajer hotel dan pelanggan yang menggunakan layanan staycation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa staycation dianggap sebagai strategi inovatif yang efektif dalam menarik pelanggan dan meningkatkan pendapatan hotel. Namun, implementasi staycation juga memerlukan perubahan dalam manajemen hotel dan pengembangan keterampilan karyawan untuk menyediakan layanan staycation yang berkualitas. Oleh karena itu, manajemen pendidikan dapat membantu industri perhotelan dalam mengembangkan kemampuan karyawan untuk menghadapi perubahan era adaptasi kebiasaan baru, termasuk pengembangan layanan staycation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengkaji dampak motivasi kerja dan kedisiplinan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di organisasi Double Helix Indonesia. Penelitian ini melibatkan berbagai jenis karyawan, termasuk yang memiliki status tetap dan pekerja lepas, serta menganalisis tanggapan dari 50 responden yang dipilih dengan metode pengambilan sampel secara menyeluruh. Untuk mengukur kinerja karyawan, digunakan kuesioner, dan analisis statistik, termasuk uji validitas dan reliabilitas, dilakukan untuk memastikan bahwa alat ukur yang digunakan sah dan konsisten. Dengan menerapkan analisis regresi linear berganda dan uji hipotesis, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi kerja dan kedisiplinan kerja secara positif memengaruhi kinerja karyawan, baik secara individu maupun secara bersamaan. Abstract

The growth of culinary tourism has become a tourist attraction in many countries worldwide. Culinary is important in endorsing the uniqueness and authenticity of the country and nation. This paper investigates the role of language and visual images in fostering Indonesian cuisine on social media, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter in multimodal perspectives. This research adopted multimodal discourse analysis to manipulate the data gained. The study focuses on the language and visual elements employed in social media. The choice of words and stylistic strategies on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter become the concern of the analysis. The main visual analysis concerns are modality, participant and salience. The find shows that social media relies heavily on exaggerated language and images to foster culinary tourism in Indonesia. It thus contributes to our understanding of how multimodal discourse about Indonesian culinary tourism develops with changing Indonesian tourism.
