Abstract

Riffat Hasan is one of the Muslim feminists against the strong patriarchal culture in his environment. Riffat Hasan's idea of â??â??equality is a breath of fresh air for women who have been embraced by a growing patriarchal culture. As a Muslim feminist, Riffat hasan uses gender as an analysis to dismantle the construction of patriarchal culture wrapped with a religious message, especially the hadith of the prophet. The development of religious patriarchism is the result of interpretation of religious teachings that have the impression of gender bias (missoginis), gender bias interpretation model is one of the relations that shows the interaction of patriarchal culture with religion. The relationship forms a mutually supportive argument between religious teachings and patriarchal culture. So that both regions are understood as one-unit. But as a critical effort on the development of religious patriarchism, Riffat Hasan's idea of â??â??gender can be used as a medium for finding ideological constructs, and the use of epistemology in the understanding of religious teachings. Thus, patriarchal religious and cultural relations are no longer seen as a whole that must be thoroughly replicated.

Abstract

DEFINITION OF THE VERSES OF THE QUR’AN IN MUJAHADAH (THE STUDY OF THE LIVING QUR’AN IN PP Al-MUNAWWIR KRAPYAK Al-KANDIYAS COMPLEX). The Qur’an as a guideline of life for Muslims and became the authoritative source in the realm of social reality has developed its meaning. Relation to the development of meaning in al-Qur’an is the potential of the Qur’an itself that keeps studied and preserved in the realm of the theoretical and praxis. In the theoretical realm of the Qur’an continues to experience the reconstruction of understanding, reconstruction is related to the Qur’an itself, as is the case. About what enclosing the Qur’an when down and what is contained in the Qur’an itself. Both of them does not close the possibility to continue to be developed with different variants of the science to be an approach in digging the content of its science value, such as sociology, anthropology, historiy, and hermeneutic. On the other hand the study of praxis, in relation to the Qur’an is how the verses of the Qur’an are understood and practiced. This study assesses the reality of the society with the Qur’an. In that sense, the strive of mujahadah devotee community when interacting with verses of the Qur’an which become the practices and had a magical and mystical power. Because in practice a conviction verses are read when mujahadah contains a value that cannot be expressed. So the verses of the Qur’an become alive amongst the people, but it’s merely as a discourse and perception, it also confines the substantial meaning of a verse which contained in it when being interpretated or takwil.

Abstract

The concept of religious moderation has been widely promoted by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, but it has not fully reached pesantren, potentially leading to conflicts. This article aims to uncover the various meanings of moderation among the Santri and to examine the epistemological framework derived from the kitab kuning (classical Islamic texts). The exegesis-phenomenology method was used by asking the Santri for their views on religious moderation and confirming their behaviors to understand the sources and methods of their knowledge. The findings show that the meaning of religious moderation in pesantren is natural-adaptive, and its epistemology is characterized as Bayani-cognitive. This article contributes theoretically to understanding the various meanings of moderation in pesantren and practically to policy-making for the widespread dissemination of religious moderation in religious institutions.Gagasan moderasi beragama telah disebarkan secara luas oleh Kementerian Agama, namun belum sepenuhnya mencapai pesantren, ini berpotensi menimbulkan konflik. Artikel ini bertujuan mengungkap varian makna moderasi di kalangan santri dan meneliti bangunan epistemologi yang bersumber dari kitab kuning. Metode exegesis-fenomenologi digunakan dengan meminta pandangan santri tentang moderasi beragama dan mengkonfirmasi perilaku mereka untuk mengetahui sumber dan metode pengetahuan mereka. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa makna moderasi beragama di pesantren bersifat natural-adaptif dan epistemologinya bercorak bayani-kognitif. Artikel ini berkontribusi secara teoritis dalam memahami varian makna moderasi di pesantren dan secara praktis bagi kebijakan penyebaran moderasi beragama di lembaga keagamaan.
