Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of emotional intelligence and burnout on the Employee performance of Institut Agama Islam Syarifuddin (Syarifuddin Islamic Institute),  Wonorejo, Lumajang. The instrument used in this study is the Performance approach based on Sabine Sonnentag?s theory (2010); the applied scale-based emotional intelligence is one that developed by Daniel Goleman (2003) and the employed scale of burnout is a scale formulated by Maslach and Jackson (1982). The result indicates the existence of effect of emotional intelligence and burnout on the employees? performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Nilai-Nilai Agama dan Kecerdasan Moral terhadap Prestasi Belajar Afektif Siswa, dalam hal ini difokuskan pada Mata Pelajaran Aqidah Akhlak. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari Nilai-Nilai Agama yaitu dimensi: daily, meaning, practice, coping dan support. Kecerdasan moral yaitu dimensi: acting, telling, standing, keeping, taking, admitting, embracing, activelyone?s dan abilityothers?  terhadap prestasi belajar afektif siswa mata pelajaran aqidah akhlak. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa dengan klasifikasi usia 13-19 tahun dan sampelnya berjumlah 200 siswa yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling. Untuk mengukur nilai-Nilai agama , peneliti memodifikasi 11 dimesi nilai-Nilai agama  Fetzer (1999) menjadi 5 dimensi dan untuk kecerdasan moral peneliti menggunakan skala yang dikembangkan dari Lennick and Kiel (2011). CFA (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) digunakan untuk menguji validitas alat ukur dan analisis deskriptif dilakukan dengan menggunakan Software SPSS 17.0 dan LISREL 8.70. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan IV keseluruhan terhadap prestasi belajar sebagai DV. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan proporsi varians dari prestasi belajar Aqidah Akhlak yang dijelaskan oleh seluruh variabel independen adalah 60.3%, sedangkan 39.7%  sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian ini. Kata Kunci: Nilai-Nilai Agama, Kecerdasan Moral dan Prestasi Belajar Afektif

Abstract

Da'wah through radio has its own challenges in this increasingly advanced digital era. Hence, the special strategy and management are needed in maintaining the programs existence to carry out Islamic Da'wah as being performed by Islamic Dialogue on Gloria Paramita 97.4 FM Radio. This study uses a qualitative approach.  The conclusion illustrates that the communication strategy utilizes canalizing method and the form of content applies persuasive approaches and informative approaches.

Abstract

The tradition of Sandingan carried out from generation to generation by Pandalungan society is a combination of Javanese and Madurese Islamic culture which accomplishes symbolic message for the balance of macrocosm and microcosm which covers relation among human beings, humans and nature, and humans and the creators. This ritual is served by providing food and beverages on Monday, Thursday and Friday evenings started by burning incense and closed by reciting prayers aimed at the spirits of the ancestors.

Abstract

Tabheg is one type of food wrapped in banana leaves filled with rice with very simple side dishes such as salted fish, eggplant, chili sauce and crackers as a complement. Tabheg is a souvenir brought by the guardians of students when visiting their children in the boarding school. The tradition of bringing this tabheg is often found in Islamic boarding schools in the East Java, area Tapal Kuda. The tradition of eating tabheg for santri is a sign (representamen) with the values of togetherness and simplicity (interpretant) that can be conveyed through the form of food (object) that is shared by the students without distinguishing economic background and social stratification of the family. Phenomenon in the tradition of eating tabheg is believed to have a rich meaning of symbolic messages which are full of philosophical meanings so as to form patterns of human behavior. Exposure analysis of the tradition of eating tabheg is a qualitative study with a literature study approach, departing from the perspective of communication science using the concept of Charles Sanders Pierce with his trichotomies and psychological studies that form the basis of behavior formation. In addition it also aims to explore the constructive meaning of the pesantren tradition which is a reference to the santri mindset to shape behavior. The results of the analysis based on semiotic messages on the tabheg eating tradition for students based on representamen, interpretants and objects produce a constructive concept of santri personality characterized by traditional Islam. Where the santri character is built from the meaning implied in symbolic messages in the form of togetherness and simplicity that is internalized in the form of peace-loving behavior as a pesantren modality in realizing world peace.

Abstract

Abstract: cultural counseling plays an important role in multicultural societies such as Pandalungan who live in the Tapal Kuda area of East Java, which is a blend of Madurese and Javanese cultures with a strong influence of Islamic values. In this context, the kiai plays a role as a cultural broker who bridges religious values and local culture in helping the community face various social problems. This study aims to understand how kiai in Pandalungan carry out this role in culture-based counseling. Using a qualitative approach through a case study method, this study collected data through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with kiai and the community, and document analysis related to cultural counseling practices. The results of the study show that kiai use various strategies in counseling, such as communication based on local wisdom, a pesantren approach that emphasizes religious values, and mediation based on customs and social norms that apply in the community. The role of kiai in counseling not only functions as a provider of religious advice, but also as a mediator in resolving social conflicts and building harmony between individuals and groups in the Pandalungan community. These findings confirm that cultural counseling carried out by kiai contributes significantly to maintaining social stability and overcoming the challenges of community life. The implications of this research indicate the need to strengthen the role of kiai in culture-based counseling and the development of a more systematic counseling model so that it can be adapted in various local community contexts.Abstrak: konseling kultural memiliki peran penting dalam masyarakat multikultural seperti Pandalungan yang tinggal di daerah Tapal Kuda Jawa Timur, merupakan perpaduan budaya Madura dan Jawa dengan pengaruh kuat nilai-nilai Islam. Dalam konteks ini, kiai berperan sebagai cultural broker yang menjembatani nilai-nilai agama dan budaya lokal dalam membantu masyarakat menghadapi berbagai permasalahan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana kiai di Pandalungan menjalankan peran tersebut dalam konseling berbasis budaya. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui metode studi kasus, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan kiai dan masyarakat, serta analisis dokumen terkait praktik konseling kultural. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kiai menggunakan berbagai strategi dalam konseling, seperti komunikasi berbasis kearifan lokal, pendekatan pesantren yang menekankan nilai-nilai religius, serta mediasi berbasis adat dan norma sosial yang berlaku di komunitas. Peran kiai dalam konseling tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai pemberi nasihat keagamaan, tetapi juga sebagai mediator dalam menyelesaikan konflik sosial dan membangun harmoni antari ndividu maupun kelompok dalam masyarakat Pandalungan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa konseling kultural yang dilakukan oleh kiai berkontribusi signifikan dalam menjaga stabilitas sosial dan mengatasi tantangan kehidupan komunitas. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan perlunya penguatan peran kiai dalam konseling berbasis budaya serta pengembangan model konseling yang lebih sistematis agar dapat diadaptasi dalam berbagai konteks masyarakat lokal.

Abstract

This research examines the academic resilience of Alpha generation students who experience internet addiction, with a focus on the impact of digital technology on their psychological development in the Islamic boarding school environment. In addition, this study also seeks to understand the mechanism of students’ resilience in fighting the challenges of internet addiction, to support their personality development and achievement in the digital era. This study uses a qualitative case study approach to explore factors such as social support, coping skills, religiosity, and Islamic boarding school values ​​that offer solutions based on Islamic psychology to strengthen the mental resilience of students in the digital era. The conclusion of this study states that internet addiction among students has a significant impact on their ability to adapt to more discipline and limited access to technology in Islamic boarding school life. Dependence on the internet causes students to feel isolated, anxious, and frustrated which hinders their resilience in facing academic and social challenges in a new environment. However, Islamic Boarding Schools address this problem with character-building programs that emphasize discipline and responsibility and provide Islamic guidance and counselling services that help identify and overcome internet addiction, as well as alternative facilities such as sports. Arts are also offered to distract students from excessive internet use, support the development of interests and talents, and strengthen their academic resilience.Penelitian ini mengkaji resiliensi akademik santri generasi Alpha yang mengalami kecanduan internet, dengan fokus pada dampak teknologi digital terhadap perkembangan psikologis mereka di lingkungan pondok pesantren. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga berupaya memahami mekanisme resiliensi santri dalam menghadapi tantangan kecanduan internet, guna mendukung perkembangan kepribadian dan pencapaian prestasi mereka di era digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus untuk mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor seperti dukungan sosial, keterampilan coping, religiusitas dan nilai kepesantrenan yang menawarkan solusi berbasis psikologi islam untuk memperkuat ketahanan mental. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa kecanduan internet di kalangan santri, menunjukkan dampak signifikan terhadap kemampuan mereka untuk beradaptasi dengan kehidupan pesantren yang lebih disiplin dan terbatas akses teknologi. Ketergantungan pada internet menyebabkan santri merasa terisolasi, cemas dan frustrasi yang menghambat resiliensi mereka dalam menghadapi tantangan akademik dan sosial di lingkungan yang baru. Namun demikian, Pondok Pesantren mengatasi masalah ini dengan program pembinaan karakter yang menekankan disiplin dan tanggung jawab, serta menyediakan layanan bimbingan dan konseling islam yang membantu mengidentifikasi serta mengatasi kecanduan internet, juga fasilitas alternatif seperti olahraga dan seni juga diberikan untuk mengalihkan perhatian santri dari penggunaan internet berlebihan, mendukung pengembangan minat dan bakat, serta memperkuat resiliensi akademik mereka.
