Abstract

This research aims to elaborate the characteristics of the Qur?anic manuscript of Dolah Bakri (MADB) by using philology and historical analysis. In its chronicle history, it shows that MADB appeared in Wonolelo in the 19th century. The use of paper, the technique of writing, the layout and illumination show its character as a mushaf born with the nuances of Javanese locality. In addition, when his contemporaries used mixed rasm, ?Uthma}ni} and imla}?i}, MADB consistently used the rasm ?uthma}ni}. From the social context, in Wonolelo, MADB was not merely as a Qur?anic mushaf which is used as a medium of reading for local Muslim community, but it had social and economic function as well. MADB could be a symbol of an economic power of its owner. MADB could also be a symbol of the integration of Islamic movement and social class identity of economic society.

Abstract

This article examines the interpretation of M. 'Ābid al-Jābirī toward the concept of muḥkam-mutasyābih in Surah Āli'Imrān/3: 7. The topic is considered important because it has theoretical implications to various problems. The reason for the selection of al-Jābirī is due to its consistency in the use of a set of methodologies, namely historical criticism and structural analysis. Āyat for al-Jābirī means sign. Āyat muḥkamah is a sign, an indicator, or reality of kauniyyah (universe reality) which shows that God is a God who is the Supreme One, while ayat mutasyābihah is a sign that God wants to set something out of the ordinary for His prophets and apostles as proof of their prophethood. Therefore, the term ar-rāsikhūn is a deep intellectual in science and knowledge, and they can know hermeneutical interpretation (at-ta’wīl wa at-tafsīr) of the mutasyābih verse (legally unclear verses) . Thus there is no verse of muḥkam and verse mutasyābih in the sense that has been used, the verse which is legally clear and legally unclear. All verses of the Qur'an are very clear and can be understood by the community as the target of Islamic preaching at the time. Keywords Al-Jābirī, muḥkam, mutasyābih.

Abstract

The material object of this article is the magical reception of the Qur'an described in the Wedha Mantra by Sang Indrajati. The academic problem proposed is the distance between the Qur'an as an Arabic holy book and the Indonesian people who are far from the Arab country and are not Arabic speakers. This distancing gives rise to the phenomenon of magical reception. As a brief reading, the method used is a textological study by tracing its discursive tradition through hadith literature. The findings in this article are threefold. First, in the hadith literature, the issue of the privileges of the Qur'an still pays attention to the harmony and content of the text. Second, when the Qur'an penetrates the world far from the area of decline, the potential for perception beyond its textual function becomes very significant. The user's attention is precisely on the harmony of the sound aspect and the desired desire. Third, magical worship of the Qur'an is carried out in the interest of fulfilling the psycho-biological needs of the worshipper.

Abstract

The topic discussed in this article is the intricacies associated with the common link theory. This theory was first introduced by Joseph Schacht and further developed by G.H.A. Juynboll. It was in the hands of Juynboll that this theory showed its strength. This theory has the dictum that argumentum e silentio; and the more perfect the isnād, the later the tradition, so that the more transmission lines meet, either leading to or leaving it, the greater the transmitter and transmission has a historical claim. For them, the theory can be used to trace the time of appearance, author, as well as transmitter of the hadith that is the object of their research. This transmitter is called the common link. The logical consequence is that many of the Prophetic traditions cannot be historically accounted for.

Abstract

This article focuses on function of simaan al-Qur’an for santri-mahasiswa of Pondok Pesantren Sunan Pandanaran (PPSPA), Sleman, Yogyakarta. This study uses Bronislaw Malinowski’s functionalism theory. Method of this study is observation-participation, interview, and literal documentary. The conclusion of this study that simaan al-Qur’an, for santri-mahasiswa of PPSPA, is not only has the function of religion. Furthermore, simaan al-Qur’an for santri-mahasiswa of PPSPA is a cultural system that has very complex element. The complexities of these elements are in line with their various functions; social, cultural, economical,political power, promotional, and educational. These interconnections and inter-functions can not be separated and tied to one another. Therefore, the activity of simaan al-Qur’an, as a cultural system, has a function to meet the psycho-biological needs of santri-mahasiswa in living their lives.

Abstract

This study focuses on Koreksi Tarjamah Harfiyah al-Qur’an Kemenag RI (QTK) by Muhammad Thalib, Amir (Leader) Majelis Mujahidin. Significance of this focus is due only Thalib who is bold and sincere against the authority of Al-Qur’an dan Terjemahnya by The Ministry of Religious Affairs of the RI. This study uses social identity theory and critical discourse analysis. The conclusion of this study says that Thalib’s interpretation or translation, Koreksi QTK and QTT, represent the social identity of Thalib and MM, as his context. Koreksi QTK (and QTT) is not merely a normative religious ritual; it is also the result of Thalib's dialectic in MM context with the socio-political context of Indonesia. Koreksi QTK (and QTT) is a self-affirming social media of Thalib and MM that attempt to illustrate illusively with a more peaceful, harmonious, anti-extremist-jihadist face. Both of these books are also a tool of the ideological campaign and political orientation of MM. The effort of delegitimizing QTK and the inauguration of QTT authority became a vital medium in the effort to sow the ideology and political orientation of MM in Nusantara context.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman anak usia dini di Taman Kanak-Kanak Islam Terpadu Insan Kamil Purwakarta mengenai tata cara wudhu dan salat melalui penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan melibatkan 15 siswa. Setiap siklus meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi, di mana siswa terlibat dalam kegiatan praktis yang relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa, dengan persentase keberhasilan naik dari 70% pada siklus pertama menjadi 85% pada siklus kedua. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kontekstual efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami tata cara wudhu dan salat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan metode serupa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) pada tingkat usia dini untuk mendukung pemahaman praktik ibadah secara mendalam. This study aims to improve young children's understanding of ablution (wudhu) and prayer practices at TK IT Insan Kamil Purwakarta through the application of contextual learning. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles involving 15 students. Each cycle included stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection, where students engaged in practical activities relevant to daily life. Evaluation results showed an increase in students’ understanding, with success rates rising from 70% in the first cycle to 85% in the second. These findings indicate that contextual learning effectively enhances students’ comprehension of ablution and prayer practices. The study recommends the broader application of this method in early childhood Islamic education to foster a deeper understanding of religious practices.

Abstract

This study is conducted based on these following three things: (1) the learning process in schools overly prioritizes cognitive aspects that lead to convergent thinking patterns and processes, while the process of creative thinking, affective, and psychomotor aspects receive less attention; (2) the increasing advances in technology and the growing population alongside limited natural resources demand creative adaptability and the expertise to find solutions creatively; (3) the finding of less creative individuals in Indonesia, which causes high unemployment rates as people heavily rely on existing jobs without the ability to create their own. This study uses a qualitative approach with Madrasah Aliyah Ma’arif Ambulu Jember as the research area. The informants include the principal, teachers, staff, and students. Data collection methods involve observation, interviews, and documentation. Systematic data analysis begins with data reduction, verification or data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity is ensured through source triangulation. Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan tiga hal berikut: (1) proses pembelajaran di sekolah terlalu mengutamakan aspek kognitif yang mengarah pada pola dan proses berpikir konvergen, sementara proses berpikir kreatif, aspek afektif, dan psikomotorik kurang mendapat perhatian; (2) kemajuan teknologi yang semakin pesat serta peningkatan jumlah penduduk dan keterbatasan sumber daya alam sangat menuntut kemampuan adaptasi kreatif dan keahlian dalam menemukan solusi secara kreatif; (3) temuan tentang kurangnya kreativitas orang Indonesia yang menyebabkan banyak pengangguran yang sangat bergantung pada lapangan kerja yang ada, sementara mereka tidak mampu menciptakan lapangan kerja sendiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan Madrasah Aliyah Ma’arif Ambulu Jember sebagai lokasi penelitian. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru, staf, dan siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara sistematis, dimulai dari reduksi data, verifikasi atau penyajian data, hingga penarikan kesimpulan. Validitas data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber data.
