Abstract

The low content of colloid material such as clay and organic matter in sandy soil (volcanic ash Regosol) cause the soil less supportive in water and nutrient. Mount Merapi eruption in September 2010 is a natural process. The problem is the amount of ashfall which is different on each place. The legume is suggested to give a better effect on soil fertility due to enrichment of N content in the soil after the eruption.The experiment was conducted in a green house of Soil Departement, Agriculture Faculty of Gadjah Mada University from February to May 2011. The experiment was carried out using two blocks of two factorial arranged in completely random design. Each combination was replicated three times.The results showed that ashfall, chicken manure and cow manure increase slow drainage pore and N uptake. This treatment decrease total porosity, non usefull pores, water holding pores and quick drainage pores. Chicken manure and cow manure tend to generate rate of plant height at first to fifth week of growth. The rate of application of 30 tons/ha chicken manure and 10 tons/ha cow manure resulted in the highest growth compared to other treatments. The treatment of chicken manure tend to increase seed weight and 13.39 tons/ha cow manure tend to produce optimal seed weight. The optimum production of peanut is achieved by addition 10 tons/ha ashfall and 20 tons/ha cow manure. This mixture may be used as a recommendation to produce the optimal fertility condition for the volcanic ash Regosol.Key words: ashfall regosol, ashfall, chicken manure, cow manure, peanut.

Abstract

Menjelang pelaksanaan pemilihan umum (Pemilu) tahun 2024, dinamika politik sangat kuat tidak hanya terkait dengan kontestasi peserta pemilu, tetapi juga pengisian jabatan komisioner-komisioner Badan Pengawas Pemilu (BAWASLU). Fenomena ini menarik untuk menelaah apakah pengisian jabatan politik komisioner-komisioner turut mendorong masyarakat yang berafiliasi kuat atau merasa dekat dengan partai politik untuk turut berpartisipasi sebagai pengawas pemilu. Untuk menjawab hal tersebut, tulisan singkat ini hendak menjawab pertanyaan sejauh mana kedekatan pada partai politik akan mendorong seseorang untuk menjadi pengawas pemilu? Untuk menjawab pertanyaan tersebut, tulisan ini menggunakan data survei Kolasse di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (D.I.Y) pada bulan November 2022. Temuan menunjukkan hal yang menarik, ketika seseorang memiliki kedekatan dengan partai politik, hal tersebut mendorong seseorang untuk terlibat menjadi pengawas pemilu. Studi kasus di D.I.Y menjadi penting, mengingat provinsi ini memiliki tingkat Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) yang tinggi. Hal ini penting mengingat IPM tinggi seharusnya menunjukkan bahwa kelas sosial dalam masyarakat tersebut lebih baik dibandingkan daerah lain. Tulisan singkat ini diharapkan dapat memberikan penjelasan apa faktor apa yang mendorong keterlibatan seseorang sebagai pengawas pemilu. Tentu hasil dalam tulisan ini memiliki kekurangan, terutama terkait dengan faktor-faktor lain yang barangkali belum masuk dalam uji regresi. Pada aspek yang lebih praktis, diharapkan tulisan ini dapat menginspirasi kajian-kajian sejenis di masa mendatang.

Abstract

The target of the solid soap workshop community empowerment is the Fatayat NU in Bogor City. The needs of the actors of change (members of Fatayat NU Bogor City) in the form of normative needs can be met by the target community (Fatayat NU Bogor City) with the efforts of the target community to seek various services for their members through solid soap workshops is active involvement in fulfilling basic needs household. The solid soap workshop is tailored to the needs of the community who use soap for their daily needs. Solid soap workshops use materials and tools that are cheap and easy to find in households, namely: cooking oil, caustic soda, fragrance, scales and soap molds. Workshop participants were representatives of 6 PAC Fatayat NU Bogor City. The workshop was held at the Integrated Laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science (FTIK) Nahdlatul Ulama University of Indonesia (Unusia). The resource persons came from lecturers from the Unusia Agro-Industry Technology Study Program assisted by 2 students. The method used in carrying out the service was counseling and practice on how to make solid soap. The workshop participants will receive a module on how to make soap, training on making soap and soap made by each participant. After the workshop is finished, an evaluation will be carried out by distributing questionnaires to the workshop participants to find out how far the effectiveness of the workshop is and the level of satisfaction of the participants in the soap making workshop. evaluation through a questionnaire obtained the following results: (1) 92.3% of participants could easily accept and understand the solid soap workshop material; (2) 76.9% of participants stated that the resource person mastered the workshop material well; and (3) 69.2% of participants stated that the training material n delivered in order and clearly systematically. From the questionnaire it was also known that the workshop participants hoped that there would be other empowerment workshops that would support the economic independence of the participants. In general, the hope of this empowerment is to fulfill basic household needs that can be fulfilled on their own in a sustainable manner so as to foster economic independence and improve people's welfare.

Abstract

Coffee grounds, a residual product stemming from the processing of coffee beverages, manifest as a compelling resource for economic exploitation in the manufacturing realm, particularly in the creation of diverse processed commodities such as body scrubs. The utilization of coffee grounds as the principal ingredient for body scrub fabrication epitomizes a proactive strategy aimed at ameliorating the surplus waste generated during coffee processing endeavors. Consequently, undertaking a meticulous financial evaluation of the coffee grounds scrub manufacturing enterprise emerges as an indispensable step towards facilitating business expansion. This comprehensive study meticulously examines the financial viability associated with establishing a specialized venture dedicated to the production of body scrub derived from coffee waste. Employing a multifaceted approach, the investigation harnesses both primary and secondary data sources in conjunction with sophisticated quantitative analysis techniques. The research methodology incorporates a series of empirical experiments conducted within the production framework, utilizing coffee grounds procured from the esteemed Laiyo Coffee Roaster. Through rigorous financial computations, the analysis unveils a favorable Net Present Value amounting to IDR184,709,323, coupled with an impressive internal rate of return standing at 45%. Furthermore, the assessment delineates a succinct payback period of 1.6 years, alongside a commendable benefit-cost ratio of 1.7, contingent upon the realization of predefined assumptions. The adherence to these stringent investment benchmarks unequivocally underscores the practical feasibility of embarking upon coffee grounds scrub production endeavors, provided the project attains anticipated revenue milestones, encompassing IDR491,666,667. Additionally, the venture anticipates post-tax profits totaling IDR195,607,667, correlating with a substantial profit margin of 39.78%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh interaksi antara pemberian limbah cair tahu dan pupuk organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produktivitas tanaman pakcoy. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) secara faktorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi limbah cair tahu (K) yang terdiri dari tiga perlakuan: K1 (25%), K2 (50%), dan K3 (75%). Faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk organik cair (D) dengan empat perlakuan: D0 (tanpa perlakuan), D1 (150 g/l), D2 (300 g/l), dan D3 (450 g/l). Masing-masing perlakuan diulang tiga kali. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji F untuk mengetahui interaksi antar faktor dan uji BNJ 5% untuk membandingkan perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya interaksi nyata antara konsentrasi limbah cair tahu dan dosis pupuk organik terhadap berat basah tanaman pakcoy. Konsentrasi limbah cair tahu 75% (K3) menghasilkan berat basah tertinggi, yaitu 45,06 gram. Namun, pada umur 7 hari setelah tanam (HST), konsentrasi 25% (K1) cenderung memberikan hasil lebih baik dibandingkan 50% dan 75%. Hal ini diduga terkait kandungan nitrogen dalam limbah cair tahu yang memenuhi kebutuhan dasar pertumbuhan tanaman, meskipun belum optimal. Penggunaan pupuk organik dengan dosis tinggi (450 g/l) menunjukkan kecenderungan peningkatan berat basah tanaman, meskipun perbedaannya tidak signifikan secara statistik. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi limbah cair tahu 50% (K2) dan pupuk organik 450 g/l (D3) memberikan hasil optimal dengan berat basah 438,35 gram. Disarankan untuk mengaplikasikan kombinasi ini pada tanaman pakcoy dengan umur panen 28 hari atau lebih untuk mengoptimalkan produktivitas. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengevaluasi efek jangka panjang dari pemberian limbah cair tahu dan pupuk organik terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of adding organic fertilizer to the ex-eruption of Mount Merapi by using an indicator plant of peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) Gajah variety in order to land rehabilitation. The treatment used was the addition of volcanic ash and organic fertilizer. The organic fertilizer used comes from chicken manure. The selection of chicken manure as organic fertilizer uses the principle of sustainability, where in the research area there are many chicken farmers so that the presence of chicken manure is easy and cheap to obtain. The design of this study was based on 1 block completely randomized 2 factorial design which was repeated 3 times. With the addition of volcanic ash and chicken manure, 10 tons/ha, 20 tons/ha and 30 tons/ha, respectively. Plant parameters observed were: (1) plant height, (2) fresh weight and dry weight of roots, (3) Shoots' fresh and dry weight, (4) fresh weight and dry weight of pods, (5) Seeds' fresh weight and dry weight, (6) number of seeds and pods/plant, and (7) N uptake and root nodule number. The findings indicated that chicken manure increased plant height from 1 to 5 weeks after planting. The application of 30 tons/ha of chicken manure has raised the height of plants. The addition of chicken manure tends to enhance the peanut seeds' dry weight.

Abstract

This study develops and evaluates an IoT-based smart fertigation system for citrus plants using a fuzzy logic control (FLC) algorithm integrated with an ESP32 microcontroller and wireless sensors. The research aims to address the limitations of conventional fertigation practices that rely on fixed schedules without considering real-time soil and climate conditions, which often result in water inefficiency and nutrient imbalance. The developed system integrates sensors for soil moisture, temperature, and air humidity to automatically regulate irrigation duration through triangular membership functions and a fuzzy inference model consisting of 64 fuzzy rule combinations. Over a 30-day observation period, twelve citrus seedlings aged 3-4 months after grafting were organized into four experimental groups: manual fertigation (MF), manual irrigation (MI), smart fertigation (SF), and smart irrigation (SI). Experimental findings indicated that the smart fertigation system-maintained soil moisture within a more stable range of 40-55%, and plants in the SF group experienced approximately 7 cm greater height and a twofold increase in leaf count compared to manually irrigated ones. The smart fertigation treatment also produced more uniform, greener, and healthier foliage, signifying balanced nutrient uptake. Overall, the IoT–FLC integration provides a more adaptive and eco-efficient irrigation model that promotes sustainable management of water and nutrients in tropical citrus cultivation.

Abstract

Bakti kami pejuang muda kementerian sosial di kabupaten lamongan merupakan salah satu program dari peserta pejuang muda kabupaten lamongan dari kementerian sosial, dan mahasiswa akan dituntut untuk mengaplikasikan ilmu dan pengetajuannya dapat memberikan dampak sosial secara konkret melalui program setara 20 SKS ini, mahasiswa akan ditantang untuk belajar dari warga sekaligus berkolaborasi dengan pemerintah daerah, pemuka masyarakat, tokoh agama setempat serta seluruh stakeholder penggerak sosial di daerah. Program pejuang muda adalah kesempatan emas bagi mahasiswa untuk membuat perubahan nyata di masyarakat kementerian sosial diperkuat brand ambassador untuk mempromosikan program ini melalui cerita mengenai program pejuang muda di media sosial mereka, program pejuang muda berpegang pada nilai yang relevan untuk perkembangan mahasiswa dan perubahan sosial di masyarakat.

Abstract

Program Pejuang muda adalah laboratorium sosial bagi para mahasiswa mengaplikasikan ilmu dan pengetahuannya untuk memberi dampak sosial secara nyata. Dimana mahasiswa nantinya akan ditantang untuk belajar dari masyarakat sekaligus berkolaborasi dengan Pemerintah Daerah, pemuka masyarakat, tokoh agam setempat, serta seluruh stakeholder penggerak sosial. Selanjutnya mahasiswa akan terjun langsung ke wilayah Indonesia yang memiliki kategori daerah pasca-bencana, daerah kantong kemiskinan, komunitas adat terpencil, dan kelompok masyarakat umum. Implementasi Program Kampus Merdeka-Merdeka Belajar melalui Kegiatan Pejuang Muda yang akan membahas materi teknis dan nonteknis terkait usaha pengentasan kemiskinan dan penyelesaian masalah sosial khususnya pengembangan program bantuan sosial, pemberdayaan fakir miskin dan lanjut usia, pola hidup sehat dan kesehatan lingkungan, fasilitas untuk kepentingan umum, dan social entrepreneurship (pahlawan ekonomi) di Indonesia.Selain itu, dengan adanya program pejuang muda ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan teknis dan non-teknis mahasiswa di bidang komunikasi, kerja kelompok, pengembangan diri, social campaign, dan digital marketing pada masyarakat pasca-bencana, masyakat di kantong kemiskinan, komunitas adat terpencil, dan kelompok masyarakat umum.
