Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi karena masih ada guru Pkn yang belum melaksanakan keterampilan mengelola kelas dengan baik, padahal keterampilan mengelola kelas sangatlah penting, agar pembelajaran di kelas terselenggara secara kondusif.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan keterampilan dasar mengajar guru PKN di SMPN 1 IV Koto, dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keterampilan dasar mengajar guru. Halis penelitian menunjukan pelaksanaan keterampilan mengelola kelas oleh guru PKn belum maksimal, karena belum semua indikator  keterampilan mengelola kelas dilaksanakan oleh guru secara utuh. hal ini disebabkan karena keterampilan mengelola kelas guru masih belum berkembang sebagaimana mestinya, karena kurangnya pelatihan tentang keterampilan mengajar yang diperoleh oleh guru PKn.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the problems found by elementary school teachers during the implementation of guidance and counseling services in elementary schools. This study aims to look at guidance and counseling services in elementary schools and describe the problems experienced by teachers in their implementation and the solutions that can be given to solve these problems. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The researcher determined SDN 13 Parit Putus as the research location and the teacher as the research subject. Researchers collected research data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of teachers at SDN 13 Parit Putus. The results of the study show that the problems of guidance and counseling services in elementary schools are the absence of guidance and counseling teachers, the absence of training on guidance and counseling services, teachers do not have an understanding of designing administration, and inadequate guidance and counseling service facilities at SDN 13 Parit Putus. The solutions provided by researchers are to procure counseling teachers in elementary schools, provide training through gifted counselors, complete the administration of counseling services, and facilitate the needs of guidance and counseling.

Abstract

This study addresses the challenges faced by social studies educators in crafting materials at Junior High School Number 1 IV Koto, Agam Regency. Crafting effective teaching materials is vital for facilitating learning processes. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, gathering data through observations, interviews, and document analysis. Findings reveal several hurdles encountered by teachers in this context, such as difficulties in generating and implementing innovative teaching ideas, struggles with technology integration, and disparities in educational backgrounds among social science teachers. To tackle these issues, Junior High School Number 1 IV Koto has implemented various strategies, including promoting extensive reading and referencing of educational materials to broaden teachers' perspectives, providing technological training sessions, fostering collaborative initiatives among social studies teachers, and enhancing facilities and infrastructure for instructional material development. However, the study acknowledges that it does not delve into local wisdom, which could be explored by future researchers.

Abstract

The government's policy regarding the new curriculum, namely the independent curriculum, especially at the junior high school level, aims to perfect the previous curriculum so that it can be adapted to the demands and developments of the times. In addition, curriculum changes also aim to be able to respond to future challenges in terms of mastering knowledge, attitudes, and skills to be able to adapt or adjust to an ever-changing environment. However, the presence of a new curriculum is certainly a challenge for teachers in schools in implementing it, especially social studies teachers in junior high schools who are faced with various obstacles in implementing the independent curriculum. This study aims to look at the obstacles faced by social studies teachers in implementing the independent curriculum at the junior high school level. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Qualitative research aims to understand the phenomena experienced by research subjects. Data collection techniques use three types, namely: observation, interviews and documentation studies. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum carried out by IPS subject teachers at SMPN 1 IV Koto is colored by several obstacles, including: 1. The social studies subject teachers still lack understanding of the Independent Curriculum and the difficulty of changing their mindset from K13 to an independent curriculum. 2. Lack of training and outreach about the Independent Curriculum given to social studies subject teachers. 3. Literacy problems and the difficulty of digital access. 4. Competence of social studies subject teachers in implementing the Independent Curriculum is still lacking. 5. Learning facilities and infrastructure are inadequate.

Abstract

Scientific publication is one of the activities in primary school teachers' sustainable professional development efforts. In addition, this scientific publication activity is also useful as material for teacher promotion professional improvement, and teacher performance. This study aims to collect information, describe, and analyze scientific publication activities to develop sustainable professionalism as well as inhibiting factors and solutions that can be provided in overcoming the problems of teachers' scientific publication skills. The research data collection used Google Forms distributed to several teachers who are civil servants about writing scientific papers for teacher promotion and was also supported by direct interviews with several teachers. The research data were analyzed descriptively in the form of activities to analyze, describe, and summarize the phenomena discussed. Some of the problems found in the scientific publication of teachers are limited time due to too many activities, lack of ideas and motivation to write, lack of understanding of teachers in writing and publishing scientific papers, and lack of references or related reading materials.

Abstract

The background of writing this article is to see the problem of education in Indonesia that has not been able to fully produce quality human beings, this is due to the quality of education in Indonesia that has not been maximized. For this reason, it is necessary to improve the quality of education in Indonesia by improving the responsive education system to answer the changes and demands of the times, therefore we need to learn from one of the countries that has the best education system in the world, namely Finland. The advancement of the education system in Finland can certainly be used as an example of the implementation of education in Indonesia. The purpose of writing this article is to see the advanced education system in Finland. The method used in compiling this article is a literature study, A literature study is a variety of sources, ranging from books, articles, and various references related to the advancement of the education system in Finland. The results showed that the advanced education system in Finland can be seen from several aspects of the implementation of education in the country, including teachers, learning environment, evaluation, and school curriculum.
