Abstract

Kurangnya kesantunan bahasa pada anak dapat merugikan hubungan sosial dan kemampuan komunikasi mereka. Anak yang kurang santun dalam berbicara mungkin terlihat kasar dan tidak sopan, yang dapat membuat orang lain merasa tidak nyaman atau tersinggung. Selain itu, anak-anak yang tidak diajarkan kesantunan bahasa mungkin akan mengalami kesulitan dalam berinteraksi dengan orang lain dan membangun hubungan yang positif, baik di sekolah maupun di luar. Mereka juga mungkin kesulitan dalam menyampaikan pikiran mereka secara efektif, yang dapat memengaruhi kemampuan mereka untuk beradaptasi dengan situasi sosial yang berbeda. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi anak-anak untuk belajar dan menguasai kesantunan bahasa agar mereka dapat membina hubungan yang harmonis dan mengkomunikasikan diri dengan baik dalam berbagai konteks.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan siswa kelas IV salah satu sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Karawang dalam menulis karangan eksposisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan model think-talk-write dalam keterampilan menulis karangan eksposisi. Untuk mencapai tujuan ini, penelitian mengadopsi pendekatan eksperimen semu, menggunakan non-equivalent control group design, memungkinkan peneliti untuk membandingkan kemajuan antara siswa yang mengikuti model TTW dengan mereka yang tidak. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan menulis karangan eksposisi siswa yang berada di kelas eksperimen, mengindikasikan bahwa model think-talk-write efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan eksposisi di kalangan siswa. Temuan ini memberikan bukti kuat bahwa pendekatan think-talk-write dapat dijadikan strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan eksposisi, menawarkan wawasan penting bagi praktik pendidikan, khususnya dalam pengajaran menulis di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

School cleaning activities are generally something that no one wants. Most Indonesian people still assume that environmental hygiene is the work of janitors and helpers, not the collective responsibility of individuals. Not surprisingly, most schools in Indonesia have poor hygiene and health quality. This paper collects in- depth and comprehensive information from principals, teachers, and students at a private elementary school in the city of Purwakarta, West Java, regarding hygiene management in their schools. Unlike other schools, although it has two spacious and magnificent four-story buildings, this school does not have a single janitor. School cleanliness is truly a shared responsibility. In each day, dozens of teachers and hundreds of students clean up all parts of the school collectively in 15-20 minutes full of enthusiasm and awareness that cleanliness is a responsibility and part of their faith to Allah.

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to increase awareness of the people of Karangsinom Village, Karawang, about the urgency and benefits of preserving traditional games rooted in local culture. The activity was carried out in February 2025 involving 30 participants consisting of PKK mothers, elementary school teachers, and students. The implementation method includes workshops and traditional game practices. The Beam and Dagongan Races are the media for practice to integrate the three intelligences through traditional game sports. The evaluation results showed an increase in participants' understanding of the educational value of traditional games, as well as enthusiasm in implementing them in social and school environments. This activity proves that traditional games not only preserve culture, but are also effective as a holistic solution for developing thinking, language, and sports intelligence. Follow-up recommendations include ongoing training and integration of traditional games in the national curriculum. Keywords: Multiple intelligence, Traditional Games, Local Wisdom.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between smartphone use and speech delay in children. Over the past decade, the penetration of smartphones has increased significantly, resulting in early and intensive screen exposure among children. This study employs a quantitative method with structured surveys and direct observation of 10 children aged 4-5 years from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Data was collected regarding the daily duration of smartphone use, the type of content accessed, and parent-child interactions while using the device. Preliminary results indicate a significant negative correlation between the duration of smartphone use and the development of speech abilities. Children who spend more time with smartphones tend to show delays in reaching language development milestones compared to those with less exposure. Furthermore, this study identifies that the quality of parent-child interaction during smartphone use, such as joint discussions and verbal interactions, can mitigate and minimize the negative impact of smartphone usage. This research provides vital insights into the impact of digital technology on child development and offers recommendations for parents and early childhood education practitioners.
