Abstract

The teacher is an element that plays an important role in improving the quality of education in Indonesia. It is inevitable that there are various problems in learning that need to be solved by a teacher, one of them with research. Classroom Action Research is an attempt to correct any shortcomings and deficiencies in learning. Followed by writing a Classroom Action Research Report, carried out as an attempt to think and prove to improve the professionalism of teachers and is no less important as an added value in increasing credit. The aim of this study is to describe: teacher skills in writing Classroom Action Research reports and obstacles for teachers in writing scientific articles. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive design. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the skills to write research reports in the classroom were still low and very rarely performed. The obstacles that the teacher encountered were the lack of understanding of scientific articles, little systematic writing knowledge, limited liability, problems with the use of computers and time. But of all that, the cause of the obstacles that the teacher encounters is motivation.

Abstract

The government's high attention to literacy and numeracy has been positively responded to with the implementation of the Minimum Competency Assessment program that measures these abilities. It is hoped that this AKM will serve as a foundation for producing individuals who can compete globally in the 21st century. The AKM not only encompasses conceptual understanding but also assesses other mathematical abilities. This research aims to determine the profile of mathematical understanding abilities of fourth-grade students in Cluster 2 of Pabuaran District, Subang. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive analysis, with the research instrument employing test questions that represent all indicators of mathematical understanding. Based on the data analysis results, it can be concluded that students' understanding of mathematical concepts, in general, is still low. On the indicator of restating concepts, all students only reached the sufficient category with scores below 69.99. For the category of classifying objects, students were in the good category with scores between 70 and 84.99. However, in the ability to identify the properties of operations or concepts, all students fall into the very low category with scores below 39. The lowest score is in geometry and measurement, while the highest is in numbers. In the indicator linking various concepts, students fall into the low and sufficient categories. Students achieve a sufficient category in number content and uncertainty data. In the ability to develop necessary and sufficient conditions, students are in the very low category. The highest mathematical understanding score was achieved by SDN Margajaya at 56.08, which falls into the sufficient category, while four other schools are in the low category.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between smartphone use and speech delay in children. Over the past decade, the penetration of smartphones has increased significantly, resulting in early and intensive screen exposure among children. This study employs a quantitative method with structured surveys and direct observation of 10 children aged 4-5 years from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Data was collected regarding the daily duration of smartphone use, the type of content accessed, and parent-child interactions while using the device. Preliminary results indicate a significant negative correlation between the duration of smartphone use and the development of speech abilities. Children who spend more time with smartphones tend to show delays in reaching language development milestones compared to those with less exposure. Furthermore, this study identifies that the quality of parent-child interaction during smartphone use, such as joint discussions and verbal interactions, can mitigate and minimize the negative impact of smartphone usage. This research provides vital insights into the impact of digital technology on child development and offers recommendations for parents and early childhood education practitioners. Keywords: smartphone use, speech delay, child development, digital technology, parent-child interaction.

Abstract

Introduction: Teachers face challenges in adapting innovative teaching methods in the digital era. Classroom Action Research (CAR) has emerged as a solution to enhance the quality of teaching and teacher competence. Objectives: To improve the quality of teaching and student learning outcomes, as well as to equip teachers with reflective and problem-solving skills. Methods: This study examines the development and trends of CAR research from 2018 to 2024 through a literature review. Findings: CAR has been proven effective in driving teaching transformation, enhancing teacher collaboration, and improving understanding of student needs. Conclusion: CAR serves as an effective instrument for teacher professional development. Its success depends on institutional support, teacher collaboration, and a commitment to reflection and continuous improvement.
