Abstract

OFDM is one of technology that can be utilized in a variety of telecommunication systems that being widely developed today, for application in LAN, WLAN, 3G, 4G,  or  5G. One of the problem faced by the OFDM technology that its sensitivity to Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO) and the lack of synchronization in the OFDM signal. This research aims to design the synchronization that estimates Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO) to obtain synchronization of OFDM signal, where the error of the estimated Carrier Frequency Offset can be obtained, minimized and better than previous studies. The CFO estimation method  in this research is using the training symbol on the OFDM symbol and utilize the statistical characteristics of the timing metric. This researchs result shows the Mean Square Error (MSE) of estimated Carrier Frequency Offset to Carrier Frequency Offset input, with range MSE 9.43 x 10-3 at 0 dB SNR input and MSE 1.687 x 10-5 at 30 dB SNR input. If Signal to Noise Ratio is greater, then the value of the mean square error (MSE) will be smaller. The position of the timing metric for timing estimation also affects to CFO estimation. CFO estimation accuracy will be maximized when using maximum timing metric.

Abstract

Internet adalah jaringan komunikasi dan informasi global yang menawarkan berbagai manfaat. Dengan kemampuan dan kemauan untuk memanfaatkannya, pengguna dapat dengan mudah, cepat, dan murah berkomunikasi ke seluruh dunia. Namun, internet memiliki sisi positif dan negatif, terutama karena perilaku pengguna sering kali berkaitan dengan paparan materi yang kurang bermanfaat. Program Internet Sehat dan Aman (INSAN), yang dicanangkan oleh Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika Indonesia (Kemkominfo), bertujuan untuk menyosialisasikan penggunaan internet secara sehat dan aman. Dalam rangka mendukung program ini, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan bersama organisasi pemuda Karang Taruna RW 007, Bakti Jaya, Tangerang Selatan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk mendorong masyarakat, khususnya generasi muda, agar lebih bijak dalam memanfaatkan internet sebagai media komunikasi sekaligus mampu membatasi diri dari pengaruh negatif yang beredar di dunia maya. Implementasi DNS Nawala diharapkan dapat membantu masyarakat dalam menyaring konten-konten negatif di internet.

Abstract

Military communication, known tactical communications. Tactical communications support military operations is the region that does not have a fixed network infrastructure. Appropriate technology to support performance of tactical communication is Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs). Node in MANET has dynamic characteristics that will significantly influence the composition of the network topology. In tactical Mobile Ad Hoc Networks, problems that occur is the vulnerability to changes in the network topology due to node mobility. The solution face this problems is the routing protocol is suitable for use in MANET. In this study, used an approach in terms of distributed routing mechanism. In distributed routing mechanism, each node informed about the status of other nodes in the same network, and storage the information is within their local database respectively. TORA and AODV can support this mechanism, so in this study two of routing protocols will be compared in terms of dynamic adaptability, routing overhead, end-to-end delay and throughput. From this research, AODV produce better performance than TORA. For the speed of 10 m/s, the measurement of end-to-end delay is the smallest 1245.376 ms, increase in throughput of 74.363 % and the adaptability of 30.179. But the routing overhead generated greater, amounting 1359.
