Previous studies have shown a relationship between secure attachment and marital quality in married couples. However, the correlation between secure attachment and marital quality shows varying results. This meta-analysis aims to evaluate the relationship between secure attachment and marital quality for married couples by revealing how true r is and the effect size of the correlation between the two variables. This meta-analysis research identified 15 studies that he considered eligible, with a total sample of 4.840. The results of the analysis confirm that there is a positive correlation between secure attachment and the quality of marriage in married individuals at a strong level with 95% CI [0,401; 1,053]. The heterogeneity test showed good results, and there was no publication bias.

Abstract

Sleep is essential for a person's life. Quality sleep will affect a person's condition in living their days. Many things can disrupt a person's sleep quality, including excessive smartphone use, bedtime procrastination, and low self-regulation. This study aimed to empirically examine the influence of sleep delay, smartphone addiction tendencies, and self-regulation on sleep quality in early adult smartphone users. The sampling technique in this research is non-probability sampling. The sample in this study was 149 early adult smartphone users with an age range of 18-40 years. Data collection in this study used a sleep delay scale, smartphone addiction scale, self-regulation scale, and sleep quality scale. Based on the results of multiple regression analysis, it is known that the significance level is 0.000 (p<0.01), with an RSquare value of 0.461 (46.1%). This shows that the influence of self-regulation, smartphone addiction tendencies, and bedtime procrastination on the sleep quality of early adult smartphone users is very significant. Apart from that, it appears that self-regulation, smartphone addiction tendencies, and bedtime procrastination affect the sleep quality of early adult smartphone users by 46.1% while other factors outside this research influence the remaining 53.9%.

Abstract

Entering young adulthood involves major role transitions and increasing responsibilities that require effective psychological adaptation. For individuals raised in single-parent families, limited parental support and the absence of one parental figure may create additional challenges to achieving psychological well-being. In this context, self-compassion may function as an important internal resource that helps individuals cope with adversity and maintain positive psychological functioning. Objective: This study aimed to examine the role of self-compassion in promoting psychological well-being among young adults from single-parent families. Method: This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires from 130 young adults from single-parent families selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression to assess the contribution of self-compassion to psychological well-being. Findings: The results showed that self-compassion had a significant role in predicting psychological well-being (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.481, indicating that self-compassion explained 48.1% of the variance in psychological well-being. In addition, both self-compassion and psychological well-being were found to be at moderate levels among participants. Implications: These findings suggest that strengthening self-compassion may serve as an effective psychological resource to support the well-being of young adults from single-parent families. The results also provide practical implications for counselors, psychologists, and family-based support programs in developing interventions that enhance adaptive coping and emotional resilience. Originality: The originality of this study lies in its focus on young adults raised by a single parent due to parental loss, highlighting self-compassion as a protective factor within this specific population. This study contributes empirical evidence to the growing body of literature on positive psychological resources in vulnerable family contexts.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology requires parents, especially working mothers, to possess awareness and the ability to manage technology use efficiently, while balancing professional and parenting roles. This study aims to examine the influence of work-life balance and digital parental self-efficacy on digital parental awareness, specifically in the subdimension of efficient technology use. A quantitative research approach with an online survey was conducted with 182 working mothers who have children aged 5–15 years and are actively using gadgets or the internet. The results show that work-life balance and digital parental self-efficacy have a positive and significant effect on digital parental awareness in the efficient use of technology (R² = 0.239, F = 28.151, p < 0.01). These findings reveal that 23.9% of the variance in efficient digital awareness can be explained by these two variables. A balance between work and personal life supports mothers' involvement in overseeing their children's technology use, while digital self-efficacy enhances their ability to manage technology in a safe and productive manner. This study underscores the importance of programs that enhance work-life balance and digital self-efficacy training for working mothers in the digital age.
