Abstract

Current culinary business trends have a direct relationship to the culinary sector's favorable prospects and opportunities. Culinary MSMEs in Mahavihara Mojopahit, Bejijong Village, Trowulan need to expand their customer base beyond tourists to the Mahavihara Mojopahit tourist area. This circumstance necessitates a more proactive marketing strategy, namely a digital marketing strategy. Assistance for MSMEs begins with a preparation period that includes Focus Group Discussions and comparative studies of culinary tourism centers (SWK) that have successfully implemented digital marketing strategies. Furthermore, assistance is provided through stepwise training in digital content production, customer engagement, and operational management. This MSME assistance can strengthen the knowledge and skills of MSME partners in digital.marketing.

Abstract

Red fruit (Pandanus conoideus Lam.) contains antioxidant compounds in high levels, including beta-carotene and tocopherol, which neutralize free radical compounds which can cause cancer. Red fruit contains 46% water so red fruit can only last 5 days in this condition. To maintain its stability, it is necessary to dry it with various methods, for example détente instantanée contrôlée (DIC) is a revolutionary pressure drop drying procedure. Every procedure for drying raw material can affect its quality and activity, for example the anticancer activity of red fruit. In-vitro cytotoxicity of DIC pre-dried red fruit extracts on HeLa cells has never been tested, so it is important to study. Red fruit which was obtained from Klamono, Sorong, a highland in Papua was extracted with ethanol or hexane which previously dried by DIC pre-drying or conventional drying methods were weighed then dissolved in DMSO. Cytotoxicity assays was conducted using method the MTT with five levels of extract concentration. Result of this research showed that cytotoxicity assay of red fruit extracts on HeLa cells showed that red fruit extract can inhibit cell viability. The conventionally dried red fruit extract shows stronger cytotoxicity against HeLa cells than the DIC pre-dried extract. Red fruit extract cytotoxicity against HeLa cells: ethanolic extract of red fruit previously dried by conventional drying technique > ethanolic extract of red fruit previously dried by DIC pre-drying process > hexane extract of red fruit previously dried by conventional drying method > hexane extract of red fruit previously dried by DIC pre-drying process.

Abstract

Many nutrients and active medicinal compounds in soybean (Glycine max) reduce the risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease, postmenopausal issues, diabetes, and some neurodegenerative disorders. Soybean protein causes several allergic reactions, which necessitates quality control for traditional medicines and herbal products. Morphological and molecular characterization using Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) method were used to control soybean quality. Morphological characterization of 35 soybean varieties from the Research Institute for Various Beans and Tubers (BALITKABI), Malang, East Java, included photos of each variety and seed size, color, hilum color, weight, and special characteristics. RAPD with OPF-3 and OPF-16 primers characterized 35 soybean seed varieties. This study found that morphological characteristics like seed color, hilum color, seed shape, and seed weight are difficult to use to distinguish between varieties, especially if there are no specific features that predominate in these varieties. However, molecular authentication with RAPD can distinguish 35 soybean varieties by the presence of specific polymorphic bands that can only be found in certain varieties.

Abstract

The production and marketing operations of small traditional medicine businesses (UKOT) in Indonesia heavily depend on the availability and choice of distributors of herbal products as well as suppliers of raw materials. The guarantee of accuracy and convenience of access to supplier and distributor data at UKOT PT X in Surabaya, East Java, can be supported by an internal information system that includes a database of East Java suppliers and distributors. Data was gathered via an interview with the Responsible Pharmacist (APJ) and documentation on PT X's records. Subsequently, the completed data generated from the chosen documentation is entered into the database that is a component of PT X's internal information system. The analysis was conducted on PT X's internal database, with an emphasis on its completeness, correctness, and accessibility. This result was obtained by 80% of data completeness evaluation ranges. All respondents properly answered questions about data about finished product suppliers and distributors from PT X's internal information system database. Ninety-three percent of respondents agree that the database in PT X's information system is very easy to access in terms of data display, language, and search feature functions.
