The paper aims to examine the cast of artificial intelligence (AI) character in solving the problem of love and belonging needs in I am Mother film. Today, the arise of artificial intelligence (AI) has brought controversial debate among society about ethical consideration and psychological problems. One of the concerns is that the integration of AI with character may open up new approaches and innovation toward AI. The data are qualitatively-described focusing on psychological problems of main character using the third level of the hierarchy of human needs of Abraham Harold Maslow. The data are collected from dialogue, visual capture, and cinematography of I am Mother film. The study reveals that AI has a significant influence on the main character's sense of loss of love and belonging. In this film, the main character undergoes loss of love and belonging needs in four forms, family relationships, friendships, romantic relationships, community, and social group. Consequently, the loss of love and belonging has affected the main character’s psychology, feelings of loneliness, isolation, and emotional instability. Fortunately, the main character (Daughter) can overcome her psychological problems, such as creating a close relationship with Mother, improving her self-development, having empathy and caring for their environment, searching for the truth in the outside world, and finding the truth and where she belongs. The study concluded that AI’s emotion still needs to be controlled and trained to make up something, such as how to express emotion and feeling because the AI doesn’t understand the context since they are still need human involvement in its process of development. The pervasive meaning and the representative symbol of metaphors have led different views among scholars. Contemporary view has claimed that metaphor is basically symbolic in nature and is pervasive in human language, mind, and culture that goes beyond the scope of a language rather than just as language ornament conceived by the traditional view. The present study is close to the first view that metaphor and symbol in Madurese proverbs are not only matters of language but they mostly take into account with human way of thinking. Moreover, this study also takes a stand that metaphors and symbols can affect social thought and characters. In these regards, constructing the abstract meaning of metaphors - grounded in human mind and culture - has made visible need for this study to use Socio-Cognitive Linguistic approach. It is worth to use such integrated approach to see metaphoric and symbolic meaning about the nature of interpretation reflected in Madurese proverbs to reveal Madurese characters. The study showed that Madurese proverbs have reflected the courageous, religious, humorous, self-reliant, persistent and hard work, direct, and innocent characters of Madurese through their proverbial or metaphorical expressions. The study concluded that metaphors and symbols have played significant roles to reflect social markers due to the symbolic function and abstract meaning of metaphor is bond with human mind, experience, and culture structured through symbolic and metaphoric use.

This article is aimed at finding out the technique of subtitle and dubbing translation in OST Frozen: Let it Go. The article analyzes the lyrics of the song as the corpus. The data are analyzed qualitatively by using the subtitle translation techniques. The data collection is conducted through reading source language and target language, selecting and comparing the translation techniques done by the translator/dubber, marking, classifying and analyzing them based on the theories of translation technique proposed by Molina and Albir. The result shows that subtitle techniques done by the translator consist of eleven techniques. Based on the analysis of translation process translated from the lyrics into the subtitled version, the translator seems to use most of the technique. While the dubber only uses nine techniques in translating the lyrics into the dubbed version. In general, the translator’s technique applied in the subtitled version is mostly literal translation; While the dubbed version’s most common techniques are modulation and reduction.---Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang teknik penerjemahan subtitle dan dubbing dalam OST Frozen: Let It Go sebagai korpusnya. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik terjemahan subtitle. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui proses membaca bahasa sumber dan bahasa target, memilih dan membandingkan teknik penerjemahan yang dilakukan oleh penerjemah / dubber, menandai, mengklasifikasi dan menganalisisnya berdasarkan teknik penerjemahan yang diajukan oleh Molina dan Albir. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa teknik subtitle yang dilakukan oleh penerjemah terdiri dari sebelas teknik. Berdasarkan analisis proses terjemahan yang diterjemahkan dari lirik ke dalam versi subtitle, penerjemah tampaknya menggunakan sebagian besar teknik. Sedangkan dubber hanya menggunakan sembilan teknik dalam menerjemahkan lirik ke dalam versi yang dijuluki. Secara umum, teknik penerjemah yang diterapkan dalam versi subtitle sebagian besar adalah terjemahan harfiah; Sementara teknik yang paling umum dijuluki versi adalah modulasi dan reduksi.

This article aims to explain the community service program carried out by 18 KKN students group 113 in Rawa Rengas Village, Tangerang, Banten, in 2019. Prior to the implementation of KKN, students are required to conduct a survey first so that the program implemented will be in accordance with the needs and condition of the people. This is important considering that if KKN activities are not well planned, the results will also be less good. The method used by students to collect data is by using direct observation or Particatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), interviews, and document studies. Based on data collection and data analysis results, it can be reported that there are several important issues that need to be jointly resolved, especially by the local government or Rawa Rengas village officials, such as environmental, hygiene, education, security, and religious issues. The conclusion of this study is that the awareness of the people in Rawa Rengas Village is still very low, so there needs to be an effort from the local government to invite its citizens to maintain a clean and healthy environment. Abstrak:Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh 18 mahasiswa KKN kelompok 113 di Desa Rawa Rengas, Tangerang, Banten, pada tahun 2019. Sebelum pelaksanaan KKN, mahasiswa diwajibkan untuk melakukan survei terlebih dahulu agar program yang dilaksanakan nantinya sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kondisi masyarakatnya. Hal ini menjadi penting mengingat kegiatan KKN yang tidak direncanakan dengan baik maka hasilnya juga akan kurang baik. Metode yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa untuk mengumpulkan data adalah dengan menggunakan pengamatan langsung atau Particatory Rural Apraisal (PRA), wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Berdasarkan pengumpulan data dan hasil analisis data, dapat dilaporkan bahwa ada beberapa hal yang menjadi persoalan penting untuk dicarikan solusi secara bersama-sama, khususnya oleh pemerintah setempat atau aparat desa Rawa Rengas, seperti masalah lingkungan, kebersihan, pendidikan, keamanan, dan keagamaan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kesadaran masyarakat di Desa Rawa Rengas masih sangat rendah sehingga perlu adanya upaya dari pemerintah setempat untuk mengajak warganya agar menjaga lingkungan yang bersih dan sehat. Kata kunci: Pengabdian masyarakat, kesadaran sosial, dan kebersihan lingkungan.
