Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal yang mempengaruhi kinerja pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan di SMP Negeri 1 Teluk Pandan 2023/2024. Dalam analisis ini, kekuatan (Strengths) dan kelemahan (Weaknesses) diidentifikasi sebagai bagian dari faktor internal yang berada di bawah kendali sekolah. Kekuatan mencakup aspek-aspek seperti kualitas pengajaran, fasilitas yang memadai, dan manajemen yang efektif, sementara kelemahan mencakup area yang memerlukan perbaikan seperti keterbatasan sumber daya atau kurangnya inovasi dalam metode pengajaran. Faktor eksternal meliputi peluang (Opportunities) dan ancaman (Threats) yang berada di luar kendali sekolah namun tetap berdampak signifikan. Peluang dapat berasal dari perkembangan teknologi pendidikan, kebijakan pemerintah yang mendukung, dan tren positif di masyarakat. Sebaliknya, ancaman dapat muncul dari persaingan dengan institusi lain, perubahan kebijakan yang tidak menguntungkan, atau kondisi ekonomi yang menantang. Melalui analisis SWOT, sekolah dapat merumuskan strategi yang komprehensif untuk memaksimalkan kekuatan dan peluang, serta mengatasi kelemahan dan ancaman, guna meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan kinerja keseluruhan.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of school principals in increasing teacher work productivity in junior high schools in Samarinda City. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews with school principals, deputy principals and teachers as informants, as well as observation and documentation. The research results show that the planning carried out by the school principal has run optimally. The school principal prepares plans systematically, provides assistance to teachers to improve the quality of teaching. This planning includes preparing training and workshop schedules for teachers, providing facilities, and providing motivation. Follow-up to this plan includes recording deficiencies during class observations, calling individual teachers, and discussing the results through teacher council meetings. Good planning by school principals accelerates improvements in teacher performance, which has a positive impact on schools and students to achieve optimal results. This emphasizes the important role of school principals in designing strategies to increase teacher work productivity and manage schools effectively.

Abstract

Educational planning within schools especially at Islamic school plays a pivotal role in shaping the academic journey and overall development of students. This article explores various facets of effective educational planning and its significance in fostering a conducive learning environment. Through a comprehensive review of literature and case studies, the article delves into the importance of long-term strategic planning, curriculum alignment, and resource allocation in achieving educational objectives. Additionally, it examines the role of stakeholder engagement and collaboration in the planning process, emphasizing the need for inclusive decision-making to address diverse student needs. Furthermore, the article discusses the integration of technology and data-driven approaches in educational planning, highlighting their potential to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. By elucidating these key elements, this article aims to provide insights and practical strategies for educators and school administrators to optimize educational planning and facilitate holistic student development.
