Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kota Singaraja. yang bertujuan untuk : (1)mendeskripsikan pengetahuan masyarakat pesisir tentang kebersihanpantai di Kota Singaraja, (2) menjelaskan perilaku masyarakat pesisirterhadap pantai di Kota Singaraja, dan (3) menganalisis hubunganpengetahuan lingkungan dengan perilaku masyarakat pesisir terhadappantai di Kota Singaraja. Metode yang digunakan adalah SimpleRandom Sampling. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan deskriptifkualitatif dan korelasional. Penelitian ini melibatkan 82 responden yangtersebar di 3 kelurahan yaitu: kelurahan Baktiserage, Kp. Bugis, danPenarukan. Data diperoleh dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara,kuisioner, pencatatan dokumen, dan kepustakaan. Hasil penelitianmenunjukan bahwa (1) pengetahuan masyarakat pesisir tentangkebersihan pantai di Kota Singaraja terkategori tinggi dengan capaianskor rata-rata sebesar 36,85. (2) perilaku masyarakat pesisir terhadappantai di Kota Singaraja terkategori sedang dengan capaian skor rataratasebesar 28,23. (3) hubungan pengetahuan lingkungan denganperilaku masyarakat pesisir terhadap pantai di Kota Singaraja di analisismelalui korelasi Product Moment yakni di dapat hasil r = 0,433381924sedangkan r pada tabel dengan taraf signifikasi 5% yaitu r = 0,220.Berarti rhitung > rtabel maka Hipotesis diterima. Sehingga Terdapathubungan positif dan signifikan antara pengetahuan lingkungan denganperilaku masyarakat pesisir dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan.

This research is entitled Individual Counseling Using Self-Disclosure Techniques to Increase Self-Confidence in Women Suffering from HIV/AIDS (Case Study on "M" at the Indonesian Family Planning Association, South Sumatra). The background to this research is based on problems that occur with clients where clients experience a sense of lack of self-confidence as a person with B20. This research aims to determine individual counseling using Self Disclosure techniques to increase self-confidence. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach using field research. The data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation methods. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques used are pattern matching, data explanation and time series analysis. The results of this research show that there are two factors that influence client M's self-confidence, namely internal and external factors. After using the Self Disclosure technique, there appeared to be a change where client M had experienced changes in increasing his self-confidence.

Passive students are one of the challenges in English as a foreign language (EFL) classroom. Most of the EFL learners are able to understand the speakers but cannot speak much themselves. The conceivable teaching strategies are very crucial in order to assist the teachers to encourage the students to practice and be active in the classroom. This paper would like to elaborate the potential benefit of journal writing, especially in improving students’ speaking skill. Also, as a reference for Indonesian English teachers to guide the students to communicate confidently in English. To discover the advantages, the literature research methodology will be applied to explore the core concepts. The findings indicate that journal writing has several positive effects in improving students’ speaking skill in EFL classroom, though there are some challenges that teachers need to consider in applying this method. The implication of this research aims to increase the number of “active speaker” among English learners by promoting journal writing as learning tools in EFL context.

Technology is advancing rapidly in this globalization era. Modern technology such as Artificial Technology (AI) emerges as the result of digitalization and it has a favourable impact on many facets of life including in education sector. Generation Z or Gen Z, as digital natives, utilize digital technology including AI as an essential part of their daily routines. The purpose of this study is to investigate Gen Z students’ perspectives towards the use of technology particularly AI (artificial intelligence) technology in English language learning. The participants of this study were 30 students from English Education Department, class of TBI-3, fourth semester of State Islamic University of North Sumatera (UIN SU). Qualitative method was implemented in this study. To collect the data, two instruments were employed, through an interview technique and observation. The research findings revealed that 18 (60%) students agree with AI technology, 10 (33.3%) students were neutral and 2 (6.7%) students disagree with the utilization of AI technology in English language learning. AI technology seems to be more advanced in the future to assist human. Moreover, if it is integrated officially in education sector. Thus, Gen Z students should be wiser in accessing it. This study may broaden teachers’ and lecturers’ insight or horizon about current technology in English language learning.

PKK (Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga) memiliki fungsi untuk mewujudkan keluarga yang sehat, sejahtera, maju dan mandiri. Di berbagai Kelurahan terdapat program gerakan PKK yang biasa terdiri dari Ibu-ibu. Ibu PKK RT 008 RW 009 di Kelurahan Rawa Badak Utara Kecamatan Koja, Jakarta Utara. terdapat 11 orang. Ibu PKK memiliki fungsi untuk menciptakan adanya kesejahteraan. Pada permasalahan ini Ibu PKK ingin membantu adanya peningkatan pendapatan dalam produktivitas para warga yang memiliki UKM. Permasalahan utama yang mereka hadapi yaitu: Masalah kurangnya pengetahuan Ibu PKK dalam mengenal digital marketing seperti Grab Food. Solusi yang diberikan adalah berupa Pelatihan tata cara dalam memanfaatkan Grab Food yang dikolaborasikan pada UKM bersama tim KKN agar para Ibu PKK dapat berkontribusi membantu para warga memahami pentingnya digital marketing sebagai faktor dalam peningkatan pendapatan rumah tangga di masa pandemi Covid 19. Metode pemberdayaan pelatihan dan praktek yang diimplementasikan terhadap 11 anggota Ibu PKK selama 37 hari. Hasil kegiatan ini menambah wawasan para Ibu PKK dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan pada aspek perekonomian. Evaluasi yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil positif berdasarkan survey sebesar 100% bahwa antusias Ibu PKK dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan serta juga kepuasan para pelaku UKM dalam memanfaatkan Grab Food sebagai cara meningkatkan pendapatan.Kata kunci: Ibu PKK, Digital Marketing, Grab Food

In the digital age, the integration of technology in education has transformed how students submit assignments, with e-portfolios emerging as a dynamic platform. E-portfolios offer students a personalized digital space to document their learning progress, showcase achievements, and engage in reflective practice. This study explores the perceptions of English student teachers regarding the use of e-portfolios in a reflective practice project. Utilizing a qualitative approach, both questionnaires and interview data were collected with 14 students. The findings reveal that students perceive e-portfolios as beneficial for tracking their growth, visualizing progress, and supporting reflective learning. Despite these benefits, challenges such as technical difficulties and time constraints were also noted. The study highlights the significance of e-portfolios as an alternative assessment tool and emphasizes their role in enhancing self-reflection and professional growth. However, addressing technical issues and time management is crucial for maximizing the potential of e-portfolios in education.

In an increasingly globalized world, English reading comprehension is an essential skill, particularly for young learners in non-native English-speaking contexts such as Thailand. This study explores the effectiveness of narrative engagement in enhancing English reading comprehension among Thai elementary students through an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design. The research involved 27 fifth and sixth-grade students from a primary school in Satun Province, Thailand. Data were collected through a reading comprehension post-test, a questionnaire, and classroom observation. Quantitative results revealed a high average post-test score (M = 86.67, SD = 8.77), indicating substantial improvement in reading comprehension following the narrative-based intervention. The findings show that students experienced emotional connection, attention, and identification with the stories. The majority of students reported feeling engaged, visualizing the scenes vividly, and relating to the characters’ experiences. These findings confirm that narrative engagement significantly contributes to students’ cognitive and emotional involvement in reading, leading to improved comprehension. The study recommends the integration of narrative texts into English language instruction to foster deeper reading experiences and motivation among young EFL learners.

The proliferation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has led to its widespread integration in educational contexts. Its application has expanded across a variety of functions, including essay writing, presentations, and interactive learning tools. Many studies have examined the use of AI in language learning, though few have explored the integration of AI within the Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) approach in enhancing students’ communication skills. This study aims to investigate the impact of AI on EFL learners by integrating AI technology within the TBLT framework. An experimental study will be used as the research methodology with pre-test and post-test in the control and experimental groups to measure the impact. Additionally, focus group discussion (FGD) and questionnaires will be employed to collect data, examining both the impact and students’ perspectives. Researchers will examine (1) the effectiveness of TBLT in enhancing students’ speaking skills and (2) learners’ perspectives on the method regarding their communication skills. The findings suggest that the integration of AI-based TBLT is effective in improving EFL learners’ speaking and communication skills. This research offers insights into AI-assisted language learning and provides practical implications for integrating digital tools in communicative teaching strategies.

The study of verbal interactions between teachers and students in English foreign language classes focuses on understanding the dynamics and communication patterns that occur during the language teaching and learning process. The current study reveals the issues about investigating types of verbal interaction realized by an English teacher and students in the classroom and also investigating its impact on students’ speaking achievement. Forty-three students of the grade VII-3 of MTS Negeri 3 Medan and one English teacher participated in this study. The data was probed through classroom observation, recording the teaching classroom interaction. The finding exposed that firstly, teacher talk was dominantly practiced English in the teaching classroom interaction rather than students’ talk. Secondly, the types of verbal interaction that occurred in the teaching classroom interaction by which realized by an English teacher were: 1. Asking Questions interaction 33%, 2. At lecturing classroom interaction 9%, 3. Giving Direction interaction 11%. The total percentages of all types of scores are about 53%. The types of verbal interaction that were applied by the students as follows; 1. The students’ talk responses 23%,2. The students’ talk initiation10% by which accumulated about 33%. They were 14 percent of students not giving any feedback (Silence). The speaking score at final test showed that 34.88% or 15 students who were able in verbal interaction between teacher and students. Consequently, this scholarly paper also provides advice on English teacher to highlight effective teaching practices and provide insight into how language learning can be enhanced through meaningful and engaging interactions. HIGHLIGHTS: Teachers most often use six different approaches: accepting feelings, praising and encouraging, using students' ideas, posing questions, lecturing, and providing instructions. The English teacher is advised to expand the intensity of students verbal interactions in learning English with the teacher and among students in the classroom. The teacher-talk control had a high rate of classroom involvement. It indicates that teacher spends significant time controlling

Abstrak : Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas sosialisasi storytelling menggunakan media gambar dalam pengembangan keterampilan komunikasi dan sosial anak usia dini, yang dimana dalam proses kegiatannya melibatkan 20 anak berusia 4-6 tahun di sebuah taman kanak-kanak. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa media gambar tidak hanya menarik perhatian anak, tetapi juga dapat meningkatkan partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan bercerita. Anak-anak menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan dalam menyampaikan ide, bekerja sama, dan berinteraksi dengan teman sebaya. Selain itu, penggunaan media gambar membantu anak memahami struktur cerita dan memperkaya imajinasi mereka. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah bahwa storytelling melalui media gambar dapat dijadikan strategi yang efektif dalam sosialisasi anak usia dini, mendukung perkembangan sosial, emosional, dan kognitif mereka. Rekomendasi untuk pendidik adalah untuk lebih mengintegrasikan media visual dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan kreativitas anak terutama pada anak usia dini disekolahnya.
