Abstract

DIGESTIBILITY OF CRUDE FIBER AND NNFE (NON NITROGEN FREE EXTRACT) COMPLETE FEED BASED ON CORN FORAGE ON ONGOLE CROSSBREED CATTLE.  This Research was conducted to evaluate digestibility of crude fiber and NNFE (non nitrogen free extract) complete feed based on corn forage and king grass on ongole crossbreed cattle. The total of 14 ongole crossbreed cattle at age of 1,5 – 2 years old with the body weight of 180 – 250 kilogram were used in this study. The completely using the analysis t-Test (Two-Sample Assuming Unequal Variences) randomized design involving 2 treatments and 7 replications in each treatment was applied at the experimental unit. The treatments of this research were consisted of Ra = corn forage 50% + concentrate 50% and Rb = corn forage 25% + king grass 25% + concentrate 50%. The results of this research showed that consumption of crude fiber was not significantly (P>0,05) but digestibility of crude fiber was very significantly (P<0.01). Digestibility of NNFE was significantly (P<0.05). Based on the result of this study can be concluded that the complete feed based on corn forage and king grass on ongole crossbreed cattle composition 50% consentrate + 25% corn forage + 25% king grass increase consumption of NNFE, digestibility of Crude fiber and digetibility of NNFE. Key Words: crude fiber, NNFE, corn forage, ongole crossbreed cattle.

Abstract

EVALUATION OF BIOLOGICAL VALUE OF DRY MATTER AND ORGANIC MATTER COMPLETE FEED BASED ON CORN FORAGE IN DAIRY COWS. This aim of this study was to determine intakes and digestibility of the dry matter and organic matter of complete feed based on corn forage. 14 FH cows weighing 300-400 kg were used in this research. The feed treatments consist of  Ra (30% concentrate + 70% corn forage), and  Rb (30% concentrate + 35% corn forage +    35% king grass). This experiment arranged in a statistical method of t-test two sample assuming unequal variance. The variables observed were intakes and digestibilities of both dry matter and organic. The results shows that the intakes of both dry matter and organic matter in the Ra were not significantly different from the Rb (P> 0.05). The dry matter digestibility of Rb were highly significant different from Ra (P<0.01), as well as organic matter digestibility of Rb was also significantly different from Ra (P <0.05). It is concluded that complete feed consisting of concentrate, corn forage and king grass was obtained the best digestibilities of both dry matter and organic matter.

Abstract

CARCASS AND ABDOMEN FAT PERCENTAGES IN BROILERS FED RATION COMBINED WITH HERBAL DAN ZINC MINERAL Study was done to evaluate carcass quality of broilers fed ration combined with herbal and zinc mineral. Hundred broilers were randomly divided into four treatments with five replications in each treatment. Each unit was placed five day old chicks. Treatments were consisted of basal ration (R1), basal ration added with 1.5 % of turmeric and 180 ppm of Zinc (R2), basal ration added with 2.5 % of white onion and 180 ppm of Zinc (R3), and basal ration added with anti biotic (R4). Results showed that combination of herbal and zinc mineral affected significantly the carcass and abdomen fat in broilers.  Therefore, it can be concluded that combinations of turmeric or white onion and zinc mineral produced ideal carcass and abdomen fat in broilers. Key Words: Abdomen fat, broiler, carcass, herbal, zinc.

Abstract

ENERGY DIGESTIBILITY AND TOTAL DIGESTIBLE  NUTRIENT IN DAIRY COWS GIVEN COMPLETE FEED BASED ON  CORN FORAGE. The purpose of this research  was to examine the value of energy digestibility and total nutrient digestibility in dairy cows which are given complete feed based on corn forage. 14 head of cattle with age ± 6-8 years weighing 300-400 kg were used in this study. This biological experiment used a statistical analysis of the T test with unequal variations (t-test two sample assuming unequel variance). The treatments consists of: Ra (30% Concentrate + 70% Corn forage), and Rb (30% Concentrate + 35% Corn forage + 35% King Grass). The results showed that the energy intake both of treatments(Ra and Rb) were not significantly different (P <0.05) while the energy digestibility and total digestible nutrient of the Rb treatment were significantly higher (P <0.05) than Ra treatment. It can be concluded that feed treatment using of 30% oncentrate, 35% king grass, and 35% corn forage was obtained the best energy disgestibility and total digestible nutrient values. Keywords: energy digestibility, dairy cows. corn forage , king grass.
