Abstract

The feud between PS Glow and MS Glow became a conversation that caught the public's attention. One of the parties is considered to have the same principal trademark, so the intention to imitate, plagiarize or follow the other party's brand for business purposes creates unhealthy business conditions and deceives or misleads consumers. This study analyzes the trademark dispute between PS Glow and MS Glow. The data sources in this study are the Decisions of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number 2/Pdt.Sus.HKI/Merek/2022/PN Niaga Mdn and Number 2/Pdt.Sus.HKI/Merek/2022/PN Niaga Sby. This research uses methods and techniques which are divided into three stages, namely (1) the data collected by observation method assisted by note-taking technique; (2) Data analysis using qualitative methods. The data analysis technique used descriptive technique; and (3) Presentation of the data analysis results using informal and formal methods. The results show that PS Glow and MS Glow are other trademarks. It can be seen based on the analysis at the phonological level, namely the presence of sounds that can distinguish meaning, namely /p/ - /m/. Thus, it can be said that the decisions of judges are considered inaccurate.

Abstract

This research seeks to explore the role of Virtual Reality (VR) technology in aiding students to build their speaking skills, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of VR in enhancing these abilities. The study uses a classroom action research approach with a cyclical model across two cycles, each comprising the stages of planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. Data was collected through performance tests and observations, and analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative descriptive statistics. The results reveal that VR implementation significantly improves students' speaking skills. This improvement is demonstrated by the rise in students' average scores across cycles; the first cycle showed an average score of 66.15 with a classical completeness rate of 60%, while the second cycle increased to an average score of 77.3 with a completeness rate of 80%. These findings suggest that VR is an effective tool for enhancing students' speaking proficiency, offering an immersive and interactive learning experience that fosters greater confidence and engagement in language practice.

Abstract

Studi kasus terhadap seorang anak berusia lima tahun yang mengikuti orang tuanya dan bersekolah di Denpasar semenjak usia empat tahun. Penelitian ini dilakukan setelah setahun anak tersebut tinggal dan bersekolah selama satu tahun. Bahasa ibunya adalah bahasa Melayu Kupang yang digunakan untuk berkomunikasi dengan orang tua dan sebagian tetangga yang yang adalah orang Kupang. Bahasa Indonesia dialek Denpasar hanya dipakai saat berada di sekolah. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengamatan dan wawancara langsung dengan teknik catat dan rekam. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara fonologis, anak tersebut mengalami hambatan dalam pelafalan bunyi-bunyi tertentu oleh karena kematangan organ bicara, yaitu tidak dibiasakan dan pengaruh bahasa pertama. Pada tataran morfologis, anak tersebut belum bisa menempatkan afiks dalam suatu kata sehingga dalam percakapannya si anak menggunakan kalimat yang mudah dipahami mitra tuturnya tanpa menggunakan kata berafiks. Ia masih terpola dengan bahasa ibunya. Secara sintaksis, mengalami perkembangan yang cukup baik terbukti dari kemampuan merangkai hingga sebelas kata dalam satu kalimat. Secara semantik, masih mengalami keterbatasan kosa kata yang dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan persepsinya terhadap makna yang hanya terbatas pada ligkungannya.
