Abstract

This research aims to determine the development of sharia financing in upgrade OPOP program. This conceptual study used secondary data and descriptive analysis on sharia microfinance. It reviews 11 papers related to OPOP program in Google scholar, detected by Published or Perish (PoP) software. The exiting model shows that efficiency of sharia financing link OPOP program could be create pesantren empowerment, such as increase santri’s creativity, create product and open the labor market. The integration of sharia microfinance and pesantren will provide economic, social, and religion benefits. The several existing integrated model of sharia financing development to improve OPOP are cash waqf financing link OPOP, OVOP link OPOP, Sharia microfinance LKMS link OPOP and Islamic university link OPOP. The rule will provide economic, social, religion and ecological benefit, especially in reducing poverty. The recommendation encourages the other research to explore the role of sharia mudlorobah and ijaroh financing development exclude in upgrade OPOP Program.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the internal and external factors on the credit risk that represented by Non-Performing Financing (NPF) of sharia bank. Internal variables related to Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR). Return on Assets (ROA), Operating Expenses Ratio (OER), Investment Proportion and Risk (IPR), Profit and Loss Sharing (PLS) as financing ratio. External variables related to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by industrial origin. The annual data report of Statistik Perbankan Syariah (SPS) and Statistik Ekonomi Keuangan Indonesia (SEKI) in Indonesia as secondary data is used to support priority setting of SWOT analysis element to complete IFAS dan EFAS after the multiple regression analysis. Different with the result of regression t and f-Statistic analysis, the finding indicated that internal variables more influence than external variable on the credit risk based on SWOT priority analysis. The most influence variable on the credit risk is increasing Operating Expenses Ratio (OER). The limitations of this paper are expected to have difference implication for SPS, the sharia compliance from regulator management and the important role of SPS and SEKI.

Abstract

In Islamic economic research, we may collect categorical variable data. Using statistical analysis, chi-square test can be an alternative to evaluate those data. Furthermore, the analysis of chi-square test can be aimed at evaluating the differences between study groups according to the assign degree of error. This article also explains the purpose of chi-square test, the Karl Person chi-square hypothesis, what type of data can use in chi-square test, the assumptions of chi-square analysis and also the rule to analyze categorical variables data in sharia economics research.

Abstract

There are many institutions in East Java Such as Sharia Kopwan, Baitul Maal Wat Tanwiil (BMT) and also Bank Wakaf Mikro (BWM), but they have many problems including the moderation effect. It caused by many factors like Islamic product design, Islamic product business and Islamic Good Governance implementation. The purpose of this study is to investigate the moderation effect of BWM in East Java. This paper was conducted qualitatively with a multiple case studies approach in six cash waqf institution in East Java. It was conducted that the moderation in BWM had similarities correction in product design management of fund, using ijaroh. The Islamic product business were chosen to the productive poor around the Islamic Boarding School and should to academic mission. Last, to upgrade Islamic good governance, BWM ought to collect the waqf funds directly, exclude LAZNAS BSM UMAT.
