Abstract

The study is a part of the government-sponsored literacy program to improve the Indonesian secondary students’ literacy performance. Particularly, this study focuses on the examination of the program as the attempt to improve the secondary teachers’ literacy instruction at the under-resourced schools. The program implemented in the Bahasa Indonesia subject by employing Reading to Learn pedagogy (Rose, 2016) in teaching the explanatory text. Using an interventional ethnographic study design, which involves three main phases i.e. Reading to Learn pedagogy workshop, the R2L implementation with mentoring, and evaluation, the current study investigates the experience of two female eighth graders’ contract-based teachers, in their early thirties, at two under-resourced secondary schools in, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The data collected in this three-month study were observation, interviews with the teachers, principal, and students, recorded teaching sessions, recorded reflections sessions, and lesson plans and teaching materials. The findings of the study reveal that the teachers’ literacy instruction in utilizing stages in the R2L pedagogy indicated significant improvement from their previous practice. The intensive mentoring provided during the workshop and school implementation of the R2L implementation have equipped the teachers with more solid pedagogical foundation in internalizing and implementing the R2L pedagogy. In addition, the program has promoted the teachers’ professional development and assisted the school to gain larger access to literacy pedagogy for better literacy participation.

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menjawab soal-soal matematika, terutama yang berbasis soal Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), menjadi masalah dalam penelitian ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana guru dapat membantu siswa kelas V di SDN SN Kuripan 2 Banjarmasin dalam mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam pelajaran matematika. Teknik kualitatif deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Untuk menyelidiki pengalaman dan pendapat para pendidik, siswa, dan administrator sekolah terkait, data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengajar memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan berbagai kemampuan yang dibutuhkan siswa di dunia saat ini dan mengelola potensi mereka. Setelah kemampuan-kemampuan tersebut diidentifikasi, guru menggunakan berbagai strategi untuk membantu siswa meningkatkan pemahaman mereka terhadap masalah, meningkatkan motivasi mereka untuk belajar matematika, menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, menerapkan model pembelajaran yang mendukung turnamen permainan tim, dan menciptakan pelajaran matematika yang menarik.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model in improving the critical thinking skills of grade 3 students in elementary school. While the theory used is the constructivist theory with observation data collection techniques from teacher and student activities and also using tests to test students' thinking skills. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research method and a pretest-posttest control group design. The results showed that the average activity of the control class teacher was 74.99, while in the experimental class it was 84.37. The learning outcomes of students in the control class showed no significant results because they were less than 0.005. While in the experimental class showed significant results. Thus it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning learning model is able to improve the critical thinking skills of grade 3 students in elementary school.

Abstract

The research conducted used a qualitative approach and used qualitative descriptive methods. The purpose of this study is to describe the moral aspects in the poem Gurindam 12 by Raja Ali Haji that are inherent in social life, especially Malay. The results of the study are known that the moral aspect in Gurindam 12 has 3 moral aspects with several relationship relationships, namely: humans with themselves, humans with God, and humans with fellow humans. Researchers suggest inserting Gurindam 12 verses in Indonesian learning because they have a moral education that is virtuous and characteristic.Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan aspek moral dalam syair Gurindam 12 karya Raja Ali Haji yang melekat di kehidupan sosial terutama Melayu. Hasil penelitian diketahui aspek moral dalam Gurindam 12 memiliki 3 aspek moral dengan beberapa keterkaitan hubungan, yaitu: manusia dengan diri sendiri, manusia dengan Tuhan, serta manusia dengan sesama manusia. Peneliti menyarankan untuk disisipkan syair Gurindam 12 dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia karena memiliki pendidikan moral yang berbudi dan berkarakter.

Abstract

Peningkatan teknologi dan penetrasi internet telah mengubah lanskap bisnis secara signifikan, dengan bisnis e-commerce menjadi salah satu kekuatan pendorong ekonomi digital saat ini. Dalam konteks ini, pengembangan aplikasi e-commerce menjadi kunci untuk meningkatkan penjualan online dan memenangkan persaingan di pasar yang semakin kompetitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan aplikasi e-commerce yang efektif dan inovatif untuk meningkatkan penjualan online. Penelitian ini mencakup analisis pasar, identifikasi preferensi pelanggan, serta pemahaman mendalam tentang tantangan dan peluang dalam bisnis e-commerce. Melalui pendekatan desain yang berfokus pada pengguna, aplikasi e-commerce ini akan dirancang untuk memberikan pengalaman belanja online yang lebih nyaman, aman, dan menarik bagi pelanggan. Selain itu, aplikasi ini akan mencakup fitur-fitur seperti sistem pembayaran yang terintegrasi, manajemen inventaris yang efisien, serta strategi pemasaran online yang terarah. Dengan implementasi aplikasi e-commerce yang sukses, diharapkan peningkatan penjualan online dapat dicapai, serta meningkatnya loyalitas pelanggan dan ekspansi bisnis. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi panduan bagi pelaku bisnis yang ingin memanfaatkan potensi bisnis online dan memperkuat keberadaan mereka dalam dunia e-commerce yang terus berkembang

Abstract

This study discusses the effect of the flipped classroom learning model supported by the Adobe Flash application on the mathematical communication skills and mathematical problem solving of students at SMK Pasundan 1 Kota Serang. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method with the Pre-Experimental type. The study was conducted in one class only (experimental class Using a one group pretest posttest design. In this study, an initial test was carried out before being given treatment (pretest) then treatment was carried out (flipped classroom learning model with the help of the Adobe Flash application), then a final test was given after being given treatment (posttest). The results showed that there was a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students in the pretest and posttest classes. Students who were given treatment with the flipped classroom learning model using Adobe Flash showed an increase in mathematical communication skills and mathematical problem solving that were better than students who were given treatment with conventional learning models. These results indicate that the Flipped Classroom Model with Adobe Flash Interactive Media can improve the mathematical communication skills and mathematical problem solving of students at SMK Pasundan 1 Kota Serang
