Abstract

Wireless communication nowadays requires a system with reliable performance, efficient use of bandwidth, efficient power, and better coverage because it is in line with human needs for applications that require high and fast data rates. One of the concepts and methods to meet these needs is using an antenna technique with many transmitters and receivers or often called Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO), by adding a strategy at the time of delivery, namely the Space-Time Coding (STC) technique. In addition, the application of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) on MIMO-STC will more efficiently use bandwidth. The Space-Time Trellis Code (STTC) method is one of the diverse techniques in sending data with complex coding so that coding reinforcement is achieved and applied to the OFDM MIMO system. It is hoped that a system with reliable performance can be achieved. The simulation that is carried out presents the STTC and OFDM schemes on multi antennas (2 transmitters x 2 receivers) with a Combiner and Maximum Likelihood Sequence Estimator (MLSE) detection algorithm on the receiver. It is to get the quality of the sending signal in the performance analysis of Bit Error Rate (BER) with Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR). The simulation results are shown by modulation with M-array Phase Shift Keying (MPSK) and the number of symbols sent by giving different input parameter values. The results show that the number of carriers and the size of the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) is large, and the modulation type with a small constellation produces a low BER and throughput at high SNR.

Abstract

5G mobile communication technology has attracted much attention in the past three years. However, the development of antennas that can cover three types of 5G bands at once has not been studied. This paper proposes an antenna covering the three frequency bands of 2.3 GHz, 3.5 GHz, and 26 GHz for 5G communication. The proposed antenna uses a microstrip patch design with 50-ohm inset feeding. FDTD mathematical analysis through simulation has been carried out and confirmed that the proposed antenna meets the required specifications in 5G technology. The simulation result shows that the proposed antenna has a good reflection coefficient in the target frequencies of -22.6 dB, -28.26 dB, and -22.48 dB, respectively.

Abstract

The capability improvement of a telecommunications device influences the performance aspect of the device. In order to access the signal source, repeaters are required to reach signal to subscribers or improvements to the user's device itself that are able to reach signals that are far away. One of the telecommunications devices on the user side includes a low noise amplifier (LNA) which is useful for strengthening the signals and reducing the noise level received. This equipment supports to stay within reach of small signals received by users in areas with less signal. In this research, LNA is discussed specifically, especially increasing LNA gain and impedance matching methods through resonator modification. The LNA is designed using a two-stage cascading method which has high gain and low reflection factor. The simulation results show that the proposed LNA design succeeded in obtaining a gain of 31.6 dB where the stability and noise figure values obtained 3.79 dB and I.87 dB respectively. The T-Matching stub method used to adjust input and output impedance also succeeded in having a low reflection coefficient. At a frequency of 1575 MHz, the input and output reflection coefficients were obtained -70.5 dB and 56.2 dB. LNA design is divided into three steps, such as LNA bias design, single-stage LNA and cascaded connected two-stage LNA. The simulation results show that the LNA design meets the agreement with the desired target specifications.

Abstract

Motor induksi adalah salah satu mesin paling kritikal di industri sehingga sangat diperhatikan pemeliharaannya untuk menjaga kondisi mesin karena proses produksi akan berhenti dan menyebabkan kerugian yang sangat besar bagi perusahaan jika kondisi motor sampai mengalami kerusakan yang lebih besar seperti kerusakan bearing dan poros serta rusaknya gigi-gigi. Tindakan preventif sangat dibutuhkan untuk melakukan perawatan secara periodik pada mesin sehingga kondisi motor dapat dikendalikan secara berkala, salah satunya dengan melakukan pemantauan vibrasi pada mesin tersebut. Sistem pemantauan ini menggunakan sensor akselerometer tipe AC102-1A untuk membaca nilai vibrasi yang dihasilkan mesin kemudian nilai masuk kedalam PLC sebagai kendalinya dan kemudian diteruskan pada HMI. Dari nilai vibrasi tersebut ditentukan batas atas nilai vibrasi yang diizinkan sebagai pengaman motor dengan mematikan motor jika nilai melebihi nilai batasan. Untuk mendapatkan beberapa nilai vibrasi dilakukan penambahan beban berupa baut dan mur pada piringan yang dijadikan beban motor. Nilai vibrasi tersebut akan dibandingkan dengan nilai arus motor yang diukur menggunakan ampere meter. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kenaikan nilai vibrasi pada rotor diikuti kenaikan arus pada motor dan nilai terbesar berada pada titik enam piringan dengan nilai di frekuensi 15 Hz = 7.5 mm/s, 25 Hz = 15.4 mm/s, 35 Hz =28.3 mm/s, dan 50 Hz = 49.15 mm/s dan diikuti dengan kenaikan arus pada motor.

Abstract

Pembangunan infrastruktur di kawasan metropolitan seperti JABODETABEK membutuhkan dukungan data spasial yang akurat, salah satunya berupa peta topografi digital. Sayangnya, masih banyak lulusan SMK dan mahasiswa teknik yang belum menguasai keterampilan teknis seperti penggambaran kontur dengan AutoCAD dan analisis spasial menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Kesenjangan ini menjadi hambatan serius dalam menyiapkan tenaga kerja yang kompeten di bidang survei dan pemetaan. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi teknologi dan keterampilan pemetaan topografi digital bagi siswa SMK dan mahasiswa awal bidang teknik melalui pelatihan berbasis proyek. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan intensif selama dua hari dengan pendekatan praktik langsung, pretest–posttest, dan evaluasi proyek. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan kompetensi peserta, dengan rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 52,3 dan posttest meningkat menjadi 82,4. Sebanyak 90% peserta mengalami peningkatan skor ≥20 poin, dan 85% berhasil menyusun peta kontur dengan interval representatif serta mengintegrasikan data AutoCAD ke dalam platform SIG. Selain itu, mayoritas peserta menilai pelatihan sangat bermanfaat dan memberikan masukan untuk pelatihan lanjutan. Program ini terbukti efektif sebagai model intervensi strategis dalam menjembatani kesenjangan kompetensi lulusan pendidikan vokasi dengan kebutuhan industri pemetaan modern.
