Abstract

In Indonesia, the basis for implementing road safety consists of five pillars which are compiled in the General National Road Safety Plan (RUNK). One of the pillars proclaimed is the behavior of safe road users. This aims as an effort to reduce traffic accidents because road users are the biggest factor in road accidents related to user behavior. The cases of road traffic accidents in Indonesia are dominated by motorcyclists, especially Jakarta, which is one of the cities with a fairly high rate of motorcycle accidents. Because the behavior of road users is closely related to traffic accidents, and also motorcyclists are the users who are involved in the highest traffic accidents, this study explains the factors that determine the safety behavior of motorcyclists in Jakarta. The application of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) is used as a basis for finding the factors that may determine the behavior of the motorcyclist. Furthermore, the research approach used in this study is quantitative with primary data in the form of a closed questionnaire instrument from 230 respondents who ride motorcycles in Jakarta. The data analysis technique used is the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach using the AMOS 22.00 program as a tool in determining the determinants of driver safety behavior. The results of the analysis show that the most dominant direct predictor in determining the safety behavior of motorcyclists in Jakarta is the intention to behave safely. While the indirect factor that determines is the attitude of the driver. The results of the analysis also show that the age of the driver has a significant influence on safety behavior.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat bertema “Edukasi Lansia untuk Penggunaan YouTubesebagai Sarana Hiburan dan Edukasi” bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital lansiadi Daerah Bekasi. Program ini dirancang untuk membantu lansia memahami penggunaanplatform YouTube sebagai media edukasi dan hiburan yang relevan, serta mengatasikendala dalam penggunaan teknologi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 18 Oktober 2024,diikuti oleh 42 lansia, dengan pendekatan terstruktur meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan,penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari80% peserta berhasil memahami dasar-dasar penggunaan perangkat digital dan aplikasiYouTube. Selain itu, kepercayaan diri lansia dalam menggunakan teknologi meningkatsignifikan, memungkinkan mereka untuk lebih mandiri dan aktif dalam mengaksesinformasi digital. Hambatan seperti perbedaan tingkat pemahaman, akses internet terbatas,dan kepercayaan diri rendah berhasil diatasi melalui pendekatan adaptif. Program inidiharapkan dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain untuk mempersempit kesenjangan digital dikalangan lansia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penerapan pengendalian mutu pada pekerjaan struktur beton bertulang dalam proyek pembangunan Gudang X di Kota Tangerang, Indonesia. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif yang didukung oleh analisis statistik untuk menilai konsistensi dan keandalan mutu beton serta baja tulangan yang digunakan dalam proyek. Metode statistik yang diterapkan meliputi distribusi frekuensi, perhitungan rata-rata (X̄), standar deviasi, dan koefisien variasi. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menggunakan teknik Statistical Process Control (SPC) dengan memanfaatkan peta kendali X̄ dan R untuk memantau dan mengevaluasi kestabilan proses mutu beton berdasarkan mutu rencana K-300, K-350, dan K-400. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai kuat tekan beton dan kuat tarik baja tulangan berada dalam batas kendali mutu yang dapat diterima. Nilai koefisien variasi sebesar 9,87% menempatkan mutu beton pada kategori terbaik sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan dalam SNI 03-6815-2002 untuk pengujian laboratorium. Grafik peta kendali menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar data berada dalam batas atas dan bawah kendali, dengan sedikit penyimpangan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa proses pengendalian mutu telah dilaksanakan secara konsisten dan terdokumentasi dengan baik pada setiap tahapan konstruksi, sehingga mendukung tercapainya kualitas struktur yang direncanakan secara optimal.

Abstract

Building Information Modelling (BIM) has emerged as a transformative methodology within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector, significantly changing the approach to project planning, execution, and management. This study presents a narrative literature review (NLR) of BIM, focusing on its theoretical foundations, implementation benefits, and the key barriers to its adoption. The objective is to identify and synthesize the core concepts that define BIM's maturity levels, level of development (LOD), and the use of a common data environment (CDE) within the construction industry. The literature search was conducted using Google Scholar, with keywords such as "Building Information Modelling," "BIM benefits," "BIM barriers," and "BIM theory." The findings indicate that BIM offers significant advantages in enhancing design quality, facilitating collaboration, improving cost estimation, promoting sustainability, and optimizing lifecycle management. However, its implementation faces challenges, including high initial investment, lack of skilled professionals, interoperability issues, and organizational resistance. A case study on a residential building project was also included to illustrate the practical application of 3D, 4D, and 5D BIM. This review concludes with recommendations to enhance BIM adoption through standardization, training, supportive policies, and promoting its role in sustainable construction. Abstract

Pembangunan infrastruktur di kawasan metropolitan seperti JABODETABEK membutuhkan dukungan data spasial yang akurat, salah satunya berupa peta topografi digital. Sayangnya, masih banyak lulusan SMK dan mahasiswa teknik yang belum menguasai keterampilan teknis seperti penggambaran kontur dengan AutoCAD dan analisis spasial menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Kesenjangan ini menjadi hambatan serius dalam menyiapkan tenaga kerja yang kompeten di bidang survei dan pemetaan. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi teknologi dan keterampilan pemetaan topografi digital bagi siswa SMK dan mahasiswa awal bidang teknik melalui pelatihan berbasis proyek. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan intensif selama dua hari dengan pendekatan praktik langsung, pretest–posttest, dan evaluasi proyek. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan kompetensi peserta, dengan rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 52,3 dan posttest meningkat menjadi 82,4. Sebanyak 90% peserta mengalami peningkatan skor ≥20 poin, dan 85% berhasil menyusun peta kontur dengan interval representatif serta mengintegrasikan data AutoCAD ke dalam platform SIG. Selain itu, mayoritas peserta menilai pelatihan sangat bermanfaat dan memberikan masukan untuk pelatihan lanjutan. Program ini terbukti efektif sebagai model intervensi strategis dalam menjembatani kesenjangan kompetensi lulusan pendidikan vokasi dengan kebutuhan industri pemetaan modern.

Abstract

Construction projects frequently experience discrepancies between planned schedules and actual implementation, resulting in delays and cost inefficiencies. Therefore, effective monitoring is needed to evaluate project performance and maintain alignment with planned time and budget targets. Objective: This study evaluates the time and cost performance of the Hanglekir Residential Housing Development Project using the Earned Value Management (EVM) approach. Methodology: This research employed a mixed-method case study design. Quantitative data were obtained from project documents, including cost budget plans, schedules, and progress reports, while qualitative data were collected through field observations and interviews. Project performance was analyzed using EVM indicators, namely Schedule Variance (SV), Cost Variance (CV), Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Cost Performance Index (CPI), and forecasting indicators such as Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate at Schedule (EAS). Findings: The results indicate that the project experienced schedule delays, as shown by SPI values consistently below 1. However, cost performance was relatively efficient in several periods, reflected by CPI values above 1. Forecasting results show that the final project cost is likely to remain below the initial budget, while the completion time is expected to slightly exceed the planned schedule. Implications: These findings demonstrate the importance of integrated project monitoring to improve time and cost control. Originality: This study provides empirical evidence of the practical application of EVM for evaluating both schedule and cost performance in a residential construction project.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology in the construction industry demands the improvement of workforce competencies, particularly in the field of digital construction. One of the technologies widely implemented in modern construction projects is Building Information Modeling (BIM), which enables integrated planning, design, and project management. However, the understanding and application of BIM among vocational high school (SMK) students, especially those majoring in Building Engineering, remain limited. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance students’ digital construction competencies through the introduction and implementation of BIM-based learning. The program was conducted through training sessions, software demonstrations, hands-on practice, and mentoring activities focused on basic BIM applications in building design and modeling. The results of the program indicate that students showed increased understanding and practical skills in operating BIM software, as well as improved awareness of digital transformation in the construction sector. Furthermore, the activity encouraged students to develop adaptive and industry-relevant competencies that support their readiness to enter the workforce. Therefore, the implementation of BIM-based training can serve as an effective strategy to improve digital construction competencies among vocational students in the Building Engineering department.

Abstract

Eggshell waste is an organic waste commonly generated from households, school canteens, restaurants, and food industries, yet its utilization remains limited. Eggshells contain calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), which has the potential to be used as a partial cement substitute in environmentally friendly construction materials. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of students at SMK Negeri 4 Kota Tangerang in utilizing eggshell waste as a mixture material for eco-concrete or eco-paving block production. The implementation method used a participatory approach, including preliminary observation, socialization of green technology concepts, training in processing eggshells into powder, product-making demonstrations, hands-on practice, discussion, documentation, and activity evaluation. The activity data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively based on observation results, participant responses, documentation, and evaluation of participants’ understanding. The results show that participants gained knowledge about green technology, organic waste management, eggshell processing stages, and the potential of eggshell powder as an alternative material for non-structural construction products. This activity contributes to increasing environmental awareness and strengthening students’ practical skills in processing waste into value-added materials. The originality of this activity lies in the integration of environmental education, appropriate technology, and practice-based learning in introducing eggshell powder-based eco-paving block innovation within vocational education.
