Abstract

The numerical pressure calculation has been calculated for the radially unstable fluid flow in a slightly compressible fluid, using fortran soft program and the results are interpreted in the form of a graph of the function of drainage radius and time. This paper also explains how to derive the pressure equation mathematically which fulfills the mass conservation principle, so the fluid continuity equation is obtained using radial / spherical coordinates and the diffusivity equation. By using the solution of the Ei function, the fluid flow in the radial direction of the porous media can be shown. This mathematical derivation is considered important because in unsteady state fluids, the time variable is very important to consider. It can be seen in the resulting graph, the pressure at the outer point has a maximum value then it will decrease as the drainage radius to the well decreases and with increasing time according to the nature of unsteady state flows.

Abstract

Abstract

Aims: This study aimed to increase the utilization of biomass-derived from the waste of coconut and peanut shells by making them as briquettes, as an alternative to fuel. The scarcity of petroleum because of its increasingly limited existence encourages all parties to take part in the development and discovery of new alternative energies. This is expected to overcome one of the most important of the many problems facing this country. The method used in this research is to start with a literature study of materials from various sources about the benefits and manufacturing of briquettes from biomass waste as an alternative energy source to be further tested for quality.  This involves a heat test, water content test, ash content test and determination of the flying matter. Results: The test results showed that natural gas emissions were below threshold, namely 0-30 ppm CO, 0-3.6 ppm H2S, and undetectable NOx. After evaluation, the results showed that with the addition of 30% of the biomass, the ignition time was reduced and the remaining unburned briquettes or bottom ash was reduced by 68.68%. Conclusion, significance, and impact of study: The results help the community and the parties involved related to appropriate bio briquettes technology. It also eventually becomes one of the solutions to assist the government in solving problems related to alternative fuels to petroleum.

Abstract

One of the issues facing the planet is energy. Energy's significant role influences numerous local economic activities in society. To prepare for growing fuel prices, cheap, accessible alternative fuel is required. The strategy employed for this community service is socialization and training, and it is done offline (face-to-face) while still paying attention to the health program. This PkM task is broken down into multiple steps. Planning comes first, followed by gathering equipment and supplies, making briquette samples, and finally, implementing the strategy. The activity found that approximately 15 housewives participated in this PkM activity. Providing information about the energy sources needed in Indonesia and their use is part of this PkM's work program. The community service projects that have been completed are anticipated to have a beneficial impact on society and the environment, mainly on the locals of Gili Sampang Kebon Jeruk. The training participants were quite proactive during the activity, which can be proven from several questions to make alternative energy fuels good and maximum that the community can utilize. The PkM team and participants created a mutual agreement that synergizes with each other to develop alternative energy sources in the form of fuels that benefit the community.
