Abstract

This community service program at SMK 26 Jakarta has the main aim of increasing students' understanding and readiness in facing the threat of earthquakes. With a focus on education about earthquake-resistant house materials, this program not only provides technical knowledge about safe construction, but also seeks to change student behavior in building an environment that is more resilient to earthquakes. Through collaboration between schools, local governments, disaster management institutions and the community, this program is expected to be able to create a real impact in increasing awareness of disaster risks and preparedness to face them. By encouraging active participation from all relevant parties, including students, this program emphasizes the importance of collaboration in preparing the people of Jakarta to face potential earthquake disasters. Thus, this service is not just about conveying information, but also about building a community that is aware of risks and prepared to act

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the application of the green building concept in two hospitals in Indonesia, namely Permata Keluarga Karawang Hospital and Dr. M. Ashari Pemalang Regional General Hospital (RSUD). Using descriptive qualitative methods and case study approaches, data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and measurements in the field. The results show that both hospitals have applied green building principles in various aspects such as energy efficiency, environmental management, and B3 waste management. Permata Keluarga Karawang Hospital excels in the use of energy-saving technology and waste management, while Dr. M. Ashari Pemalang Hospital stands out in staff involvement and environmental management. However, there are still several aspects that need to be improved by both hospitals, such as bicycle parking facilities and rainwater intake systems, to achieve more optimal green building standards. In conclusion, both hospitals have shown a strong commitment to environmental sustainability through the implementation of the green building concept, but further improvements are still needed to achieve more optimal results.

Abstract

Indonesia is a geologically active region prone to frequent seismic activity, where numerous significant earthquakes have led to extensive structural damage. Insights gained from both major and minor seismic events have contributed to the continuous refinement of seismic hazard maps and construction regulations in Indonesia (SNI). However, structural failures remain prevalent due to improper implementation of reinforced concrete detailing that does not adhere to established standards. This Community Engagement Program (PKM) aims to enhance students' understanding of earthquake-resistant reinforced concrete detailing at SMKN 26 Jakarta in accordance with SNI 2847:2019. This activity involves the dissemination of regulations related to earthquake-resistant concrete buildings, as well as case studies on building failures due to earthquakes. Evaluation through questionnaires revealed that the initiative effectively strengthened participants' knowledge of the essential role of precise concrete reinforcement detailing in ensuring structural resilience and safety. Through this initiative, students acquire essential knowledge and practical skills to address challenges in the construction industry, particularly in designing and constructing earthquake-resistant structures. This program plays a vital role in strengthening vocational education and equipping future professionals with the expertise needed to meet industry standards and safety regulations

Abstract

Construction projects often face cost and time constraints, while projects are required to be completed on schedule. To overcome these problems, an accurate management system is needed in a construction project to measure time performance, which refers to the progress of the work. By applying the earned value management (EVM) method, it is possible to project progress and weekly performance indices, making it easier to evaluate when there are deviations from the schedule. This study aims to analyze schedule variations and weekly time productivity, enabling the prediction of when the project will be completed. In the construction project of the Faculty of Law Building at Samratulangi University in North Sulawesi Province, reviews were conducted in weeks 1, 5, 10, 11, 20, and 25, where each review period had different CV, SV, and CPI values, allowing to assess at which time the predicted time was closest to the actual time occurring on-site.

Abstract

Currently, every building is required to have a Certificate of Occupancy [Sertifikat Laik Fungsi (SLF) in Indonesian). Existing buildings are obligated to undergo a structural evaluation as a prerequisite to obtaining the SLF. Conducting a structural assessment for relatively old buildings, with limited available documents and without non-destructive test (NDT) due to budget constraints, poses a significant challenge. This paper will present an example of the evaluation results of an existing 3-story structural steel building in Jakarta. An analytical model of the structural system, approximating the actual condition of the existing building, was created based solely on visual observations, field measurements, and very limited information. Evaluations were then conducted using 3 procedures: ASCE 41-17 Tier 1, Tier 2, and proportional seismic forces, to obtain an overview of the building structure's strength and information on which location would experience the first structural failure in the event of a severe earthquake. The evaluation results indicate that the ductility requirements of seismic force-resisting system members and the strength of beam-column joint connections cannot meet the expected acceptance criteria. Using the results of this evaluation, decisions can be made for the next steps, such as strengthening the structure, limiting use, or demolishing the existing building.

Abstract

The updates of the Indonesian seismic design code (SNI 1726) and the reinforced concrete design code (SNI 2847) have been applied in practice simultaneously. Based on these new codes, seismic loads generally increase, especially for low-rise buildings, and the reinforcement design requirements become much more stringent. Therefore, the construction industry predicts that there will be a significant increase in the need for reinforcing steel. This paper would like to describe the comparison of the design reinforcing steel weight in a 4-story reinforced concrete case study building with a special moment resisting frame system, which is designed using a combination of SNI 1726:2012 and SNI 2847:2013, and which is designed using a combination of SNI 1726:2019 and SNI 2847:2019. This study was found that the increase in reinforcing steel is not proportional to the increase in seismic load and much smaller. This result can then be an illustration of how much increase in design reinforcing steel when using the new codes.

Abstract

This paper presents SNI 6816:2025, a national standard developed to address the growing need for clarity, consistency, and technical reliability in the reinforcement detailing of reinforced concrete structures in Indonesia. For more than two decades, SNI 6816:2002 had served as the primary reference, but it no longer reflected advancements in structural design codes, particularly SNI 2847. In response, SNI 6816:2025 was formulated by adopting and adapting technical content from ACI MNL-66(20), while aligning with Indonesian practices and regulations, including reinforcement notations and material specifications from SNI 2052. The standard is structured in two main parts. The first part is a direct adoption of ACI 315R-18, covering the principles of presenting reinforcement details. The second part contains 109 reinforcement details for key structural elements—slabs, beams, columns, walls, foundations, and slabs-on-ground—supported by clear illustrations and notes referencing the relevant clauses in SNI 2847. Additional appendices provide practical design tables and source references. All imperial units have been converted to SI units through hard conversion, and all numerical values recalculated to meet national requirements.SNI 6816:2025 is intended not only as a technical reference but as a standardization tool to support more accurate, coordinated, and verifiable reinforcement detailing practices. Its implementation is expected to enhance communication among engineers, detailers, and contractors, reduce errors in construction drawings, and promote higher-quality outcomes in structural concrete projects throughout Indonesia.

Abstract

Construction productivity, particularly in column reinforcement, is significantly influenced by labor as a key project component. Variations in labor coefficients determine efficiency in time, cost, and work quality, necessitating empirical analysis of their impact on productivity. This study examines the relationship between labor coefficients and column reinforcement productivity to improve construction project management efficiency. Using a quantitative approach with purposive sampling, 33 observation data were collected through field measurements and questionnaires from workers and foremen. Simple linear regression was applied to test labor coefficient significance, with results compared against PUPR Ministerial Regulation No. 8 of 2023 standards. Analysis revealed that field labor coefficients significantly affect column reinforcement productivity (p < 0.001), demonstrating that optimal labor utilization increases productivity. The comparison with ministerial standards evaluated field condition conformity with official provisions. The research hypothesis confirming significant influence between field labor coefficients and column reinforcement productivity was accepted, providing valuable insights for construction management practices.
