Abstract

Reality shows that there are problems in education sociology lecturing process. Amount of discussion about social interaction in sociology education is expected in Higher Education Level, namely social interaction between lecturers and students and between students and students. This study discusses about the role of lecturers in developing material to improve social interaction, developing verbal and written communication through communication media, the role of lecturers in developing sosial interaction at education sociology lecturing process. This study uses qualitative method. Data are collected by participatory observation, in-depth interviews and documentation techniques. Analysis techniques use data analysis in sites and cross sites. The results show that lecturers develop materials to improve student social interaction, lecturers develop verbal or written communication through discussions related to constraints students, and evaluating through paper assignments, journal making and directing students to the community.

Abstract

Father involvement on child rearing is very important on child development. It contains of self-accomplishment on physic, cognition, and affection aspect. Father’s age and salary are important factors which connect to the quality of father involvement on child rearing. This research purpose is to know whether there is a correlation between father’s age and salary with the level of father involvement on child rearing. This research method is quantitative. There 60 fathers involved in this research as a subject. The statistic correlation technique for data analyzing is chi-square. The result shows that there is a correlation between father’s age with the level of father involvement on child rearing. And there is no correlation between father’s salary with the level of father involvement on child rearing. Keywords: involvement, father, child rearing

Abstract

There are many phenomena of gadget users nowadays ranging from children to adults, if the use of gadgets is not controlled properly it will cause cases of cyberbullying, which will make teenagers in the future more vulnerable to bullying in cyberspace. This research was encouraged because there was data on an increase in cyberbullying from field data and news. The purpose of this study was to obtain correct information, to determine the effect of self-control on adolescent cyberbullying, the sample of this study was adolescents aged 13-18 years with a total of 384 respondents. The research measurement tools are the self-control scale and the cyberbullying scale. This study uses a comparative causal quantitative with a simple regression analysis technique using SPSS 23 For Windows. Based on the research results, it is known that there is a significant influence between self-control and cyberbullying with a value of p = 0.000 <0.05, with a value of R = 0.287.

Abstract

Overseas students are students who study in a different place from their place of origin. Overseas students tend to face more serious problems than non-overseas students and also different psychological pressures, one of which is academic stress. Meanwhile, hardiness is needed to minimize academic stress on overseas students. This study aims to determine the effect of hardiness on academic stress in overseas students. This research was conducted on overseas students of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah class of 2019 until 2022. The number of samples in this study was 384 respondents. This research is research using quantitative methods with a comparative causal approach. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique. Meanwhile, the data collection used in this study used a hardiness scale and an academic stress scale which were tested by validity and reliability tests. The data analysis technique in this study used simple regression assisted by SPSS V 22. From the research results obtained by the researcher, it is known that the results of the regression are p = 0.001 which is symbolized by p <0.05 and the R Square value is 0.27 or 2, 7%. The results in this study indicate that the hypothesis that has been proposed is accepted, namely that there is an effect of hardiness on academic stress in UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung overseas students with a negative significance direction.

Abstract

The COVID-19 outbreak has had a tremendous impact, including the number of health workers who died due to exposure to COVID-19. This causes the need for personnel to deal with COVID-19, both medically and non-medically, to increase. These conditions make some people want to contribute and decide to become volunteers. Becoming a volunteer cannot be separated from prosocial behavior, where several factors also influence prosocial behavior. This research aims to look at several factors that influence prosocial behavior. This research used six independent variables: social support, empathy, altruism, cooperation, dyadic coping, and volunteerism, and one dependent variable, prosocial behavior. The approach used is quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis. The population of this study was all 32 members of the LDP Tagana COVID-19 Team at the Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung State Islamic University Flats. All members of the population were involved in this research. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The data collection instrument uses a Likert scale with four answer choices. As for the results, there is a significant influence both simultaneously and partially. Simultaneously, the influence given was 63.9%, while the rest was explained by other variables not examined in this research. This research shows that prosocial behavior can be formed by the factors used in this research. It is very possible that prosocial behavior can be shaped by other variables not examined in this research.

Abstract

Ma’had al Jami’ah adalah suatu bentuk wadah edukasi berbasis keagamaan yang menjadi tempat bagi mahasiswa Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri (PTKIN) untuk belajar dan meningkatkan pemahaman agama. Yang merupakan bagian dari kebijakan pemerintah Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia. Lembaga pendidikan ma’had al jami’ah memiliki tujuan sebagai wadah untuk terciptanya mahasiswa berkepribadian muslim, beriman kuat, berwawasan inklusif, moderat dan berakhlak mulia. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis bagaimana penyesuaian diri mempengaruhi motivasi belajar mahasantri. Teknik penelitian kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Mahasantri dari Ma’had Al Jami’ah Universitas Islam Negeri Ma'had Al Jami'ah Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah dijadikan sebagai responden dalam penelitian ini. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji hipotesis t memiliki nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,001 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Koefisien korelasi (R) adalah 0,456, dan Rsquare adalah 0,208 atau 20,8%, menunjukkan bahwa penyesuaian diri memiliki pengaruh 20,8% terhadap motivasi belajar. Terlihat jelas bahwa variabel penyesuaian diri dan variabel motivasi belajar dipengaruhi satu sama lain. Hal tersebut akhirnya membuat proses penyesuaian diri yang beragam dari masing-masing mahasantri. Artinya mahasantri lebih termotivasi untuk belajar ketika mereka memiliki tingkat penyesuaian diri yang lebih besar. Dan sebaliknya jika motivasi belajar semakin kecil maka semakin rendah pula penyesuaian diri

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of self-adjustment on learning motivation of Ma'had Al Jami'ah mahasantri Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah State Islamic University Tulungagung with a causal comparative quantitative approach. The results of the analysis show the significance value of the t test is 0.001 (<0.05), which indicates a significant influence between self-adjustment and learning motivation. The correlation coefficient (R) of 0.456 indicates a moderate relationship between the two variables, while the coefficient of determination (R²) of 20.8% indicates that self-adjustment exerts an influence of 20.8% on learning motivation. That is, the better the self-adjustment of a mahasantri, the higher the learning motivation. This study concludes that good self-adjustment can increase students' learning motivation in Ma'had Al Jami'ah.

Abstract

Masa tumbuh kembang anak adalah masa yang sangat beresiko bagi setiap kehidupan anak, maka sangat penting untuk memperhatikan semua aspek yang mendukung dan yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan. Kegiatan psikoedukasi merupakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang ditujukan untuk memberikan pemahaman orang tua agar memahami cara mendidik dan mempersiapkan sebelum masuk sekolah. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan menggunakan metode Parcipatory Action Research atau PAR yang bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah dalam pembelajaran dan pemenuhan kebutuhan praktis masyarakat serta produksi ilmu pengetahuan. Kegiatan psikoedukasi terdiri dari pembukaan, pemaparan materi oleh narasumber dan diskusi interaktif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme masyarakat yang ingin mengetahui pola asuh anak untuk persiapan bersekolah. Orang tua menjadi tahu cara menyiapkan anaknya sebelum bersekolah dari beberapa aspek meliputi aspek mental, emosional, kognitif, social dan seterusnya. Seusai kegiatan itu, orang tua mengimplementasikan pengetahuan yang diperoleh dalam mempersiapkan anak pasca masuk sekolah.

Abstract

Forgiveness is turning negative things into positive ones for someone who has caused pain to themselves. Forgiveness can be applied to improve the quality of life and maintain psychological well-being by avoiding harboring excessive anger and disappointment. Based on previous research, it is stated that forgiveness can make individuals feel well-being in their lives, away from feelings of revenge and disappointment. In contrast, one of the factors that can influence forgiveness is self-compassion. This research was conducted to scientifically examine the relationship between self-compassion and forgiveness in teenage victims of divorce in Indramayu. The sample used was 350 teenagers with divorced parents and was taken using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments for collecting data in this research used self-compassion and forgiveness scales. Data analysis uses Pearson product moment correlation analysis. The results of data analysis show a correlation coefficient of 0.511 with a value of p = 0.000 (p<0.05), which shows a significant relationship between self-compassion and forgiveness in teenage divorce victims in Indramayu and has a positive relationship direction.
