Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) which aims to find out whether the application of a collaborative learning model accompanied by a quantum learning strategy can improve student learning outcomes in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Satap Balla. The subjects of this study were class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Satap Balla in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 school year with a total of 24 students, with details of 15 male students and 9 female students. Cycle I and cycle II were held in four meetings each including giving tests. Data collection was carried out using student learning outcomes tests at the end of each cycle, and observations at each meeting. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that in the first cycle the average value was 68.33 with the completeness of class 9 students (37.5%), and the average in the second cycle was 86.66 with the completeness of the class of 21 students (87.5%) . It can be concluded that the application of a collaborative learning model accompanied by a quantum learning strategy can improve learning outcomes in class VIII Biology at SMP Negeri 2 Satap Balla.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the abundance and density of sea cucumbers (Holothuroidea) in the intertidal zone of Lau-Lau Village Coastal Waters, Aru Islands Regency. The research consisted of two phases: implementation and identification. The method used was the transect quadrat method (systematic random sampling) with a size of 2x2 meters. Data were calculated and presented in tabular form. Abundance and density were measured at each station. The results indicated that the distance between the shoreline and the transect line was 20 meters. A total of six sea cucumber species were found out of the 60 species recorded in Indonesia. The identified species were Stichopus ocellatus, Holothuria scabra, Bohadschia marmorata, Bohadschia vitiensis, Stichopus monotuberculatus, and Actinopyga lecanora. The highest abundance was found in Holothuria scabra with a total of 64 individuals, while the lowest was in Actinopyga lecanora with only 1 individual. The highest density was also observed in Holothuria scabra, at 0.92 individuals/m², whereas the lowest was in Actinopyga lecanora, with a density of 0.02 individuals/m². ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kelimpahan dan kepadatan teripang (Holothuroidea) di zona intertidal di Perairan Pantai Desa Lau-Lau Kabupaten Kepulauan Aru. Penelitian ini memiliki dua tahapan yaitu tahapan pelaksanaan dan tahapan identifikasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuadrat transek atau (systematic random) berukuram 2x2 meter. Data dikalkulasi dan disajikan dalam tabel. Kelimpahan dan Kepadatan dihitung pada masing-masing stasiun. Hasil yang ditemukan yaitu jarak antara garis pantai sejajar transek yaitu 20 meter. Jenis teripang yang ditemukan ada 6 spesies dari 60 spesies yang ada di Indonesia. Jenis teripang yang ditemukan yaitu Stichopus ocellatus, Holothuria scabra, Bohadschia marmorata, Bohadschia Vitiensis, Stichopus monotuberculatus dan Actinopyga lecanora. Kelimpahan tertinggi terdapat pada jenis teripang Holothuria scabra dengan total 64 individu, sedangkan kelimpahan terendah terdapat pada jenis teripang Actinopyga lecanora dengan total 1 individu. Kepadatan tertinggi terdapat pada jenis teripang Holothuria scabra dengan jumlah kepadatan 0,92 ( 1 ekor/m² ) dan kepadatan terendah terdapat pada jenis teripang Actinopyga lecanora dengan jumlah kepadatan 0,02 ( 0 ekor/m² ).

Abstract

Stingless bee honey (Meliponini) is a natural product with strategic value in the functional food and health industries due to its unique bioactive compound content. However, variations in honey composition based on nectar sources in Indonesia, have not been thoroughly documented. This study aims to analyze the differences in moisture content, total sugars, polyphenols, antioxidant activity, and antimicrobial properties of stingless bee honey derived from different nectar sources. Honey samples were obtained from three distinct vegetative sources: acacia, rambutan, and longan nectars. Laboratory analyses were conducted using standard methods, including spectrophotometry for measuring sugar and polyphenol contents, DPPH assay for antioxidant activity, and disc diffusion method for antimicrobial testing. The results showed that honey from rambutan nectar had the lowest moisture content (23.5% ±1.2), the highest polyphenol content (356 ±21 mg GAE/100g), and the strongest antioxidant activity (IC50 12.4 mg/mL). In addition, this honey also demonstrated antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus with an inhibition zone of 14.2 ±1.5 mm. These findings indicate that nectar source plays a crucial role in determining honey quality, and may serve as a foundation for the development of high-value honey products based on local floral biodiversity.

Abstract

This research aims to increase motivation and learning outcomes in Biology science learning, ecosystem balance material in class VII at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Kalukuang. This research method is included in the one shot case study where the researcher carries out the treatment once. The sample in this study was 20 students. The research results include; 1) student learning motivation can be seen from the distribution of student learning activities where after the post test or after treatment using Canva learning media there has been an increase of 84% from the previous 62.5%, 2) student learning outcomes in the pre test there are 7 students who have met teaching completion criteria and as many as 13 students did not meet the teaching completion criteria, while in the post test or after treatment using Canva media there were 16 students who met the teaching completion criteria and 4 students who did not. Based on the description of the results obtained above, it can be concluded that the learning media using the Canva application is effectively used as a medium for science learning at MI DDI Kalukuang. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar pada pembelajaran IPA Biologi materi keseimbangan ekosistem di kelas VI di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Kalukuang. Metode penelitian ini termasuk dalam one shot case study dimana peneliti mengadakan perlakuan sebanyak satu kali. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 20 orang siswa. Adapun hasil penelitian diantaranya yaitu; 1) motivasi belajar siswa dapat dilihat dari distribusi aktivitas belajar siswa dimana setelah post test atau setelah perlakuan menggunakan media pembelajaran canva mengalami peningkatan sebesar 84% dari sebelumnya sebesar 62,5%, 2) hasil belajar siswa pada pre test terdapat 7 siswa yang telah memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan mengajar dan sebanyak 13 siswa yang belum memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan mengajar, sedangkan pada post test atau setelah perlakuan menggunakan media canva terdapat 16 siswa yang telah memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan mengajar dan sebanyak 4 siswa yang belum memenuhi. Berdasarkan uraian perolehan hasil diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi canva efektif digunakan sebagai media dalam pembelajaran IPA di MI DDI Kalukuang.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing management or classroom management on Biology Science learning outcomes at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah DDI Kalukuang. The specifications of this research are quantitative in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest. The sample used was a saturated sample with a class V population of 27 students. Data collection was carried out through observation, tests and documentation. The collected data was analyzed by means of descriptive data analysis in the form of explanations of research results and inferential data analysis in the form of tables, graphs or images. Based on the research results, it shows that the normality test results are greater than the significant level, namely 0.05 > 0.185 in the pretest and 0.142 > 0.05 in the posttest, while the t-test results are smaller than the significant level, namely 0.0098 < 0.05, so It can be concluded that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that management or classroom management can influence effectiveness in learning Biology Science. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas dari penerapan pengelolaan atau manajemen kelas terhadap hasil pembelajaran IPA Biologi di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah DDI Kalukuang. Spesifikasi dari penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dalam bentuk One Group Pretest-Postest. Adapun sampel yang digunakan yaitu sampel jenuh dengan populasi kelas V sebanyak 27 orang siswa. Pengambilan data dilakukan secara observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan cara analisis data deskriptif dalam bentuk penjelasan hasil penelitian dan analisis data inferensial dalam bentuk tabel, grafik atau gambar.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari hasil uji normalitas lebih besar dari taraf signifikan yaitu 0,05 > 0,185 pada pretest dan sebesar 0,142 > 0,05 pada posttest sedangkan hasil uji-t lebih kecil dari taraf signifikan yaitu 0,0098 < 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima yang berarti bahwa pengelolaan atau manajemen kelas dapat memberikan pengaruh efektivitas dalam pembelajaran IPA Biologi.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the condition of the river ecosystem based on the Gastropod diversity index value. The research was conducted at two stations. The data collection method is simple random sampling. Data analysis used the Shannon – Weaver diversity index (H'). The research results obtained five Gastropod species, namely Pila ampulacea., Pomacea canaliculata, Sulcospira testudinaria, Lymnaea rubiginosa, and Indoplanornis exustus. The highest number of gastropods was found at Station A, consisting of four species and four families. The species most commonly found at station A is Pila ampulacea. and the least numerous species is Lymnaea rubiginosa. Station B consists of five species and five families. There are two species most commonly found, namely Filopaludina sp. and Indoplanorbis exustus while the least frequently found species was Sulcospira testudinaria. The diversity index is at station A and B is classified as medium. The index value shows that river conditions can be said to be quite stable. Indoplanorbis exustus was found at station B, so further research is needed regarding this snail as a vector of parasites and what impact it will have. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kondisi ekosistem Sungai berdasarkan nilai indeks keanekaragaman Gastropoda. Penelitian dilakukan pada dua stasiun. Metode pengumpulan data yaitu random sampling sederhana. Analisis data menggunakan indeks keanekaragaman Shannon – Weaver (H’). Hasil penelitian diperoleh lima spesies Gastropoda yaitu Pila ampulacea., Pomacea canaliculata, Sulcospira testudinaria, Lymnaea rubiginosa, dan Indoplanornis exustus. Jumlah gastropoda paling banyak ditemukan di Stasiun A yang terdiri dari empat spesies dan empat famili. Spesies yang paling banyak ditemukan di stasiun A adalah Pila ampulacea. dan spesies yang paling sedikit adalah Lymnaea rubiginosa. Stasiun B terdiri dari lima spesies dan lima famili. Spesies yang paling banyak ditemukan ada dua jenis yaitu Pila ampulacea dan Indoplanorbis exustus sedangkan spesies yang paling sedikit ditemukan adalah Sulcospira testudinaria. Indeks keanekaragaman pada stasiun A dan B tergolong sedang. Nilai indeks menunjukkan kondisi sungai dapat dikatakan cukup stabil. Indoplanorbis exustus ditemukan di stasiun B, sehingga perlu penelitian lanjutan mengenai siput ini sebagai vektor parasite jenis apa dan dampak yang akan ditimbulkan.

Abstract

This research aims to improve creativity and student learning outcomes in the science teaching and learning process in class VIII of SMP Nasional Makassar through the implementation of the inquiry training learning model and individual learning approach. The inquiry training learning model is a series of learning activities that emphasize critical and analytical thinking processes to independently search for and find answers to questioned problems. It teaches students the process of investigation and seeking explanations about rare phenomena. The subjects in this study were 22 students of class VIII. Research data for science learning outcomes were obtained through evaluation tests from learning cycles 1 and II. The results showed that implementing the inquiry training learning model and individual learning approach can improve science learning outcomes in class VIII. This is indicated by the increase in student scores from cycle 1 to cycle II. In cycle 1, there were 9 students who achieved the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM) or 40.9%, and 13 students who had not yet achieved it or 59.1%, while in cycle II, there were 20 students who achieved the KKM or 90.9%, and 2 students who had not yet achieved it or 9.1%. From this data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of the inquiry training learning model and individual learning approach can improve science learning outcomes in class VIII of SMP Nasional Makassar. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu untuk meningkatkan kreativitas dan hasil belajar siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar IPA pada kelas VIII SMP Nasional Makassar melalui penerapan model pembelajaran inquiri training dan pendekatan belajar individual. Model pembelajaran inquiry training adalah rangkaian kegiatan pembelajaran yang menekankan pada proses berpikir secara kritis dan analitis untuk mencari dan menemukan sendiri jawaban dari suatu masalah yang dipertanyakan. Mengajarkan siswa proses penyelidikan dan mencari penjelasan tentang fenomena yang jarang terjadi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 22 siswa. Data penelitian untuk hasil belajar IPA diperoleh melalui tes evaluasi dari pembelajaran siklus 1 dan II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inquiri traning dan pendekatan belajar individual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA pada kelas VIII. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan nilai siswa dari siklus 1 dan siklus II. Pada siklus 1 terdapat 9 siswa yang tuntas dalam KKM atau sebesar 40,9% dan yang belum tuntas terdapat 13 siswa atau sebesar 59.1%, sedangkan pada siklus II terdapat 20 siswa yang tuntas dalam KKM atau sebesar 90,9% dan yang belum tuntas dalam belajar terdapat 2 siswa atau sebesar 9,1%. Dari analisis data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran inquiri training dan pendekatan belajar individual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA pada kelas VIII SMP Nasional Makassar.
