Abstract

Abstract. This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the learning outcomes of class X IPA SMA Satria Makassar through the use of Guided Note Taking (GNT) learning models. The subjects of this study were students of class X IPA SMA Satria Makassar for the odd semester in academic year 2018/2019 which consists of 20 students. The data collection techniques include learning activity data obtained through observation sheets and data on student biology learning outcomes obtained using student biology learning outcomes tests which are then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of observations of student learning activities showed generally an increase from cycle I to cycle II in each student learning activity observed. The results of quantitative descriptive statistical analysis of the students' biology learning outcomes indicate that the average student learning outcomes in the first cycle were 54.0% and in the second cycle were 78.7%. so that the percentage obtained increase in student biology learning outcomes  by 24.7%. Abstract

Abstract. This research is a classroom action research which aims to improve the learning outcomes of seventh grade students of SMP Tunas Bangsa Makassar through the use of the Reading Guide Learning Strategy with Student Worksheet Media (LKS). The subjects of this study were the seventh-grade students of SMP Tunas Bangsa Makassar which consisted of 26 students. Data collection techniques include learning activity data obtained through observation sheets and student biology learning outcomes data obtained using student biology learning outcomes tests which are then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of observations of student learning activities show that in general there has been an increase from cycle I to cycle II in each observed student learning activity. The results of quantitative descriptive statistical analysis of students' biology learning outcomes showed that the average student learning outcomes in the first cycle was 75,19 and in the second cycle was 79,23 so that the percentage increase in student biology learning outcomes is obtained by 4,04. Keywords: Reading Guide, LKS and Learning Outcomes

Abstract.  This research is a quasi-experimental research that aims to determine the Differences in Student Learning Outcomes of Biology Education STKIP Indonesian Development based on Gender Differences through the       Thisresearch is a quasi-experimental research that aims to determine the positive effect of Think Pair Share (TPS) Cooperative Learning Models on the Motivation and Learning Outcomes of Biology Education Students STKIP Indonesia Makassar Development. The subjects of this study were students of VIE class as experimental class and VID class as control class with 25 students each. The instruments used in this study were motivation questionnaires and student biology learning outcomes tests. Data were obtained through two instruments, namely learning motivation questionnaire and learning outcome test. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis of the motivation value of the control class average value is on a scale of 4.08 with good category and the experimental class the average value is on a scale of 4.30 with a very good category. The results of descriptive analysis of the value of the learning outcomes of the control class an average value of 70.56 and the experimental class the average value of 79.04. The results of hypothesis testing are obtained by Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.001 <α = 0.05, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This shows that there is a positive influence on the application of Cooperative Learning Model Type Think Pair Share (TPS) to the learning outcomes of biological education students in STKIP Pembangunan Indonesia Makassar. Keywords: TPS cooperative learning model, motivation, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract. This research is a classroom action research (Classroom Action Research) which aims to determine the improvement of students” biology learning outcomes through the Problem Basied Learning (PBL) Learning Model combined with the Snowball Throwing Learning Method. The subjects of this study were 25 students of class VIII SMP YP-PGRI 4 Makassar. Data collection techniques were carried out using learning activity data obtained through observation sheets and learning outcomes data obtained through biology learning outcomes test which were then analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive statistical analysis techniques. Based on the results of data analysis that has been carried out, it can be seen that there is an increase in biology learning outcomes for students of class VIII SMP YP-PGRI 4 Makassar who are taught through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model combined with the Snowball Throwing Learning Method which can be seen from the average value of the results, leraning in the first cycle that is 68,8 to 82,8 in the second cycle. Keywords: problem based learning, snowball throwing, learning outcomes

Abstract

Learning motivation is a very influential aspect in improving student learning outcomes. The success of the teaching and learning process cannot be separated from the role of a teacher in motivating at the beginning of learning. The purpose of this research is to explore the role of peer interaction and learning motivation in enhancing students' social literacy within the educational environment, particularly at the elementary school level. The research method employed in this study is a qualitative approach, which emphasizes understanding social phenomena from the perspectives of the participants involved. The implementation of this Community Service activity focuses on providing literacy activities and the importance of peer interaction on student learning motivation, whose implementation is centered at Minasa Upa State Elementary School Makassar. This research activity greatly helped participants of this activity because participants gained additional knowledge related to literacy, the importance of peer interaction on student learning motivation, Peers and Learning Motivation: The Key to Social Literacy in the Education Space.

Abstract

Stingless bee honey (Meliponini) is a natural product with strategic value in the functional food and health industries due to its unique bioactive compound content. However, variations in honey composition based on nectar sources in Indonesia, have not been thoroughly documented. This study aims to analyze the differences in moisture content, total sugars, polyphenols, antioxidant activity, and antimicrobial properties of stingless bee honey derived from different nectar sources. Honey samples were obtained from three distinct vegetative sources: acacia, rambutan, and longan nectars. Laboratory analyses were conducted using standard methods, including spectrophotometry for measuring sugar and polyphenol contents, DPPH assay for antioxidant activity, and disc diffusion method for antimicrobial testing. The results showed that honey from rambutan nectar had the lowest moisture content (23.5% ±1.2), the highest polyphenol content (356 ±21 mg GAE/100g), and the strongest antioxidant activity (IC50 12.4 mg/mL). In addition, this honey also demonstrated antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus with an inhibition zone of 14.2 ±1.5 mm. These findings indicate that nectar source plays a crucial role in determining honey quality, and may serve as a foundation for the development of high-value honey products based on local floral biodiversity.

Abstract

This type of research is experimental research with a research design in the form of a pretest-posttest control group design. The objectives of carrying out this research are (1) to find out the description of the biology learning outcomes of students who are taught using the Learning Cycle model, (2) to find out the description of the biology learning outcomes of students who are taught without the Learning Cycle model, (3) to find out the differences in the biology learning outcomes of students who are taught with the Learning Cycle model. Learning Cycle with students taught without the Learning Cycle model. The independent variable in this research is the Learning Cycle learning model and the dependent variable is student biology learning outcomes. The subjects in this research were 38 students in class X IPA1 and X IPA2 at SMA Negeri 1 Gowa. The data collection technique in this research is by using students' biology learning outcomes tests. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique is by using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques.
