Abstract

The quantity and quality of coal affects the efficiency of the generating unit, therefore the utilization of Transfer Conveyor 17A is very necessary to fulfill the fuel requirement (coal) of PT Indonesia Power Unit Generation Unit Suralaya. Transfer conveyor is an additional element in a conveyor belt circuit that serves to channel coal from unloading area until coal bunker (power plant). This study aims to find out the value of OEE Transfer Conveyor 17A which is used as the basis of proposed improvement based on the lowest value of the three parameters in OEE. The concept of research adopting OEE method with the value of quality is assumed 97,50% because the equipment that becomes the object of research does not produce the product. The result of calculation obtained by OEE value equal to 82,98% with ratio Availability 86,76% Performance Eficiency 98,09% and Rate of Quality 97,50%. A planned maintenance action is required to avoid unpredictable engine damage such as the operator checking the machine before it is operated, providing periodic training to operators and maintenance to improve their capabilities.

Abstract

Cilegon City is an area that has a high level of vulnerability to various disasters, including natural disasters. Natural disasters are events that are natural and have the potential to cause damage and destruction to the environment, with impacts in the form of loss of life, material loss, and damage to infrastructure that has been developed over some time. Based on the Cilegon City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), flooding is a frequent natural disaster in Cilegon City. This research aims to identify the factors that cause flooding in the Jombang Subdistrict area. The research stages are observation, data collection, data processing with the causal loop diagram approach, data validation, data analysis, and conclusion. The results of the analysis show that the main factors causing flooding in Jombang Subdistrict are the intensity of rainfall, small drainage, and the small number of absorption wells. The consequences caused by floods are property damage, the spread of disease, economic losses, environmental damage, infrastructure disruption, and social disruption. Therefore, the solution to flooding in Jombang Subdistrict is to expand drainage, add the number of absorption wells, provide education to the community about environmentally friendly behavior, and green the environment. Abstract

Global demand for processed seaweed products, including gelatin, continues to increase. In 2018, the total global demand for carrageenan was estimated at USD 275,188,000, an increase of 4.9% from the previous year, and the total global demand for carrageenan was recorded at USD 1,131,820,000, an increase of 8.4% from the previous year. This research aims to create a tool that can accelerate seaweed drying time. The result of this research is the design of a seaweed stingo uno prototype. Seaweed Stingo Uno is a system designed with the aim of speeding up seaweed production time. The production time that will be accelerated is the drying time. This system is integrated with the ability to produce electrical energy naturally using solar panels. This integration functions so that the tool can work without having to use conventional electrical energy. The hope is that the tools developed can be applied both in small-scale and large-scale industries in seaweed production. Future research can carry out tool testing in the laboratory and field to obtain valid and reliable tools. Keywords: Drying Equipment, Seaweed, System Modeling

Abstract

The development of industries linked to population growth in Indonesia has led to increased waste production, particularly in terms of wastewater. This research examines the wastewater management system at PT. Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (CAP), emphasizes the importance of waste treatment to prevent environmental pollution and maintain ecosystem sustainability. Through literature review methods, field studies, and the utilization of a simulation model employing Causal Loop Diagrams (CLD), this study evaluates the impact of industrial wastewater management on the environment and society. The research findings identify wastewater treatment processes at CAP, including the Neutralization Pit, Oil Separator, Dust Filter, and Dust Trap, along with regular inspections to ensure that water quality meets the established standards. Abstract

Penggunaan alat pengiris pisang manual berdampak pada tingkat produksi yang rendah, hasil irisan yang beragam dan berpotensi terjadinya kecelakaan kerja terkait tangan tersayat irisan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain alat pengiris pisang untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan safety pekerja. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan cara wawancara dengan mitra terkait permasalahan proses produksi. Perancangan alat menggunakan House of Quality berdasarkan masukan dari responden dan expert sebagai dasar pegembangan alat. Tahap evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengukur kinerja rancangan alat. Pengembangan alat bantu pengiris pisang difokuskan pada dua hal sesuai hasil respon teknis dalam HoQ yaitu kualitas pisau dan bahan alat dari stainless steel. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan produktivitas dalam pembuatan keripik pisang yaitu proses tiga kali lebih cepat, tenaga kerja lebih sedikit dan hasil irisan yang lebih seragam. Penggunaan alat bantu pengiris juga dapat meminimalkan kemungkinan tangan tersayat pada saat proses pengirisan.

Abstract

This article presents the findings of a study on the analysis of the dinamis system in tahu production in Cilegon, Indonesia, with an emphasis on the importance of small and medium-sized businesses (UKM) in the food industry.The primary goal of this research is to understand the factors that affect production efficiency, product quality, and keberlanjutan in the tahu industry. The methodology used in this study involves gathering data through silent observation, observation of industrial activities, and relevant literature reviews. Based on the collected data, the researcher created a causal loop diagram (CLD), which illustrates the complex relationship between the variables, such as the price of goods, market demand, and production process supply

Abstract

Pejaten Village in Kramatwatu Sub-district faces a major challenge in household waste management with an ever-increasing volume of waste that could reach 300.73 tons per month by 2024. This increase is influenced by rapid population growth and low public awareness of the negative impacts of littering. The habit of disposing of waste in open areas and the lack of understanding about the importance of good waste management exacerbate the condition. This study aims to identify the main factors that cause high waste generation using the Causal Loop Diagram (CLD) approach. This approach allows mapping the cause-and-effect relationships of various variables that contribute to the problem, including unsustainable consumption patterns, limited waste management facilities, and low public awareness of environmental hygiene. The results show a complex interrelationship between environmental quality, availability of transport fleets, and community awareness. This research confirms the need for more structured and sustainable intervention measures in waste management, such as community education on the importance of sorting waste, improving waste management facilities, and optimizing the waste transportation system. It is hoped that these efforts can produce effective solutions to reduce the volume of waste, improve the quality of the environment in Pejaten Village, and build collective awareness of shared responsibility in maintaining environmental cleanliness.

Abstract

High lead time processing of acrylic resins leads to the production of products to consumer undergoes and high-production costs. This study aims to reduce lead time by analyzing various activities that have value-added, non-value-added, and necessary non-value-added. The research is conducted using lean manufacturing approaches on acrylic resin production processes. The analysis shows that the activity of delay and transportation is a contributor of waste that occurs in the production process of acrylic resins. Improvements by minimizing both activities in the are thining tank, reactor, and monomer tank can increase the efficiency of the production process. The improvement results show a decrease in lead time from 1298 minutes to 1075 minutes. This study demonstrates that lean manufacturing can improve the time process efficiency of 17.18%, which means the output ratio will increase by around 17.18% in a process.
