Abstract

The problem that occurs at this time is that the production process is often hampered and does not reach the set targets because the Rolling Stand 3 (mill section) machines are often damaged. Rolling Stand 3 machine (section mill) is used to form steel with a grinding process (rolling). The study was conducted using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method where Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is a systematic method for measuring the level of machine effectiveness. Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) calculations can be gauged from actual data related to Availability, Performance Rate, and Quality Rate. Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is used as an indicator, to find out the causes of machine ineffectiveness done by calculating Six Big Losses to find out what factors influence the Six Big Losses. Based on the research results for the period January - December 2015 on Rolling Stand 3 (mill section) machines, the Availability value was 55.77%, Performance Rate 60.05%, Quality Rate 97.82% and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) was 32.86 %, meaning Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) below the standard value for world-class, which is 85%. To maximize overall machine effectiveness, improvements are needed to the factors that influence the low amount of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). When viewed from the six elements Six Big Losses, the greatest value is found in the Equipment Failure factor.

Abstract

The success of the project can be judged by the timeliness of the planned target. The problem in the highway project is in the difference between cross drainage age implementation and the age of the project plan that has been set, so that, the project becomes not timely. This research aims to evaluate the critical path of cross drainage project, and what improvements are appropriate in the framework of project acceleration. The Critical Path Method (CPM) method is used to determine the critical path of the cross drainage project activity, from which critical path will be analyzed by using the Fishbone Diagram. Furthermore, borda technique is used to determine the appropriate improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Pulper machines. The research was conducted using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness method. The research conducted at a company engaged in the Pulp & Paper field. Data collected by interviews and conducting direct observations in the area during February 2017. Based on the research, it can conclude that the Pulley OEE value was obtained by 77.31% with the main factor causing damage was Broken Ragger by 46%. The proposed improvements that can be given to minimize the incidence of broken ragger are training of ragger machine operators regularly, planning maintenance of scheduled ragger machines as well as providing tools to make it easier for operators to repair damaged machines

Abstract

Quality control is an effort to increase customer satisfaction and minimize damage. Super Absorbent Polymer which is a product as a raw material for making baby diapers / elderly and sanitary napkins. In Super Absorbent Polymer, defects usually found in the colour contamination that there is a dark colour on the product, print labels mistakes and packaging defects. This study aims to determine the value of DPMO and sigma level, identify the efforts which is taken to reduce disability, identify the types of disability, and find the main factors causing disability. Six Sigma method is used to analyze data with define, measure, analyze, improve and control. The quantitative data obtained by direct observation of quality problems. By using the method of six sigma can be seen that the quality of the resulting product is quite good that is 3.07 sigma with a damage rate of 58,624 for a million production (DPMO). The three highest defect product causes are color contamination of 93.34%, misprint of 3.55%, and packaging damage as much as 3.11%. The main factor causing defects is the engine factor for the type of colour contamination defect,. The type of improper defects in the packaging labels and main factor for the packaging defects is the human factor.kecacatan rusaknya kemasan faktor utama ialah faktor manusia.

Abstract

Dust Collector PECS ID Fan adalah fasilitas penyaring debu yang berfungsi sebagai penampung serta penyaring debu dan uap panas yang dihasilkan dari proses pembakaran produk kokas batubara. Kerusakan PECS ID Fan dapat menyebabkan mesin trip, temperatur bearing tinggi dan terjadi kebocoran media filter pada unit Dust Collector. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui penyebab abnormal operation dan merancang sistem perawatan pada mesin PECS ID Fan. Penelitian ini menggunakan tahapan Reliability Centered Maintenance untuk mendapatkan model perawatan yang efektif pada PECS ID Fan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penyebab abnormal operation disebabkan kurangnya penerapan perawatan yang terencana. Sistem perawatan dengan menggunakan Reliability Centered Maintenance memperoleh hasil perawatan pada komponen Chamber (Cage dan Membrane Filter), Air Compressor (Pulsing Pipe) dan Cyclone Dust (Venturi Valve) mengimplementasikan tindakan Failure Finding (FF), komponen ID Fan (Motor, Coupling, Impeller dan Bearing) menerapkan tindakan Condition Direct (CD) dan sub-komponen Screw dari komponen Rotary Lock menerapkan tindakan perawatan Time Directed (TD). Reliability Centered Maintenance dapat mampu merencanakan sistem perawatan komponen peralatan berdasarkan tingkat kerusakan dan pengaruh terhadap operasi.

Abstract

Penggunaan alat pengiris pisang manual berdampak pada tingkat produksi yang rendah, hasil irisan yang beragam dan berpotensi terjadinya kecelakaan kerja terkait tangan tersayat irisan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain alat pengiris pisang untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan safety pekerja. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan cara wawancara dengan mitra terkait permasalahan proses produksi. Perancangan alat menggunakan House of Quality berdasarkan masukan dari responden dan expert sebagai dasar pegembangan alat. Tahap evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengukur kinerja rancangan alat. Pengembangan alat bantu pengiris pisang difokuskan pada dua hal sesuai hasil respon teknis dalam HoQ yaitu kualitas pisau dan bahan alat dari stainless steel. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan produktivitas dalam pembuatan keripik pisang yaitu proses tiga kali lebih cepat, tenaga kerja lebih sedikit dan hasil irisan yang lebih seragam. Penggunaan alat bantu pengiris juga dapat meminimalkan kemungkinan tangan tersayat pada saat proses pengirisan.

Abstract

Kebutuhan konsumsi energi di Indonesia masih sangat tergantung pada energi fosil. Biomassa merupakan bahan baku bioenergi ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan. Sampai saat ini potensi limbah pertanian tanaman padi belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal di Kabupaten Lebak Banten. Nilai tambah dari limbah tanaman padi menjadi produk bioenergi dan arang sekam untuk berbagai aplikasi di bidang industri. Adanya potensi produk bioenergi dan arang sekam serta produk berbahan dasar arang sekam untuk berbagai aplikasi industri. Rekomendasi dari kegiatan PKM antara lain Beberapa langkah dalam upaya pemanfaatan limbah pertanian sekam padi menjadi bioenergi dan arang sekam menjadi produk industri: (1). Rekomendasi pemanfaatan biomassa untuk bioenergi; (2). Rekomendasi pemanfaatan limbah sekam padi menjadi produk bioenergi berupa biopelet; (3). Rekomendasi pemanfaatan limbah sekam padi menjadi arang sekam; (4) Aplikasi arang sekam untuk berbagai aplikasi di bidang industri; 5). Kesadaran penggunaan bioenergi yang berkelanjutan memerlukan partisipasi aktif pemerintah, industri dan masyarakat lokal.Arahan kebijakan peningkatan nilai tambah limbah tanaman padi dapat menjadi rekomendasi dalam peningkatan penggunaan energi terbarukan dan perekonomian bagi petani dan pelaku industri di Kabupaten Lebak.

Abstract

Determining optimal distribution routes in managing efficient transportation distances is a challenge in the bioenergy supply chain. Adequate distribution arrangements can improve distribution in the bioenergy supply chain. Optimizing distribution arrangements can help reduce transportation costs, avoid delays, and improve distribution efficiency. The optimal distribution strategy must consider choosing routes that minimize distribution distances from agricultural centres to power plants. This study aimed to determine the location of collection points and optimal distribution routes in the distribution of the bioenergy supply chain. Centre of gravity (COG) method for locating collection centres. Determination of optimal distribution routes with a combination of ME-MCDM and spatial Dijkstra approaches. The results showed that the centre point at -60.53'42.6" S and 105.035'70.8" E is the biomass collection area for suitable bioenergy. Our proposed method of spatial combination of Dijkstra and multicriteria decision making (ME-MCDM) based on Expert considerations on a more logical bioenergy optimal distribution solution, taking into account sustainability, has TAV 1700,74 with P (V1, V5) = (V1, V2, V4, V5). Managerial Implications for Bioenergy-Producing Companies and Policy Stakeholders From operational efficiency to reducing carbon emissions, this model can help companies better manage their bioenergy distribution and contribute to business sustainability. Abstract

This study examines the dominance of the modern scientific perspective in university science education, which often separates natural sciences from faith-based values. To bridge this gap, developing Physics textbooks that integrate a faith-based approach is crucial. The research explores how Physics textbooks can contribute to achieving Islamic educational goals in universities, employing a qualitative method including literature reviews and textbook analysis. The findings reveal that integrative Physics textbooks can significantly contribute to linking Physics concepts with Islamic values, creating a holistic learning approach. This study proposes a concept for integrative Physics teaching materials, incorporating the history of science and the philosophy of science, preparing students to master Physics and develop strong faith.

Abstract

This study examines the dominance of the positivistic perspective in science education at universities, which often separates natural science from faith-based values. To bridge this gap, developing a Physics textbook that integrates a faith-based approach becomes crucial. This learning resource aims to teach Physics scientifically while connecting it with students' spiritual values.  The research explores the alignment of university Physics education with broader educational goals, employing qualitative methods including literature reviews and textbook analysis. Findings reveal that most Physics textbooks lack integration of spiritual and faith-based values. Consequently, this study proposes a concept for interdisciplinary Physics teaching materials that harmoniously integrate scientific and faith-based values. It also includes discussions on Islamic epistemology, addressing recognised sources and methods of knowledge in Islam, fostering graduates proficient in Physics with strong faith foundations
