This study provides a quantitative analysis of the literature on Islamic finance in Africa from 1992 to 2024, drawing on English, French, Turkish and Russian language articles indexed in Scopus database. Employing a bibliometric methodology alongside content analysis, this study outlines the development and structure of the field, examining aspects such as co-authorship, co-citation, and bibliographic coupling. Finding The international journal of Islam as the highest-ranking journal in Islamic finance in Africa, Hasan, M. Kabir as the most influential in co-authorship, and Islamic finance as the dominant keyword in the bibliometric analysis. The primary objective of this research is to address the lack of prior bibliometric analysis concerning Islamic finance within the context of Africa. Consequently, this research will serve as an inaugural paper conducting a bibliometric review on this particular topic. There are 4 main topics covered: (1) Overview of Islamic finance in Africa; (2) Islamic finance in developing countries; (3) Development of Islamic finance in Africa; (4) Performance of Islamic banking and finance during crises.

Zakat has an important role in the Islamic economic system. Meanwhile, if it is seen that the potential for zakat in Rokan Hilir Regency is quite large, this potential is obtained from professional zakat and wealth zakat. This research is descriptive qualitative, data analysis is carried out simultaneously with data collection. The analysis process is inductive in nature, namely collecting special information into a single unit by collecting data, compiling and classifying it and analyzing the implementation of the zakat fund distribution carried out by BAZNAS of Rokan Hilir Regency. The results of this study indicate that the BAZNAS of Rokan Hilir Regency in distributing zakat funds has already 5 programs aimed at mustahik namely: Rohil Cerdas, Rohil Makmur, Rohil Peduli, Rohil Sehat and Rohil Taqwa.

The problem in this study is that the collection of zakat funds at BAZNAS Sibolga City from 2021 has decreased by 16.78%. The decrease in zakat fund collection in BAZNAS Sibolga City occurred due to ineffective management. There are still many people who give their zakat directly to the mustahik and the lack of role of the Sibolga City Government. This study aims to analyze the level of public trust in paying zakat at BAZNAS Sibolga City, North Sumatra. This research is a descriptive quantitative study. The data sources used by researchers are primary and secondary data sources. The data collection techniques used are questionnaire techniques, observations, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The data analysis used is a descriptive analysis, validity test and reability test using SPSS version 25. The results of this study show that the level of public trust in paying zakat at BAZNAS sibolga city with an interval value of 4.48 which is included in the very high interval category. The trust of the people of Sibolga City is very high in paying zakat at BAZNAS of Sibolga City. Keywords: BAZNAS, Trust, Zakat

There has been a decrease in the number of students of the Zakat and Waqf Management study program from year to year, so a study was carried out which aims to find out how the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business implements strategies to develop it. This type of research is a qualitative research, with the research subjects being students and the Head of the Zakat and Waqf Management Study Program as well as the Dean and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using collection techniques taken from interviews, observations, documentation, and literature studies. The data analysis technique used in this study is the IFAS matrix, EFAS matrix, and SWOT matrix. The score obtained from the IFAS matrix has a total of 3.06, while the total score obtained from the EFAS matrix is 2.68. When viewed from the quadrant, the SWOT matrix shows the position in quadrant I with an aggressive strategy. The strategy that must be carried out is the S-O strategy, the results show that program studies provide a good brand image, provide knowledge and abilities to students, and establish cooperative relationships with related institutions and institutions that are able to provide scholarships for students. AbstractEconomic downturn during the pandemic era has caused the poverty rate to increase. One of manners to overcome poverty in Islamic gospel is to give zakah or tithe. The lecturers and employees at IAIN Padangsidimpuan who have permanent stages can become muzakki to help mustahiq get out of their economic downturn. This study aims to analyze the level of zakah participation of lecturers and staff of IAIN Padangsidimpuan during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is regression analysis in quantitative research design with primary data. The results showed that the faith and self-satisfaction factors can affect the level of zakah participation, while the appreciation, altruism and organization factor do not affect the level of zakah participation. Meningkatnya angka kemiskinan dan sulitnya kaum fakir dan miskin mendapatkan pangan, membuat PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk. Cabang Padangsidimpuan bergerak untuk membantu. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sejauh mana perkembangan dari program yang dibuat. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah staf yang berhubungan dengan program sosial tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data diperiksa dengan perpanjangan waktu penelitian dan triangulasi. Hasil menunjukkan PT. Bank Mumalat Indonesia Tbk. Cabang Padangsidimpuan mengimplementasikan program ini dengan beberap tahapan. Tahap pertama melakukan pendataan siapa yang layak untuk menerima bantuan yang melibatkan pengurus masjid dan apparat pemerintahan setempat, Dana yang terkumpul disalurkan dalam bentuk bantuan berupa sembako seperti beras, minyak, gula, dan bahan pokok lainnya. Disamping bahan pokok, masyarakat penerima bantuan juga mendapatkan uang tunai. Diharapkan program ini dapat meringankan beban dan meminimalisir kemiskinan. Infaq is a fund issued voluntarily for an interest ordered by Islam. However, it has not been implemented optimally due to the constraints of students who do not have a fixed income and there has been a decrease in the number of donations, even though the number of students at IAIN Padangsidimpuan is increasing. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of religiosity, income partially and simultaneously on the interest in giving infaq in z generation. This study uses quantitative research with primary data sources. Data collection techniques using interview techniques, questionnaires, and documentation with a sample size of 91 respondents and using random sampling. The data analysis used was validity test, reliability test, normality test, classical assumption test, determination coefficient test, hypothesis test and multiple linear regression analysis test. The results showed that the income variable did not partially influence the interest in giving in the z generation, while the religiosity variable had a partial effect on the interest in giving in the .z generation. Since June 2020, Padangsidimpuan city was designated as a yellow zone during the Covid-19 pandemic. It has an impact on the household economy. These conditions pushed women to contribute in improving the family economy. The aim of this research is to know the role of women in the family economy improvement in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research used qualitative descriptive method with a total sample of 108 women. The result showed that 73 percent of sample have decreased income and 47 percent family spending increased during the Covid-19 pandemic. These impulse women to work for initiatively helping the family economy as the main goal. A total of 80 percent of self-employed entrepreneurs were trading, with a productive age of 28-54 years dominated by high school education as the background. The amount of revenue reached Rp 50,000-150.00 per day with an average total of dependent inside a family is 4 people. This means that women in the household could still improve the family economy. Therefore, it is necessary using technology to promote business through e-marketing such as: social media, promotion banners (delivery order) via mobile phone or Whatsapp. In addition, e-Marketing education in women is important to be noticed by various parties.

The Covid-19 pandemic that has occurred in various countries including Indonesia is a concern for various parties. It seems that it is starting to be felt in various professional backgrounds including in the economy. One of the Islamic financial instruments that can help improve current economic conditions is zakat. This study aims to determine various socio-demographic variables (zone, domicile, age, gender, occupation, latest education, income per month, average expenditure per month). This research was conducted with a descriptive quantitative approach with a total sample size of 396 people with techniques and data through an electronic questionnaire within a period of 1 month. Further data were analyzed by cross tabulation and correlation Pearson (r value). Based on the results of the study, it is known that there are 3 variables, namely: domicile, occupation, and income per month with the frequency of giving zakat during the Covid-19 pandemic.
