Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa melalui metode pembelajaran kolaboratif di kelas tujuh SMP PAB 21 Pematang Johar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus, yang masing-masing terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, catatan lapangan, dan tes membaca (pre-test and post-test). Analisis melibatkan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk mengevaluasi peningkatan pemahaman membaca siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman membaca siswa setelah menerapkan metode pembelajaran kolaboratif. Temuan awal dari pra-siklus menunjukkan bahwa hanya 20% siswa (5 dari 25) yang mencapai ketuntasan, dengan nilai rata-rata 60,4. Namun, setelah menerapkan metode kolaboratif pada Siklus I, persentase siswa yang tuntas meningkat menjadi 56% (14 siswa), dan nilai rata-rata meningkat menjadi 70,6. Peningkatan lebih lanjut terlihat pada Siklus II, di mana 88% siswa (22 dari 25 siswa) tuntas, dengan nilai rata-rata 77,6. Peningkatan pemahaman membaca siswa secara keseluruhan, yang diukur dari persentase siswa dari nilai pretest ke posttest, berkisar antara 17 % hingga 28,9 % di seluruh siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran kolaboratif secara signifikan meningkatkan minat, keterlibatan, dan kemampuan siswa dalam pemahaman membaca teks naratif. Kesimpulannya, pembelajaran kolaboratif merupakan media pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa kelas tujuh SMP PAB 21 Pematang Johar. This study aims to improve students' reading comprehension through the collaborative learning method in the seventh grade at SMP PAB 21 Pematang Johar. This research employs Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data was collected using observation sheets, interviews, documentation, field notes, and reading tests (pre-test and post-test). The analysis involved both qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate improvements in students' reading comprehension. The results show a significant increase in students' reading comprehension after applying the collaborative learning method. Initial findings from the pre-cycle showed that only 20% of students (5 out of 25) achieved mastery, with an average score of 60.4. However, after implementing the collaborative method in Cycle I, the percentage of students reaching mastery increased to 56% (14 students), and the average score rose to 70.6. Further improvement was observed in Cycle II, where 88% of students (22 out of 25) achieved mastery, with an average score of 77.6. The overall increase in students' reading comprehension, measured by the percentage of students from pretest to posttest scores, ranged from 17% to 28.9% across the cycles. The study's findings indicate that the collaborative learning method significantly improves students' interest, engagement, and ability in reading comprehension of narrative texts. In conclusion, collaborative learning is an effective instructional media for improving reading comprehension in seventh-grade students at SMP PAB 21 Pematang Johar.

E-learning is an important advance in the modern education system. While an Illustration is an art of visual on writing artwork, drawing, painting, photography or another type on an art. Most People want to be an illustrator usually must learning their skill basic with self-taught or learning on art of school. However most people specifically for known illustration and want to learn their skill on art school but constrained with distance or time or another reason with their tools art. Until the most people can not got their skill with fast. By looking at this times with the Design Online Learning Of Education On Illustration At Website, which have contain more information and education about illustration and the illustrator can make easier for other to learning or to hone their skill with complete material which is came from most experience illustrator. The design will become a place of sharing content about illustration, it was built with PHP, and DBMS MySql. This research resulted in an e-learning application using Iconix process.

Abstract

Strategy World Wall dalam bahasa inggris adalah salah satu materi paling dasar yang harus dipelajari oleh para siswa bahasa Inggris. Oleh karena itulah, keahlian yang memadai dalam penguasaan Bahasa Inggris memang cukup dibutuhkan agar nantinya dapat memudah kita dalam penguasaan bahasa Inggris terutama memperbanyak kosa kata bahasa Inggris. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, maka dilaksanakannya metode pengajaran ini yang dilaksanakan di SMP Istiqlal Deli Tua. Dengan tujuan untuk melatih dan membekali keterampilan bagi siswa/i dalam memperbanyak kosa kata bahasa Inggris. Sehingga siswa/i SMP Istiqlal Deli Tua tersebut mudah menggunakan kosa kata bahasa Inggris dalam berbicara. Khalayak sasaran dari pengabdian ini adalah siswa/i SMP Istiqlal Deli Tua.Kegiatan pengabdian telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 25 Januari 2023 yang bertempat di SMP istiqlal Deli Tua, dengan diikuti oleh 25 orang peserta siswa/i SMP Istiqlal Deli Tua. Dari hasil evaluasi diperoleh hasil dan manfaat dari kegiatan pengabdian ini diantaranya adalah meningkatkan keterampilan siswa/i SMP Istiqlal Deli Tua dalam hal menambah kosa kata bahasa Inggris

Abstract

One of key features in Kurikulum Merdeka is the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach, which integrates technology into the classroom and focuses to prepare students’ readiness for encountering real-life challenges. In project-based learning, students design, execute, and assess projects that apply to real-world implementation in outside of the classroom. The participants of this research are tenth grade students of science class at SMAS Pelita Bulu Cina. The purpose of this research is to find out the impact of using project-based learning on students’ English speaking skills. Researchers used quantitative research focusing on pre-experimental research method design. To collect the data, researchers used test as the research instrument. There were pre-test and post test. Researchers analyzed the data by using inferential statistics and descriptive statistics. T-test formula was also used to get the speaking pretest and post test. The finding showed that the mean of pretest score was 71.40 and the post test was 84.25. The hypothesis test result indicated that t-table value for the post test score was 2.012, and significance value was less than ρ value (2- tailed) < 0.05, that was (0.001 < 0.05). It can be concluded that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. In short, project-based learning gave an impact on students’ speaking skill.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability of 10th grade students at SMK Budi Agung Medan in understanding and writing descriptive texts through the application of the complete sentence method. Using Classroom Action Research (CAR), this study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of four phases: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results showed a significant improvement after the use of the complete sentence method. The students' average score increased from 61.5 in the pre-test to 71.5 in the first cycle, and further increased to 82.66 in the second cycle. These findings indicate that the complete sentence method effectively improves students' comprehension of writing descriptive texts by enabling them to develop more engaging ideas, choose appropriate vocabulary, and construct grammatically accurate sentences.
