Abstract

Abstract: Students' abilities can be developed through lectures, one of which is variable Calculus 2. At the University of Islam Raden Rahmat (UNIRA), Malang students only rely on one textbook only when the lectures, so the motivation and low student interest in learning. Therefore it takes lecture materials that can help facilitate students in the lecture, which is an android textbook. This study aims to develop an android textbook valid, practical, and effective in Calculus 2 subjects in UNIRA Malang. This study is a research development. This textbook was developed by using the 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). Phase disseminate not done. The data was collected with the validation and testing of the textbook. The textbook is validated by the lecturer and expert Calculus 2, as well as Indonesian lecturers. Tests were carried out on Informatics students UNIRA Malang to know the practical and effectiveness of the textbook. The results showed that: 1) textbooks have been effective, 2) including the content and construct validity of the validator's point of view, and 3) the use of textbooks in the lecture did not experience significant barriers.Keywords: Calculus 2, Android, Textbook. AbstrakKemampuan mahasiswa dapat dikembangkan melalui perkuliahan, salah satunya yaitu pada materi Kalkulus 2. Di Universitas Islam Raden Rahmat (UNIRA) Malang mahasiswa hanya mengandalkan satu buku ajar saja saat perkuliahan, sehingga motivasi dan minat belajar mahasiswa rendah. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan suatu bahan perkuliahan yang dapat membantu memudahkan mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan, yaitu buku ajar android. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan buku ajar android yang valid, praktis dan efektif pada mata pelajaran Kalkulus 2 di UNIRA Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Buku ajar ini dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, and Desseminate). Fase desseminate tidak dilakukan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan validasi dan pengujian buku ajar. Buku ajar ini divalidasi oleh dosen dan ahli Kalkulus 2, serta dosen Indonesia. Tes dilakukan pada mahasiswa Informatika UNIRA Malang untuk mengetahui kepraktisan dan keefektifan buku ajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) buku ajar sudah efektif, 2) meliputi validitas isi dan konstruk dari sudut pandang validator, dan 3) penggunaan buku ajar dalam perkuliahan tidak mengalami hambatan yang berarti.Kata Kunci: Kalkulus 2, Android, Buku Ajar.

Abstract

The connecting rod in a compressor plays a critical role in transmitting the reciprocating motion from the piston to the crankshaft, making it a vital component that is constantly subjected to cyclic loads and stresses. This study aims to evaluate the structural strength and reliability of a compressor connecting rod by utilizing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) through SolidWorks Simulation software. The connecting rod was modeled with realistic geometric dimensions and material properties commonly used in household refrigerator compressors, such as aluminum alloys or medium-carbon steel. The simulation was performed by applying realistic boundary conditions, including compressive forces, reaction loads from the crankshaft, and constraints reflecting actual operational conditions. The results of the finite element simulation provided insights into the stress distribution, deformation patterns, and safety factors of the connecting rod under various load conditions. The maximum von Mises stress was identified in the transition area between the rod and the crank pin, which is consistent with typical failure points found in previous studies. From the analysis, it was concluded that the existing design provides an acceptable safety factor under normal working conditions, but optimizations in material thickness and fillet radius at critical regions could further enhance durability and reduce the risk of fatigue failure. This study highlights the importance of structural analysis in improving the reliability and longevity of compressor components through simulation-based design validation.

Abstract

LQR diimplementasikan pada kontrol yaw untuk turbin angin dengan bantuan Matlab dan Simulink untuk mensimulasikan hasil dari sistem kontrol yang telah didesain. Fokus dalam penelitian ini adalah kontrol posisi dan kecepatan dari motor/turbin terhadap input referensi. Dari persamaan diferensial akan diperoleh matriks A,B,C, D yang akan digunakan untuk kontrol posisi dan kecepatan sudut. Solusi dari LQR dilakukan dengan Matlab sehingga didapat nilai Gain yang akan digunakan dalam Simulink. Hasil Simulasi menunjukkan bahwa posisi sudut mengalami osilasi dalam selang waktu tertentu hingga mencapai nilai referensi awal, berbeda dengan kecepatan sudut yang mencapai kondisi steady state setelah diterapkan LQR.
