Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the macroeconomic conditions of districts/cities in Bengkulu Province. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach. This quantitative approach is used by researchers to measure changes in conditions by increasing and decreasing data for each macroeconomic indicator. This study uses secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency from 2019-2020. Based on the results of the study, district/city macroeconomic indicators were negatively and positively affected during the pandemic. Based on six macroeconomic indicators, it can be concluded that the area that was most negatively affected during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 was Bengkulu City, where 5 of the indicators experienced a decline with 3 of them the largest decline compared to other regions. The implementation of the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (LSSR) policy to prevent the spread has had an impact on economic activities which have an impact on decreasing economic growth, decreasing per capita income, increasing unemployment, increasing poverty, increasing the Gini ratio and increasing the human development index. Meanwhile, North Bengkulu Regency has a positive impact on 4 macroeconomic indicators, namely: an increase in the human development index, a decrease in unemployment, a decrease in poverty and a decrease in the Gini ratio. Abstract

This study aims to ascertain how Indonesia's open unemployment rate is affected by education, provincial minimum wage, inflation, and investment. The study's panel data, which covers the years 2020-2023, comes from 34 regions of Indonesia. The panel data, which combines cross-sectional and time series data, is analyzed using a quantitative descriptive approach. Secondary data were provided by the Central Bureau of Statistics. The Eviews 12 program was used in this work to conduct regression analysis on panel data using the Fixed Effect Model method. The research findings show that education, provincial minimum wage, inflation and investment statistically show a significant negative impact on the unemployment rate in Indonesia. The implications for policy include the need for UMP policies that are in line with local economic conditions, improving education as an investment in human resources, managing inflation, and the importance of attracting domestic and foreign investment to encourage economic expansion and reduce unemployment.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), minimum wage, and poverty rate affect the unemployment rate in Central Java during the period 2021-2023. Using secondary data from 35 regencies / cities. The most appropriate analysis method used is the random effect model (REM).The results show that GRDP has a significant negative effect on unemployment, on the other hand, the minimum wage shows a significant positive effect, although there are indications that the poverty rate can affect unemployment, the effect is not significant. Overall, the independent variables explain the unemployment rate by 79.7%. These findings emphasize the importance of GRDP and minimum wage policy in the effort to reduce unemployment in Central Java, providing valuable insights for policy makers in formulating more effective strategies to address unemployment problems.

Abstract

This study examines how digitalization and labor force participation affect Indonesia's regional gross domestic product between 2018 and 2023 and uses panel data from 34 provinces. GRDP is the dependent variable, and the independent variables are internet usage, number of merchants, and activity level. The data were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and Bank Indonesia (BI). The analysis method used is multiple regression processed with E-views 12. The research findings show that GRDP is positively and significantly influenced by internet usage, the number of merchants, and the labor force participation rate by using the selected fixed effect model. These results indicate that the availability of access and use of digital technology and the level of labor market participation are key to improving the Indonesian economy.

Abstract

One of the Indonesian government's efforts is to develop Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, usually MSMEs, to restore economic stability and encourage economic growth and national economic recovery. Based on these conditions, the community service team for the Master of Applied Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Bengkulu University, held socialization activities for MSME Digitalization Development in Pekik Nyering Village, Central Bengkulu Regency and made this an effort to increase the competitiveness of MSME products. The socialization focused on training in making simple financial reports and using the SIAPIK application to make it easier to record financial transactions precisely and practically anytime, anywhere, without carrying a cash book. The activity was carried out on September 4, 2024, and was well received by the people of Pekik Nyering Village. After training, MSMEs can use the SIAPIK application and are expected to continue using this application on an ongoing basis.
