Abstract

This community service activity (PPM) was carried out with the issue of Digital Money in Financial Transactions in Jambu Village, Central Bengkulu Regency. The activity was attended by 20 participants from the Talang Jambu Village Community. This activity was motivated by the fact that many people still do not understand digital money and the distance of public banks from villages means that economic activities are often hampered. In this activity, people can understand the need for technology in finance and payment tools so that economic transactions can continue to be carried out even if they do not have cash. Digital money also makes the transaction process easier because there is no need for direct face-to-face contact between sellers and buyers so economic activity can run more massively and conductively.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on local resources have great potential in driving village economic growth. However, low product branding capacity is often a major obstacle in increasing MSME competitiveness in the wider market. This community service activity aims to introduce basic strategies for local product branding to MSMEs in Sri Kuncoro Village, Central Bengkulu Regency, by utilizing digital media as an effective and affordable promotional tool. Through socialization, participants were introduced to the importance of brand identity, product storytelling techniques, basic principles of packaging design, and the use of digital platforms such as WhatsApp Business, Instagram, and local marketplaces. It is hoped that this activity will increase MSMEs' understanding of the importance of product image, expand market reach, and encourage the growth of businesses based on local potential.

Abstract

One of the Indonesian government's efforts is to develop Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, usually MSMEs, to restore economic stability and encourage economic growth and national economic recovery. A common problem for every MSME is that knowledge about financial reports is still weak. Based on these conditions, the community service team for the Master of Applied Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Bengkulu University, held socialization activities for MSME Digitalization Development in Pekik Nyering Village, Central Bengkulu Regency and made this an effort to increase the competitiveness of MSME products. The socialization focused on training in making simple financial reports and using the SIAPIK application to make it easier to record financial transactions precisely and practically anytime, anywhere, without carrying a cash book. The activity was carried out on September 4, 2024, and was well received by the people of Pekik Nyering Village. After training, MSMEs can use the SIAPIK application and are expected to continue using this application on an ongoing basis.
