Abstract

As a newly developed city, Langsa City is one of the right areas to try. Introduced as a Service City, the city strives to meet the needs of its people. However, because Langsa City has minimal in industry, especially in medium and high scale industries, only consumptive needs can be met. Therefore, trade is a growing business, especially in retail businesses. Unfortunately, community retail businesses in recent years have experienced a decline in turnover, the main cause is the inability of local retail businesses to compete with national retail. Therefore the purpose of this study was to analyze the competition of national local economic retail business in a socio-economic way in Langsa City. Using a qualitative approach, the results show that the running of the national retail business in Langsa City has made local retailers turnover decline by an average of 30 percent and every year there are local retail businesses that have small business capital must to shut-down their businesses. The decline in the turnover of local retailers also had an effect on the reduced amount of zakah distributed, the reduction of other social contributions such as contributions to the construction of mosques, dayah, and poor people in addition to the amount of tax that also declined.Whereas in the national retail business the positive effect obtained is from tax contributions. The expectation of local retailers to the government in Langsa City is to prioritize the sustainability of local businesses in order to maintain the stability of the people?s economy.

Abstract

Province of Aceh has special autonomy rights accordance with Law Number 18 of 2001 with Islamic Shariah being the material written in the form of Qanun (set of syariah regional regulations) first. One of the objectives to be achieved in the implementation of regional autonomy is to bring regional independence. To achieve regional independence, increasing Locally-Generated Revenue (PAD) is one of the fiscal instruments that cannot be avoided in developing the economy and the welfare of the people. The purpose of this study is 1) To determine the potential of PAD sourced from Regional Taxes and Regional Retribution in East Aceh Regency; 2) To analyze the strategies carried out by the East Aceh Regional Government in optimizing regional tax and retribution revenues from potential tourism areas in the future. By using a qualitative research approach, based on the results of field observations, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and interviews with expert sources, the results are obtained that the potential of PAD sourced from Regional Tax and Retribution in East Aceh Regency is still minimal. There are no tourist areas, entertainment venues, restaurants that are in line with the category of regional taxpayers and local user fees, making the source of income for PAD unable to be the main source of income for East Aceh Regency. The next result is the strategy carried out by the East Aceh Regional Government in optimizing regional tax and levies revenue from potential tourism areas, starting with the opening of tourist areas, especially for coastal areas in the form of socialization and management of tourism area management through third parties (private) and the East Aceh Regency government. For the implementation of the taxpayer for the entertainment tax sector in the PAD can not be implemented at this time, but it is hoped that the success of the government will be the basis for future PAD resources.

Abstract

The trade war between the United States and China occurred because both countries implemented protectionist policies, which led to increased import tariffs on each other’s products. The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences in the selling price of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) in Indonesia before and after the trade war between the United States and China. This comparative study aims to examine two groups of variables across different periods. It employs a quantitative approach using secondary data, specifically the selling prices of CPO in Indonesia from January 2013 to December 2024. Data were collected through documentation and literature review. Based on the wilcoxon, the Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.001, which is less than 0.05, indicating a significant difference in the selling price of CPO in Indonesia before and after the trade war.

This study uses quantitative methods and descriptive data analysis. The sample in this study is five ASEAN countries . which was first formed . The results of this study indicate that inflation partially has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in ASEAN countries . With a probability value of 0.0247 <0.05, while the calculated T and T table values are 2.1161 > 2.01290 . The import probability value is 0.0478 <0.05, while the calculated T and T table values are 2.0112 > 2.01290. The import probability value is 0.3595 > 0.05, while the calculated T and T table values are 0.9741 <2.01290. The exchange rate probability value is 0.2086 > 0.05, while the calculated T and T table values are 1.0207 <2.01290. And the Prob F-Statistic value is 0.000015. Since the F-Statistic value is 0.000015 < 0.05, Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted.
