Abstract

Identification of active compounds in cacao pod rind has been done. Cacao pod rind contained active compound alkaloid, theobromine (3,7-dimethylxanthine). Cacao pod rind extract contained some other active compounds mixed flavonoid or condensed tannin such as anthocyanin, anthocyanidin, catechin, epicatechin, epigallocatechin, and leucoanthocyanidin. Cacao pod rind was extracted by maceration using methanol 70% and fractionated with hexane and ethyl acetate to obtain polar extracts. This study used an experimental method that was analyzed descriptively using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS). Phytochemical screening test showed cocoa pod rind extracts contained alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, terpenoids, and saponins. GC-MS analysis showed that cacao pod rind extracts contained 24 compounds. Polar extracts analysis with LC-MS obtained 10 compounds contained hydroxy groups, which can be used as corrosion inhibitors on metal. The result of this study showed that cocoa pod rind has potential as corrosion inhibitor. It also has potential as an anti-bacterial and antioxidant.

Abstract

PT. Parafin Energi Mandiri (PT. PEM) merupakan sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pemasokan dan penjualan gas LPG non subsidi. Masalah yang sering muncul dalam berbisnis LPG adalah seringnya terjadi kelangkaan atau jumlah permintaan LPG 3 Kg yang mengakibatkan masyarakat beralih mengkonsumsi gas LPG non subsidi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prediksi jumlah penjualan tabung gas 5,5 Kg oleh PT. PEM pada Juni 2022 – Mei 2023 dengan menggunakan metode least square. Persamaan trend yang diperoleh adalah Y^'=850,083-12,631 X. Persamaan tersebut merepresentasikan bahwa akan terjadi penurunan penjualan tabung gas 5,5kg dari bulan ke bulan pada periode Juni 2022 – Mei 2023. Tingkat akurasi dari persamaan trend di atas adalah sebesar 10%. Artinya, persamaan trend tersebut dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi penjualan di bulan-bulan selanjutnya karena hasil prediksi yang dilakukan sangat akurat. Sehingga hasil prediksi penjualan tabung gas 5,5kg untuk 12 bulan mendatang (Juni 2022 – Mei 2023) dapat dijadikan pedoman dalam mengatur strategi penjualan agar nilai penjualan yang diperoleh maksimal. Tren penurunan ini juga terjadi pada angka jumlah penjualan tabung gas 5,5kg. Jumlah penjualan pada periode Juni 2021 – Mei 2022 adalah 10.201 tabung dan menurun menjadi 6.728 tabung pada periode Juni 2022 – Mei 2023. Abstract

This research focuses on the design of earthquake-resistant houses in West Sumatra Province to improve the structural quality of residential buildings. Significant damage to houses caused by previous earthquakes poses a serious threat, especially as it can hinder evacuation processes during disasters. Ensuring individual safety is a top priority in evacuation efforts, making it crucial to build earthquake-safe homes, whether through new construction or renovation, to minimize the risk of casualties. The study employs a quantitative approach guided by the earthquake-resistant house requirements handbook developed by JICA and the Ministry of Public Works. The result is an alternative DED design for a Type 45 house suitable for West Sumatra. This single-story house is designed on hard soil with a structure that meets earthquake standards. The analysis results show the structural specifications as follows: the foundation uses stone with a bottom dimension of 80 cm, a top dimension of 40 cm, and a height of 80 cm; BS beams measure 15 cm x 30 cm; RB beams 15 cm x 20 cm; and columns 20 cm x 20 cm. The average Safety Factor (SF) values are BS beams 1.04, RB beams 1.3, columns > 3, and stone foundation 3, indicating that the planned sections meet the requirements for earthquake-resistant houses. This study aims to contribute to disaster risk mitigation and serve as a guide for communities in constructing earthquake-resistant homes, especially in the West Sumatra region.

Abstract

Soil stabilizer polymer hasil campuran lateks polyester tak jenuh Yukalac 157 BQTN-EX dengan lateks pekat karet alam (LPKA), disebut soil stabilizer termoset (SSTS). Campuran ini homogen pada perbandingan 90/10 dan stabil hingga hari ke 28 penyimpanan, dapat digunakan sebagai perekat tanah pasir untuk meningkatkan sifat kekuatannya. Melalui berinteraksi gugus polar pada polester dengan partikel tanah pasir diprediksi dapat membentuk komposit yang memiliki sifat mekanis yang tangguh sebagai material jalan. Hasil uji mekanis komposit tanah yang distabilkan dengan SSTS meningkat hingga penambahan SSTS 35%. Kuat tekan meningkat hingga penambahan SSTS 25% dan menurun pada penambahan lebih tinggi . Daya serap air menurun dengan peningkatan jumlah SSTS. Hasil uji termal terdapat pergeseran puncak dari polyester, SSTS dan komposit campuran SSTS dengan tanah pasir.

Abstract

New voters play an important role in the election because as many as 35-40% of all voters are new voters. In this way, the number of first-time voters is very large, so that citizens' rights to exercise their right to vote should not be insignificant as a result of unexpected mistakes, for example, do not let them already have the right to vote and not be able to exercise their right to vote because they are not registered or there are still many errors in exercise their right to vote, etc.Dian Andalas Private High School is located in Komp. Unand Ulu Gadut. There are 70 students from Dian Andalas Private High School who are in the category of beginner voters in the 2024 elections. There are still many students who do not understand the importance of voting rights in general elections and do not know the procedures for granting voting rights at polling stations.The aim to be achieved from this service activity is to provide insight and improve skills for Dian Andalas Private High School students in their participation in the upcoming 2024 elections.The output target that will be achieved is the students of the Dian Andalas Private High School, by carrying out this activity, it is hoped that the students of the Dian Andalas Private High School, Padang, will participate in the general election and know the procedures for voting in the general election.

Abstract

This study aims to design a two-story earthquake-resistant house in Padang City with reinforced concrete structural system for columns, beams and foundations, combined with prefabricated lightweight steel roof frame. The design procedure refers to SNI 1727 2020 for minimum loads, SNI 2847 2019 on requirements for reinforced concrete and SNI 1726 2020 on seismic design procedures for buildings. 3D model was developed using sap2000 application to obtain internal forces and support reactions of the building. The foundation design was analyzed by Terzhagi’s method with consideration of the local soil conditions. The result indicate that the designed structural elements meet the strength requirements for earthquake resistant house in Padang. The use of prefabricated light steel roof frame does not significantly affect the total structural weight, but contributes to time efficiency during construction. The structural DED produced in this study is expected to serve as a practical reference for earthquake- resistant housing development in Padang. This research highlights the importance of applying seismic standards even to residential buildings.
