Abstract

Pertumbuhan penduduk menyebabkan kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap transportasi untuk memenuhi mobilitas sehari-hari. Hal ini menyebabkan kepemilikan kendaraan bermotor turut mengalami peningkatan. Selain menunjang mobilisasi, meningkatnya kepemilikan kendaraan bermotor juga memberikan dampak negatif, salah satunya adalah terjadinya kecelakaan.  Penelitian ini   menganalisis karakteristik kecelakaan yang terjadi di Provinsi Jambi, variabel yang digunakan adalah faktor penyebab terjadinya kecelakaan, waktu terjadinya kecelakaan, fungsi jalan tempat terjadinya kecelakaan, dan kawasan terjadinya kecelakaan.  Analisis dilakukan menggunakan analisis statistik korelasi, alat yang digunakan adalah fungsi correlation pada Microsoft Excel. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa factor penyebab terjadinya kecelakaan yang memiliki tingkat korelasi paling tinggi adalah faktor pengemudi dengan  nilai 0,969. Waktu terjadinya kecelakaan paling tinggi pada rentang waktu 18.00-00.00 dengan nilai 0,975. Fungsi jalan yang menjadi tempat terjadinya kecelakaan dengan korelasi paling tinggi adalah  jalan kolektor dengan nilai 0,800, sedangkan untuk kawasan yang sering menjadi tempat terjadinya kecelakaan adalah kawasan pemukiman dengan nilai korelasi  0,995. Penelitian dilanjutkan dengan analisis sub-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya kecelakaan akibat jalan, analisis ini dilakukan karena faktor jalan merupakan satu-satunya faktor yang dapat dikontrol secara massif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sub-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya kecelakaan akibat jalan adalah tidak adanya marka dengan nilai korelasi 0,945.

Abstract

As a mode of mass transportation, trains are one of the choices for people to travel. Safety and security of train travel are important factors in the implementation of railway transportation. One of the problems in railways is the low safety performance reflected by the high number of accidents. Machinists play an important role in the safety of railroad trave. The increasing number of schedules and trips as well as the lack of the number of machinists assigned to Divre II West Sumatra resulted in an increasingly dense schedule arrangement that affects the workload and mental burden felt by machinists and of course will also have an impact on the safety of the train journey itself. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on workload and mental load on machinists. This study aims to predicting the probability of train accidents in terms of factors affecting the level of fatigue, predicting the probability of train accidents in terms of factors affecting workload and mental load, analyzing the relationship between factors affecting workload and mental load felt by machinists in relation to train accidents. The method using modeling with a Bayesian Network Structure (SBN) using questionnaire data conducted on machinists in Divre II West Sumatera which is then analyzed using Gennie 2.2 Software to obtain the probability value of accidents that may occur to machinists based on the machinist classification level and finally find out what factors affect the workload and mental of machinists.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan di kelurahan Baringin Kecamatan Lubuk Kilangan kota Padang dengan tema penguatan ekonomi lokal pengembangan branding produk unggulan. Kelurahan Baringin memiliki potensi ekonomi lokal yang besar, namun belum dioptimalkan dengan baik. Salah satu faktornya adalah kurangnya branding produk unggulan. Hal ini menyebabkan produk lokal sulit bersaing di pasaran dan nilai jualnya rendah. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan ekonomi lokal melalui pengembangan branding produk unggulan di Kelurahan Baringin. Metode: Melakukan identifikasi produk unggulan. Mengembangkan strategi branding. Melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada pelaku usaha. Membantu pemasaran produk unggulan. Target Capaian Luaran: Teridentifikasinya produk unggulan di Kelurahan Baringin. Tersusunnya strategi branding produk unggulan. Meningkatnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan pelaku usaha dalam branding. Penjualan produk unggulan di pasar yang lebih luas. Manfaat lainnya adalah meningkatkan pendapatan pelaku usaha dan menciptakan lapangan kerja baru. Sehingga melalui pengembangan branding produk unggulan di Kelurahan Baringin diharapkan dapat meningkatkan ekonomi lokal dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Pengabdian diikuti oleh 12 orang pelaku usaha lokal di kelurahan Baringin dan menghasilkan 9 desain logo produk “branding”. Harapannya logo yang dihasilkan pada kegiatan pendampingan ini dapat digunakan untuk promosi dari produk yang dihasilkan oleh masyarakat kelurahan ini.

Abstract

This research focuses on the design of earthquake-resistant houses in West Sumatra Province to improve the structural quality of residential buildings. Significant damage to houses caused by previous earthquakes poses a serious threat, especially as it can hinder evacuation processes during disasters. Ensuring individual safety is a top priority in evacuation efforts, making it crucial to build earthquake-safe homes, whether through new construction or renovation, to minimize the risk of casualties. The study employs a quantitative approach guided by the earthquake-resistant house requirements handbook developed by JICA and the Ministry of Public Works. The result is an alternative DED design for a Type 45 house suitable for West Sumatra. This single-story house is designed on hard soil with a structure that meets earthquake standards. The analysis results show the structural specifications as follows: the foundation uses stone with a bottom dimension of 80 cm, a top dimension of 40 cm, and a height of 80 cm; BS beams measure 15 cm x 30 cm; RB beams 15 cm x 20 cm; and columns 20 cm x 20 cm. The average Safety Factor (SF) values are BS beams 1.04, RB beams 1.3, columns > 3, and stone foundation 3, indicating that the planned sections meet the requirements for earthquake-resistant houses. This study aims to contribute to disaster risk mitigation and serve as a guide for communities in constructing earthquake-resistant homes, especially in the West Sumatra region.

Abstract

Muntei is one of the villages in South Siberut, Mentawai Island Regency. The Mentawai Island located in West Sumatera and are outside the territory of the island of Sumatera, including one of the outermost islands in this Province. Mentawai is one of the areas in West Sumatera that is frequently shaken by earthquake. So, the implementation of earthquake resistant building standars is an important factor that must be considered in efforts to reduce disaster risk, considering that West Sumatera is one of the areas with a high earthquake risk. The implementation of earthquake resistant building standards should have started during the planning process. As one of the outermost province Mentawai is also lagging behind in infrastructure development, so sustainable development needs to be carried out to make Mentawai come out of being behind compare to other district in the West Sumatera. The review design of the site foundation of the SDN 12 Muntei school building aims to ensure the carrying capacity of the foundation. To obtain maximum axial value of the building, modeling was carried out using the sap2000 application. From the modeling and data analysis can be concluded that the foundation does not meet the requirements and is unable to carry the maximum load of the building. The allowable capacity of foundation permit for the SDN 12 Muntei is 12.96 Tonenes, while the maximum load on the building is 34.57 tonnes. The result of this analysis show that the foundation is not good and must be repaired.

Abstract

Konstruksi infrastruktur jalan tol dapat mengalami kerusakan sebelum masa layanan yang direncanakan tercapai. Penurunan tanah dapat terjadi apabila infrastruktur transportasi dibangun di atas lapisan tanah lunak, sehingga menyebabkan kerusakan struktur dan geoteknik yang cukup besar. Penelitian menjadi sangat penting dengan mengambil studi kasus pada Jalan Tol Palembang-Indralaya STA 1+670 yang berada di atas lapisan tanah dengan nilai N-SPT < 10 dan tanah lunak mencapai kedalaman 16,95 m. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas aplikasi preloading dan prefabricated vertical drain (PVD) dalam mempercepat proses penurunan tanah dasar pada jalan tol tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah dengan mengombinasikan metode preloading dan PVD. Metode preloading menggunakan sistem surcharge, menempatkan beban timbunan pada tanah dasar dengan tinggi desain 5 m. Metode PVD dengan memasang alat vertical drain ke dalam lapisan tanah lunak. Data yang diperlukan meliputi layout lokasi dan data tanah dasar, yaitu data tanah hasil uji lapangan dan laboratorium. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penurunan yang terjadi sebesar 1,556 m dengan derajat konsolidasi 90% selama 2,149 tahun. Selanjutnya, setelah memasukkan metode PVD, waktu penurunan tanah dasar dengan derajat konsolidasi 90% menjadi lebih cepat, yaitu dua bulan dengan pola pemasangan segitiga dengan jarak 3 meter. Pada jalan tol dari Palembang menuju Indralaya, pendekatan gabungan antara preloading dengan PVD terbukti bermanfaat dalam mempercepat proses penurunan tanah dasar. Penelitian mengimplikasikan bahwa kombinasi metode preloading dan prefabricated vertical drain (PVD) dapat dipilih sebagai metode perbaikan tanah lunak untuk mempercepat penurunan tanah dasar.

Abstract

The rehabilitation and renovation work for school facilities and infrastructures is one of the work programs of the PUPR ministry. SDN 09 Ranah Pantai Cermin is one of the schools in West Sumatera that has the opportunity to take part in this program. This elementary school is located in the Sangir Batang Hari sub- district South Solok Regency. The plan for building classrooms on the edge of a cliff is the main reason for buiding a retaining wall before classroom construction work begins. Turap were built as retaining walls to prevent landslides around the classrooms during pre-construction, constructions and post-construction. Gravity type with river stones as the base material was chosen as a retaining wall at SDN 09 Ranah Pantai Cermin. Gravity turap was chosen as a retaining wall at this school with consideration that there is quite a lot of material around the site and also that work that does not require special skills. Source of data used for soil stability analysis are obtained from the field, previous research and from shop drawings. After analysing data, it was found that the Turap to be built is safe and meets the planning requirements for retaining wall stability with safety factor as follows: overturning 2.3 times, share 11.84 time and with bearing capacity of 16 time calculated by the Terzhagi method. Analysis and checking of the stability of the Turap as retaining wall at SDN 09 Ranah Pantai Cermin is only carried out for static loads on the retaining wall.

Abstract

The building performance is an innovative approach that discusses planning, design, construction methods, and the users of the building. To ensure the building functions as intended, maintenance and care are essential. An analysis of user satisfaction regarding building performance reflects users' needs and expectations. Politeknik Negeri Padang, a vocational higher education institution established for 37 years, warrants a user satisfaction analysis of its facilities to maintain comfort in its activities. This research was conducted through a questionnaire survey with 700 respondents, including staff, educators, and students. The analysis using the Suitability Level approach identified three priority indicators for improving building performance: information technology facilities, the condition of public facilities like restrooms, parking, and pantries, and the cleanliness of public toilets. Meanwhile, the Importance and Performance Analysis (IPA) highlighted four key areas for performance enhancement: availability of trash bins and cleanliness of the environment, public facilities such as pantries, toilets, and parking areas, room temperature issues, and information technology facilities like internet connectivity.

Abstract

As one of the main fillers in concrete and asphalt mixtures, aggregate must comply with the required material standards. Aggregate sieve analysis is one of the tests that must be carried outbefore making a concrete Job Mix Formula (JMF). Aggregate sieve analysis testing is an important step to determine the size of the aggregate particle used in concrete mixtures and asphalt mixtures. Aggregate sieve analysis testing aims to analyze the aggregate grain size distribution, determine the maximum grain size of the aggregate used, ensure its conformity with technical specification standards and evaluate its impact on the quality and performance of construction materials. In this study, the combined percentage or percentage of coarse aggregate and fine aggregate was determined using analytical methods. This method involves using a series of sieves specific sizes to separate and measure the proportion of particles from the aggregate to be tested. Previous research shows that the distribution of aggregate gradations effect the stability, strength and durability of construction materials. The aggregate used as a test sample came from the Batang Kuranji river. The coarse aggregate used is 2000 grams in surface dry condition (SSD) and 1000 grams for fine aggregate. Dry surface condition on the aggregate were obtained after the aggregate was dried in an oven for 24 hours. The maximum aggregate size used for this test is 40 mm. Finenes Modulus (FM) of the material used as a test sample has accordance the required material fineness value. The results of the sieve analysis test provide a recommendation for a combined percentage of coarse aggregate of 64.8% and fine aggregate of 35.2%. Besides that, from the aggregate sive analysis test, it is known that the FM values obtained were 7.22 for coarse aggregate and 3.09 fine aggregate in the Batang Kuranji river.

Abstract

This study aims to design a two-story earthquake-resistant house in Padang City with reinforced concrete structural system for columns, beams and foundations, combined with prefabricated lightweight steel roof frame. The design procedure refers to SNI 1727 2020 for minimum loads, SNI 2847 2019 on requirements for reinforced concrete and SNI 1726 2020 on seismic design procedures for buildings. 3D model was developed using sap2000 application to obtain internal forces and support reactions of the building. The foundation design was analyzed by Terzhagi’s method with consideration of the local soil conditions. The result indicate that the designed structural elements meet the strength requirements for earthquake resistant house in Padang. The use of prefabricated light steel roof frame does not significantly affect the total structural weight, but contributes to time efficiency during construction. The structural DED produced in this study is expected to serve as a practical reference for earthquake- resistant housing development in Padang. This research highlights the importance of applying seismic standards even to residential buildings.
