Abstract

Instrumen penelitian menggunakan pedoman AHRQ (Agency of Healthcare Research and Quality) dan guideline WHO tahun 2009. Kata Kunci: Kesiapsiagaan bencana rumah sakit, pandemi influenza, BioterorismeAbstract - There are many bioterrorism threat clinical cases used biological agent such as virus and bacteria. Virus that potentially used in bioterorrism act is influenza. Influenza can be pandemics and causes mass casualty. To response that, a hospital must have a good preparedness for pandemics. The aim of this study was to asses the preparedness of Indonesian Army Hospital for influenza pandemic to anticipate bioterorrism threat. A qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study  was developed  using grounded theory as a design to data analysis. This study involved health workers from some units like emergency department, isolation room, pharmacy, laboratory, and infection prevention and controlling commitee using purposive dan snowball sampling. Instrument of this study used AHRQ (Agency of Healthcare Research and Quality) and WHO guidelines 2009. It was found that preparedness of Indonesian Army Hospital for pandemics was good in average. In detail, it showed that plan and administration (86.60%) surge capacity (79.10%), education and training (77.70%), communication (76.90%), staffing (71.42%), isolation and decontamination (94.44%), pharmacy (77.77%), laboratory (83.33%), and surveilance (91.66%). It concluded that Indonesian Army Central Hospital Gatot Soebroto recently had a good level of preparedness for pandemics. In the future, the hospital need to enhance cooperation with other hospitals and health ministry. Human resources capacity of hospital can be empowered by cross training method. Abstract

Introduction: The significance of nurses' disaster preparedness and resilience in diverse settings has become increasingly apparent due to the rise in global crises. This study aimed to investigate nurses' perspectives on these two factors and to examine their intricate relationships and nuances. Methods: A cross-sectional framework was used to evaluate 390 nurses using the Disaster Preparedness Evaluation Tool (DPET) and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC). Descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney U-test, Kruskal-Wallis H test, Spearman's correlation analysis, and the generalized linear model were employed to determine the relationships between nurses' characteristics, self-regulation, work culture perception, and their DPET and CD-RISC scores. Results: The results revealed that 79.7% of the participants were female, but male nurses consistently scored higher on both the assessments. The average DPET score was 172.29, and the average CD-RISC score was 27.34. Self-regulation and work culture perception were the most influential factors in raising DPET and CD-RISC scores by 4.032 and 1.454 units (p=0.000), and 1.112 and 0.34 units (p=0.000). Conclusions: This study emphasizes the need for ongoing training of nurses in disaster preparedness and resilience to promote introspective learning and collaborative best practices. It also highlights the role of hospitals in optimizing resources and creating a supportive environment for enhanced disaster preparedness and resilience, given the impact of organizational work culture. The study findings suggest a nuanced understanding of gender dynamics in disaster preparedness and resilience, emphasizing the importance of further exploration of these disparities for effective nursing practices.

Abstract

Indonesia is a disaster-prone region. According to the Indonesian Disaster Information Data there are 9,390 disasters throughout 2019 with 911 dead, 2,163 injured and 5,371,345 affected by the disaster. Synergy and collaboration from various parties in disaster management are needed, including collaboration between health professions. Preparing health competencies, should be instilled early on, through IPE (Interprofessional Education). The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship of Interprofessional Education (IPE) with Collaboration between FIKES Students in Disaster Emergency Response Simulation at FIKES UPN Veteran Jakarta. Method of this research, this study conducted by descriptive and analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. To complete the information required, it completed by open question. The data was analyzed, by descriptive and Chi-square method and data from open question analyzed by content analysis. The results of this research, by bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between Interprofessional Education (IPE) and Collaboration between Students in Disaster Emergency Response Simulation at FIKES UPN Veteran Jakarta with P value = 0.005 (P <0.05). Conclusion: Need to build the student collabolation, since early on, by IPE and IPC. Recomentation: FIKES UPN Veteran Jakarta need to consider applying IPE structurally in the Disaster Emergency Response Simulation to support the build of collaborative disaster response generation.
