Abstract

Along with this progress, increasingly sophisticated information technology allows humans to fulfill various needs more efficiently, making many activities more practical and effective. One of the significant impacts of the rapid development of technology is the emergence of e-commerce. With e-commerce, it makes things easier for buyers because it provides various features that provide many conveniences. The existence of these features makes consumers tend to do impulsive buying, namely buying goods without careful planning or consideration, without thinking about the use or need for the goods. This research aims to see differences in impulsive buying behavior between male and female students who use e-commerce. This research uses a quantitative approach with the Slovin method to determine a sample consisting of 100 students who use e-commerce. The measuring instrument used is the impulsive buying scale with a total of 30 items. The results of data analysis using IBM SPSS 27 show that the data is normally distributed and homogeneous. Hypothesis testing with the independent sample t-test produces a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), which indicates there is a significant difference in impulsive buying behavior between male and female students. The average impulsive buying score for female students (77.76) is higher than that of male students (58.72), indicating that women are more likely to do impulsive buying.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether Cohesion Hub training, based on group cohesiveness theory, is effective in reducing social loafing among members of a UKM at Padang State University. This study was a quasi-experimental study with a Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. Data analysis used an independent sample t-test with the JASP application. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The subjects were 34 UKM members, divided into 17 experimental groups and 17 control groups. The experiment was conducted over two days. The results of this study indicate that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. This is supported by an independent sample t-test with a p-value of 0.001 < 0.05. Therefore, it is concluded that the Cohesion Hub training has proven effective in reducing social loafing among UKM members at Padang State University.

Abstract

This study aims to adapt and conduct an initial validation of the Indonesian version of the Basic Needs in Games Scale (BANGS), a psychometric instrument based on Self-Determination Theory (SDT) that measures two core dimensions in the gaming context: satisfaction and frustration of basic psychological needs. The adaptation process involved forward-backward translation and expert evaluation to ensure cultural relevance. Data were collected from 300 active online game players in Indonesia. Construct validity was assessed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). EFA identified two factors, Need Satisfaction and Need Frustration that accounted for 56.5% of the total variance, with high factor loadings and no cross-loadings. CFA results indicated a good model fit (CFI = 0.951; TLI = 0.944; RMSEA = 0.068; SRMR = 0.055), with all indicators showing significant loadings on their respective factors. These findings confirm that the Indonesian version of the BANGS has adequate psychometric validity and can be reliably used to assess psychological need experiences in gaming activities, while also contributing to cross-cultural research and the development of digital context-based interventions.
