Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang berlangsung cepat mendorong perusahaan untuk memiliki kemampuan dalam memberikan kepuasan kepada pelanggan dengan menghasilkan produk sesuai standar kualitas yang telah ditetapkan. Agar operasional perusahaan berjalan dengan efisien dan efektif, penting bagi perusahaan untuk melaksanakan pengendalian kualitas dengan tujuan mengurangi jumlah produk cacat atau yang tidak memenuhi persyaratan. PT XYZ beroperasi dalam sektor manufaktur dan menghasilkan berbagai jenis produk termasuk Shop Floor Gauge, Precision Parts, Clamping Tools, Cutting Tools, Mould & Dies, serta Jig and Fixtures. Dalam proses produksinya, produk die casting mold menunjukkan tingkat kecacatan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kategori produk lain seperti single part, jig, dan mold plastik. Untuk mengatasi situasi ini, penelitian ini akan menerapkan metode Statistical Quality Control (SQC) dengan memanfaatkan tujuh alat analisis (seven tools), termasuk di dalamnya diagram alir proses, check sheet, histogram, diagram pareto, cause and effect diagram, scatter diagram, dan peta kendali. Dalam konteks tiga jenis cacat yaitu mold cacat visual, diameter mold salah hole, dan mold kurang cutting, ditemukan bahwa cacat terbesar terjadi pada mold cacat visual dengan total 386 unit atau sekitar 46%. Untuk mengurangi tingkat cacat pada produk die casting mold, telah diajukan saran perbaikan berdasarkan beberapa faktor, termasuk kondisi lingkungan, kinerja mesin, efektivitas manusia, dan metode yang digunakan dalam pemeriksaan die casting mold.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of both technical and non-technical aspects in the mini vise manufacturing process practicum at technical education institutions. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 138 respondents, consisting of students who participated in the practicum. The questionnaire measured various technical aspects such as meeting schedules, punctuality, clarity of information, consistency in delivery, and problem-solving, as well as non-technical aspects such as teaching methods, the role of practicum assistants, module content-reports, teaching and learning activities, and learning outcomes. The results indicate that, in terms of technical aspects, the majority of respondents agreed that meeting schedules (64.1%), clarity of information (68.1%), and problem-solving (77.9%) were carried out effectively, although punctuality still requires improvement, with 39.1% of respondents remaining neutral. Regarding non-technical aspects, teaching methods (81.2%), the quality of practicum assistants (81.9%), and teaching activities (81.2%) received positive assessments from most respondents. However, some areas still need further attention to improve consistency and overall respondent satisfaction. The main conclusion of this study is that the mini vise manufacturing process practicum has generally been effective and efficient, although there are several aspects that require improvement, particularly in terms of punctuality and consistency in delivery. Recommendations from this study include improving time management, enhancing the clarity of information, and providing further training for practicum assistants.

Abstract

Opak Ujo UMKM was established in 2000 and has maintained its existence until now. Despite its great potential, Opak Ujo still faces significant challenges in increasing its competitiveness, both locally and nationally. These challenges include competition with manufacturers of similar products, limited innovation in product development, and limited effective promotional strategies.  Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the product innovation and promotion carried out by Opak Ujo UMKM in an  effort  to  increase  competitiveness.  The method used  in  this  study  is  a  qualitative analysis method by describing the results of the study through descriptive narratives. The results of this study are that product innovation and promotion carried out by Opak Ujo UMKM can increase competitiveness, but not significantly due to several obstacles such  as  the  lack of  continuous innovation  and  intensive  promotion  through  social media. With continuous product innovation and the use of social media as a means of intensive promotion, it will increase competitiveness with UMKM that produce similar products
