Abstract

Compulsive internet use on teenagers is a challenging topic in research these days. Howpsychology explains this behavior becomes really important to study on and to controlcompulsive internet use on teenagers. Objective of this study is to determine significance ofpersonality effect (extraversion, agreeableness, neuroticism), self-control, loneliness, and genderon compulsive internet use on teenagers. Respondentsof this study were 290 indonesianteenagers aged 18-20 year-old who are active on social media. Result of this study indicatesthat neuroticism, self control, and emotional loneliness have significant effect on compulsiveinternet use. This study also indicates that further study is needed to determine other variableseffect such as health and psychosocial well being on compulsive internet use on teenagers.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the significance of the influence of related variables email (the email work importance, email volume, email management tactics, email overload), type D personality and demographics (gender, occupation, age) against work stress. Participants in this study were employees who use email as a medium job taken with non- probability sampling technique that is convenience sampling. CFA Technique (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) was used to test the validity of measuring instruments and multiple regression analysis was used to test the research hypothesis.This research showed that is significantly related variables email, type D personality, anddemographics (gender, occupation and age) as an influence on work stress. A large proportion of thevariance of work stress described by all independent variables by 46.4%, while the remaining 53.6% isinfluenced by other variables outside of this study. There are three variables that significantly to jobstress, type D personality, gender and occupation. While the variable related to email (email workimportance, email volume, email management tactics, email overload), and age did not significantlyinfluence work stress. Researchers suggest the company should have the data of employees who havepersonality type D, in order to minimize the stress of work on employees. DOI: 10.15408/tazkiya.v22i1.8163

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan kunci dari berbagai aspek kehidupan, dengan hal ini peneliti melakukan penelitian tentang variabel mediator growth mindset dan parenting style. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran motivasi belajar sebagai variabel mediator growth mindset dan parenting style terhadap academic grit siswa SMP. Populasi penelitian ini merupakan seluruh siswa-siswi di SMP Islamiyah Ciputat. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 267 siswa dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara non-probabality sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Peneliti menggunakan alat ukur academic grit yang dikembangkan oleh Clarck dan Malecky, growth mindset menggunakan alat ukur yang dikembangkan oleh Blackwell, Trzesniewski, dan Dweck, parenting style menggunakan alat ukur yang dikembangkan oleh Dunn, dan motivasi belajar menggunakan alat ukur yang dikembangkan oleh Pintrich dan Groot. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan teknik statistik structural equating modeling menggunakan AMOS dan untuk menguji validitas konstruk menggunakan LISREL 8.7. Data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan teknik statistik structural equation modeling dan menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan growth mindset terhadap academic grit, tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan pola asuh authoritative jika dibandingkan authoritarian sebagai kontrol terhadap academic grit, dan tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan pola asuh permissive jika dibandingkan authoritarian sebagai kontrol terhadap academic grit. Hasil uji model struktural dengan motivasi belajar sebagai variabel mediator menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dalam memediasi pengaruh growth mindset dan parenting style terhadap academic grit. Saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya agar memperbanyak variabel psikologis lainnya agar memperoleh hasil yang lebih komprehensif terkait academic grit.

Abstract

Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) is the most reliable method of construct validity analysis in the fields of psychology, education and social sciences. From the author's observations on research articles as well as bachelor and graduate theses, and dissertations using CFA, it was found that there are a lot of misunderstandings and incompleteness in reporting CFA analysis. This paper is intended as an effort to improve this situation and provide recommendations in reporting data analysis using CFA. At the very least, this article is to show the important things that must be considered in understanding and using CFA and test theory in general.

Abstract

Abstract This research was conducted to find out the significance of the influence of religiosity, transformational leadership style and demography on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) on 138 state-owned employees in PT. Surveyor Indonesia and 88 private employees in the Household Pesticide Industry Company. Sampling conducted using non probability sampling. The measuring tool used in this study took from Huber (2012) figures to measure religiosity, Rafferty and Griffin (2014) to measure transformational leadership styles. Test the validity of measuring instruments using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) techniques and data analysis techniques using multiple regression analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence of religiosity, transformational leadership style and demography on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) by contributing 26.2%. That is, the proportion of variance of organizational citizenship behavior explained together by religiosity, transformational leadership style and demography is 26.2% while the other 73.8% is influenced by other variables beyond this study. Abstrak Penelitian  ini  dilakukan  untuk  mengetahui  signifikansi  pengaruh  religiusitas,  gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan demografi terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) pada 138 karyawan BUMN di PT. Surveyor Indonesia dan 88 karyawan swasta   di Perusahaan   Industri   Pestisida   Rumah   Tangga.   Pengambilan   sampel   yang   dilakukan menggunakan non probability sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengambil dari tokoh Huber (2012) untuk mengukur religiusitas, Rafferty dan Griffin (2014) untuk mengukur gaya kepemimpinan transformasional. Uji validitas alat ukur menggunakan teknik  Confirmatory  Factor  Analysis (CFA)  dan  teknik  analisis  data  menggunakan  teknik analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari religiusitas, gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan demografi terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) dengan memberikan kontribusi sebesar 26,2%. Artinya,  proporsi  varians  dari  organizational  citizenship  behavior yang  dijelaskan  secara bersama-sama oleh religiusitas, gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan demografi adalah sebesar 26,2% sementara 73,8% lainnya dipengaruhioleh variabel lain diluar penelitian ini. DOI : 10.15408/jp3i.v6i2.9160

Abstract

Measuring continuous learning (CL) competency is beneficial to achieving success for individuals and organizations. For this reason, the availability of a brief but valid instrument is crucial. This study aims to develop a valid instrument to measure the CL using a situational judgment test (SJT). The instrument was developed and validated using respondents of 502 employees at the supervisory level in the electrical industry (with age M=30.13, SD=6.17). For content validity, we first held focus group discussions with supervisors and managers to identify and develop some essential characteristics of the CL. Subject matter experts were involved in writing and reviewing the items. A confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to test the construct validity, and it was found that 12 of 13 items fitted a unidimensional model. All the factor loadings were statistically significant (p<.05). A further test for parallel assumption was done to check the tau-equivalence. This test is vital because raw scores are mostly used in daily practice rather than scaled scores. The results showed that 12 items met the tau equivalent requirement. For further research, scoring for multiple-choice SJTs using the nominal response model (NRM) could be considered since there was a tendency for some of the questions to elicit ambiguous choices.

Abstract

Religious violent extremism remains a problem for Indonesia. Recently, three consecutive attacks carried out by violent religious extremists — a suicide bombing in front of a Cathedral Church in Makassar South Sulawesi, the discovery of several prepared high explosive bombs in Condet Jakarta, and a female lone wolf attack on the Indonesian Police Criminal Investigation Agency — shocked the public (Fakta-data di Balik Bom Bunuh Diri, 29 Maret 2021; Polisi sebut Terduga Teroris Condet & Bekasi, 2021; Teroris Penyerang Mabes Polri, 2021). It may not be surprising since there were some early indications from various studies that some Indonesian people still have religious attitudes and behaviors that are exclusive, closed, anti-citizenship, anti-state, and even pro-violence (PPIM, 2016, 2017, 2018; Puspidep, 2017, 2018). The PPIM study results (2018) show that around 58.5 percent of students tend to be religious radical, and 51.1 percent tend to be intolerant to differences within Muslim groups. Then, as many as 34.3 percent of students are intolerant to non-Muslim groups. Radical views that are intolerant toward those who are different are the first step to violent extremism. These studies are a reminder that violent extremism is a problem for all of Indonesian society. Therefore, PPIM surveyed the perceptions of the public, students, teachers, and Indonesian Members of Parliament on violent extremism.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana insentif finansial mempengaruhi perilaku kerjasama, serta sejauh mana tabu dan tingkat konstrual (abstrak atau konkret) mempengaruhi keinginan untuk melakukan pertukaran. Untuk menjawab pertanyaan tersebut, penelitian ini melakukan studi di tiga konteks di tiga tempat yang berbeda, yaitu bimbingan belajar dari senior ke junior di universitas (Depok), renovasi masjid (Mojokerto), dan renovasi pura (Bali). Penelitian di Depok dilakukan dalam seting laboratorium, sedangkan penelitian di Mojokerto dan Bali dilakukan dalam seting lapangan. Di Depok, kami menemukan bahwa partisipan mau melakukan pertukaran tabu dan cenderung tidak menganggap insentif finansial dalam bimbingan belajar sebagai tabu. Di Mojokerto dan Bali, partisipan juga mau melakukan pertukaran, meski menganggap pertukaran tersebut tabu. Secara umum, partisipan juga cenderung melakukan pertukaran tabu di situasi konkret.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work and family conflicts as well as family and work conflicts on work engagement, and personality extraversion and conscientiousness as moderator variables in ministries x. Through this research, it is expected to know the significance of the influence of work and family conflicts and family and work conflicts on the work engagement, and whether conscientiousness and extraversion personalities can be moderator variables for Ministry X employees. The population studied in this study was PNS Ministry X. this study amounted to 210 respondents. Data collection instruments using the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) were developed by Schaufeli and Bakker, work and family conflicts and family and work conflicts developed by Netemeyer et al., 1996. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis methods, and validation testing construct using the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) technique. The research sample was determined using convenient sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence of the variable influence of work and family conflicts as well as family and work conflicts on work engagement. Extraversion and conscientiousness personality also affect work totality. Extraversion personality does not moderate the relationship of work and family conflicts and family and work conflicts to the totality of work. So that Hypothesis 05 and Hypothesis 06 are accepted. Personality conscientiousness moderates the relationship of work and family conflict and family and work conflict to work engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of health behavior and work flexibility on work-life balance, with stress management as a mediating variable among working mothers who are micro-entrepreneurs (UMKM) in Serang City. The research employed a quantitative correlational approach using path analysis techniques. A total of 202 working mothers participated in the study, all of whom have children under the age of three and are actively running micro-enterprises in the Serang area. The findings indicate that both health behavior and work flexibility have significant effects on work-life balance, both directly and indirectly through stress management. These results highlight the importance of promoting healthy lifestyle behaviors, supporting flexible work policies, and strengthening stress management strategies to enhance the work-life balance of working mothers.
