Abstract

Divorce is currently an increasingly comon phenomenon in urban area, including among Muslims in Indonesia and Malaysia. This phenomenon raises legal, social and psychological challenges that affect family resilience after divorce. Family resilience is not confined solely to the upper-middle-class, but also to all individuals striving to persevere in their daily lives after divorce. This research aims to explore the legal behavior of urban Muslims after divorce, with a focus on how individuals in these two countries deal with issues related to economic, socio-cultural and psychological issues. This is field research that uses qualitative methods related to the dynamics of family resilience in urban Muslim communities in Indonesia and Malaysia. The research was conducted using in-depth interviews. The results of this research are that each post-divorce family has a dynamic process in achieving family resilience. Factors that influence family resilience are not only oneself but also social support. This process needs to be strengthened by government support with strategic policies to ensure the fulfillment of post-divorce rights which can speed up the resilience process. Malaysia is more advanced in dealing with post-divorce family resilience with the existence of Bahagian Sokongan Keluarga (BSK). This research is able to contribute to the study of Islamic law and family resilience after divorce. In addition, this research offers strategic insights for the development of more inclusive policies and an Islamic legal perspective to support social justice and family welfare after divorce in both countries.

Abstract

Abstract Children have shown maladaptive behavior in the post-pandemic, such as bullying, decreased interest in learning, choosing to play with gadgets rather than socializing, and becoming abusers of their peers. Violence is usually motivated by differences of opinion, ethnic background, culture, and education. This is a serious concern, applying religious moderation values in parenting can help children grow optimally with more adaptive, tolerant, and respectful behavior. This study aims to solve the problem of children's maladaptive behavior by involving the role of parents through positive parenting by implementing the value of religious moderation. This research method uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, with the value of religious moderation as a framework, including the pillars of national commitment, tolerance, non-violence, and accommodating local traditions. The results showed that children's maladaptive behavior is caused by low parental supervision and lack of activities. The community realizes the need for knowledge about positive parenting that contains the values of religious moderation, the implementation of parenting practice activities, and the evaluation of activities that impact a peaceful and safe life in the community. This research shows the importance of the role of citizens in encouraging the creation of positive parenting and the importance of religious moderation values in instilling the value of diversity and tolerance in children. . Abstract

The development of the internet has provided easier access to information, entertainment, and communication. However, its use among the public has remained unstructured, particularly in supporting educational activities and positive parenting in the digital era. Various cyber risks have emerged, potentially affecting family well-being, especially in densely populated urban areas. This study aimed to describe the role and interaction between parents, families, communities, and local policies in enhancing digital literacy and family cyber resilience. This research employed a qualitative phenomenological approach with 16 respondents. Data were collected through focus group discussions and analyzed using Parson’s System Theory. The data analysis process followed the stages of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The validity of the data was tested through source triangulation, comparing FGD findings with in-depth interviews conducted with digital policy experts. The research showed that parents were concerned about their children's internet usage. Efforts to promote digital literacy were continuously carried out through collaboration among families, communities, government, and other stakeholders to strengthen cyber resilience in densely populated environments. The findings of this study could be utilized to support the development of effective empowerment and intervention programs to increase cyber resilience, enhance family welfare, and develop cyber resilience support systems in densely populated settlements.
