Abstract

This research aims to analyze and develop innovative learning management strategies through practical and theoretical approaches that align with the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) concept at Pamulang University. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The subjects of this study are lecturers and students involved in the MBKM Program. The data analysis technique used is triangulation. The research findings indicate that the learning management strategy at Pamulang University focuses on collaboration, flexibility, and project-based learning, supported by digital technology and industry partnerships. The main challenges faced include the readiness of technological infrastructure, the adaptation of lecturers and students to self-directed learning, as well as coordination with external partners and the alignment of academic administration. Nevertheless, best practices in the implementation of MBKM, such as industry collaboration, Project-Based Learning, student exchanges, and academic flexibility, have successfully created an innovative and relevant learning ecosystem, supporting students in developing the skills needed in the workforce.

Abstract

Statistics is an essential course in the curriculum of the Informatics Engineering Study Program, as it plays a crucial role in equipping students with skills in data analysis, information processing, and data-driven decision-making. However, various studies have reported that students often experience low self-efficacy in statistics, which can hinder their academic performance and engagement. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of the ICT-based APOS model and the M-APOS model on students’ self-efficacy, taking into account their Initial Mathematical Ability (IMA). The APOS theory provides the foundation for the instructional models used, while Bandura’s theory of self-efficacy underpins the construct being measured. A quasi-experimental method was employed using a 2 × 2 factorial design (treatment by level). The data analyzed were students’ scores on a validated and reliable self-efficacy questionnaire, and a two-way ANOVA was used as the analytical technique. Prerequisite tests included the Lilliefors test for normality and Levene’s test for homogeneity. The rationale for selecting the ICT-based APOS and M-APOS models lies in their potential to address cognitive and metacognitive learning challenges in mathematical thinking. The results showed that, overall, students taught using the ICT-based APOS model demonstrated higher self-efficacy than those taught with the M-APOS model. A significant interaction was found between the learning model and IMA on students’ self-efficacy. Students with high IMA who received instruction through the ICT-based APOS model exhibited greater self-efficacy than those who experienced the M-APOS model. Among students with low IMA, there was no significant difference. These findings suggest that integrating technology into constructivist learning models such as APOS can enhance students’ confidence in learning statistics, particularly for those with a strong mathematical foundation, and inform future innovations in adaptive, ability-sensitive instructional design.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the Android-based application Talkbuddy as an inclusive communication medium for teaching English and Statistics to deaf students at Universitas Pamulang. The application is designed to address communication challenges in learning by incorporating features such as speech-to-text transcription, group discussion forums, access to learning modules, educational videos, the latest news in education, and a space for sharing experiences. This research adopts the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Luther-Sutopo model, which includes the stages of concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. The trial was conducted with two deaf students who participated in a series of application usage tests to evaluate the effectiveness and practicality of the developed features. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and questionnaires throughout the trial process. Data analysis was conducted through expert validation (content and media), alpha testing, and beta testing. The results indicate that the Talkbuddy application enhances communication accessibility and supports inclusive learning processes in English and Statistics courses, with average scores in alpha and beta testing exceeding 80, indicating a high level of feasibility. This application offers an innovative solution to the academic communication barriers faced by deaf students and is expected to contribute to the advancement of inclusive learning technology in higher education.

Abstract

Abstract

The transformation of technology-based quality assurance policies has become a strategic necessity for higher education institutions in the era of Society 5.0, where digital technology serves as a catalyst for enhancing national competitiveness and educational excellence. Universities are required not only to maintain administrative quality standards but also to develop adaptive, data-driven, and sustainable quality systems. This paper aims to analyze and synthesize contemporary theories relevant to formulating a conceptual model of technology-based quality policy in higher education. This study employs a qualitative method through a library research approach and conceptual analysis, conducted by critically examining theories of quality management, digital leadership, learning innovation, and recent educational policies (2020–2025). The synthesis reveals that the integration of Digital Quality Management (DQM), the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), Learning Analytics, and Digital Leadership forms the core foundation for constructing a futuristic and outcome-oriented quality policy framework. Based on this analysis, a conceptual model titled the Digital Quality Policy Model for Higher Education in Society 5.0 (DQPM–HE5.0) is proposed, consisting of four key pillars: (1) Governance and Digital Leadership, (2) Digital Quality Management Systems, (3) Human Capacity and Pedagogical Innovation, and (4) Sustainability and Resilience. This model represents a dynamic quality policy system that emphasizes continuous improvement and is grounded in empirical data. Its implementation is expected to foster a smart, resilient, and globally competitive higher education ecosystem. Thus, the transformation of technology-based quality policies not only strengthens institutional governance but also serves as a national strategy to realize competitive, inclusive, and sustainable higher education in support of Indonesia’s Golden Vision 2045.
